Went through the Over Air update process yesterday, now WIFI drops all the time and the battery performance is so poor the phone will not last a day!Can I put back the old SW or get this fixed some how? (edit a config fiel or something.......?)
View 2 RepliesI would like to know what other users of the N900 think of the battery.I have only had a my device a few days and I can only get less than a day's use out of the battery.This is with the Wifi switched off (I mainly use the 3.5G). I do very little internet browsing. I just leave the phone on my desk, check my emails occasionally. Is this normal performance ? Does anyone get more than a day's use?

View 1 Replies View Relatedive been dilligently updating my 5800 since i got it, ive not been happy with some of the updates like the stupid swipe alarm system (imho its stupid) and everything has generally been an improvement until i update to the latest version available to me on o2 in the uk,since then the phone has actually ran slower, ive needed to tap the screen more than once to get a response and sometimes during text entry i can only describe the phone as going mad thinking the screen is still being touched and entereing in letters or backspacing the entire block of text its a tad dissapointing to be honest, and re-calibrating the screen has made no improvement, one thing i admit to not trying yet is reinstalling the software but i wondered if anyone else had a similar problems since then as well

I'm a very heavy user of my phone and managed to get 8 hours of screen on time out of it in between charges. I'm not sure if it has been gradual or sudden but I've noticed that lately, the battery life on my phone only lasts for about 3 hours of screen on time. I use my phone for the same things as I did when I first got it.
When I got my phone it was preinstalled with 4.4.4, I got the 5.0.2 update in mid-april and I got the 5.1.1 update a few days ago.
Since i got my Z2 phone i've been having troubles with WiFi signal, but it doesn't matter to me... Last week I got a bluetooth gadget for my device and I am having issues with the bluetooth signal too, if something is obstructing between the router or bluetooth gadget and my cell phone, it present a huge loss of signal.I tested with my old phone (Xperia ION) and works great, so there's a trouble with the bluetooth / wifi receptor of my device... ¿How could I fix it? View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the xperia z5 for Christmas and noticed that the WiFi was almost constantly dropping during use. I brought the phone back and got a replacement but it occurs with the new one too as it seems its a well known problem.
Basically, my wifi just drops during use and it requires me to turn wifi off and back on again so it will reconnect. I could easily do this 5 times within a couple of minutes, other times it will barely happen.
I bought an Xperia Ray last Saturday because my HTC Salsa was struggling to connect and stay connected to my home wifi and also had internal memory problems (not enough internal memory)..Now I'm having different wifi problems with the Ray.It connects but the connection is very slow although nothing else is accessing the wifi and when my husband connects with his Samsung Galaxy it is fine and very fast. Every time the screen light goes out (set to every 10 mins at the moment) it seems to drop the wifi connection and when I "wake " it again it has just the mobile connection but starts to connect again straight away, unfortunately this is not fast.

I have to disable the wifi connection then reconnect for the phone to connect to the internet. This happens everytime i try to go on the net. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having a strange issue when using both Bluetooth and Wifi simultaneously.
This happens pretty regularly when using the Spotify app whilst having the phone audio connected to a Bluetooth speaker. The pairing process works without issue. However, as soon as I begin searching the app for music, and select a track for playing, the WiFi connection drops. Sometimes It eventually reconnects, other times I have to go back to settings and manually select the network once again.
During the connection drop, I can still see the Wifi network and all my other devices still remain connected. Rebooting the doesnt fix it, nor does disabling/enabling the wifi. Its rendering the phone useless for music streaming!
My Xperia Pro is running stock ICS 4.1.B.0.587.
It's hard to get a connection with a 802.1x EAP wifi. Even if I managed to get connected, the wifi is very unstable and will disconnect now and then!
I have tried reinstall by using update service and PC companion but the problem still exist. Is it a software or hardware issue?
I'm currently experiencing some problems with my wifi on my xperia z2 and every 2 or 3 seconds my wifi keeps droping out and connecting to the mobile network and i've tried restarting my handset and seems fine for like half hour then it goes back to dropping out now would it be something to do with my software as i'm currently on 5.0.2 or is it best i do a factory reset as i've not done one it like 8 months from when i first got my phone..

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince updating my E71 to v500, and then to v510 just recently, I have been suffering from terrible battery life when the phone is connected to a WiFi access point. I'm sure it's not a hardware problem, as I noticed it as soon as I first updated to v500. If I leave the E71 connected to WiFi, my battery will be flat in just a couple of hours and the phone is noticeably hot to the touch. I initially thought it may be the battery being a problem, so I bought a new one but still exactly the same.
On another point, the Podcasting application is now terribly slow. I wish I would have never updated from V300, which was fine. I've tried reinstalling the F/W a few times, and not restoring from a backup, but still the same problem. I also read in another thread that someone deleted the Lotus Notes application, and it fixed this problem, but alas, has not done so for me.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOk so I have a 3GS and used to have decent battery performance, losing maybe 3% over night. Well I jailbroke and like a lot of people had way worse battery, losing up to 10% over night. I did a complete restore and re jailbroke and it seemed a little better.
Well I was charging the phone tonight by USB to my computer. I checked it and saw it was at 99%. I went to watch a show and came back and now was it was at 96% still plugged in and charging. I then rebooted the phone and it was at 98%. Anyone know what the reason for this could be and a solution?
I used to get pretty good life out of my stock bionic battery. I updated the OTA update early today and since then the battery level has been going down at almost 10% every 30 - 40 mins. Following is the list in my battery usage queue. This is after I did a system reset and left my phone without any new apps (except for facebook).

I am planning to charge it to 100% and then see how it behaves. Will keep this thread posted with stats from my phone.
I recently bought a Nokia 6700 slide and it comes in a package with a BL-4CT battery 860 mAh, 3.7 V and 3.2 Wh. How the battery performance is poor ( keep about two days), I thought to replace it with a BL-5CT battery 1050 mAh, 3.7 V and 3.9 Wh, or BL-5J battery 1320 mAh. Or even a BP-4L battery 1500 mAh ( that do not know if it fits ).Can I improve in this way life time during the talk and standby?

I wish they could push an update that doesn't require this crap, but its never happened.
I have heard many conflicting versions of the optimal way to maximize the battery's life. It would be great to get some clarity from the experts.
1. Can you charge the phone at any time or should the battery be drawn all of the way down?
2. Once the battery is fully charged, should it be immediately disconnected from the charger, or is it OK to leave the charger attached?
3. if you are using the device, and it is below full charge, is it OK to have it charging while you are using it?
Why is the battery life for the 4s so poor?

Since taking delivery of new 6700 couple of days ago the battery is lucky to last 10 hours with the bluetooth turned off, there is a symbol that i cannot find an explanation for which is an @ with a + sign inside it, could this be the reason why or do i just need to send the phone back with a faulty battery ?
