I've had my Electrify for two days now and have noticed less that stellar wifi performance, compared to the 3 other smartphones that I have had previously. I noticed that the Photon has recently (last week) had an update to help wifi performance. When will this update be available for the Electrify?

View 10 Replies View Relatedive been dilligently updating my 5800 since i got it, ive not been happy with some of the updates like the stupid swipe alarm system (imho its stupid) and everything has generally been an improvement until i update to the latest version available to me on o2 in the uk,since then the phone has actually ran slower, ive needed to tap the screen more than once to get a response and sometimes during text entry i can only describe the phone as going mad thinking the screen is still being touched and entereing in letters or backspacing the entire block of text its a tad dissapointing to be honest, and re-calibrating the screen has made no improvement, one thing i admit to not trying yet is reinstalling the software but i wondered if anyone else had a similar problems since then as well

I've also disabled third-party applications so that only the stock-applications are running in the background.Is there a way to downgrade back to the previous firmware?

I do very little internet browsing. I just leave the phone on my desk, check my emails occasionally. Is this normal performance ? Does anyone get more than a day's use?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, my Electrify will not connect to my home network. I have Macs and use an Airport Extreme router. When I open up wifi settings it sees my network, as usual, and then I have to select it to "connect". Which I do. It scans to connect and then, within seconds, disconnects. It will keep scanning and I see my network there and could repeat this process over 100 times with the same results.
View 7 Replies View RelatedA couple of weeks ago my phone was updated to the latest system software, and now am experiencing a slight problem. My phone can no longer connect to a WiFi where the wireless SSID Broadcast is disabled. Once enabled, it will automatically connect, as if it couldn't find it before. Then, if I disable the broadcasting, it will disconnect as if the wireless were shut down. It didn't do this before the update. Is there a setting or something that needs to be changed? After the update, I had a setting or two changed, automatically it seemed, that caused problems (such as the Data Saver turned on) but this is the last thing I'm having issues with.

Although we had no problem using wifi with our old phones, the Electrify searches, connects and then immediately disconnects. I've spent hours checking out the router software as the admin, checking on line to see if others have reported this and I've tried every combination of options on the Electrify. We're both running Win7 and both use our routers successfully on other wireless devices in our homes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIam a Uscc agent and I have a customer with the electrify and their phone is dying within a couple of hours and only sending a couple of text messages and making one phone call I have given a battery swap and checked the phone for any bad apps but there were no additional applications installed and settings do not seem out of place and compared it to mine that I have abd everything matches and mine lasts me an entire day of heavy use. Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).

Since i got my Z2 phone i've been having troubles with WiFi signal, but it doesn't matter to me... Last week I got a bluetooth gadget for my device and I am having issues with the bluetooth signal too, if something is obstructing between the router or bluetooth gadget and my cell phone, it present a huge loss of signal.I tested with my old phone (Xperia ION) and works great, so there's a trouble with the bluetooth / wifi receptor of my device... ¿How could I fix it?
