Jun 19, 2012Rather suddenly, plugging in my earbuds doesn't shut off external sound and enable the headphones. Thinking I'd screwed up a setting somewhere, I looked all over setup but cannot find anything to enable/disable. Is it me or my phone? Tried different players (I use winamp), different plugs. Did not reset the phone because I've spent considerable time loading and tweaking apps/settings/fonts etc and do not wish to lose all that.

Jun 7, 2011I am using the 200MB per month T-Mobile plan. I have used the Motorola DEFY for about four months now and haven't had a problem with it randomly using massive amounts of data at once. My bill recycles every 27th of the month, and a couple days ago, my phone used up 100 MB of data in one day. According to the phone usage app, the phone was continously using data during the hours I was asleep (even though the WiFi is ON). This has never happened before, and I am almost at my 200 MB limit because the phone keeps using data. At this rate I will hit 200MB probably this week, waaay before the 27th and I don't want to be charged for the extra data that I didn't even use. I tried going to Settings --> Data Manager --> Data --> and Background Data and Data Roaming were UNCHECKED. But whenever I go to #932#, my data usage keeps creeping up and up.

Dec 7, 2011All of a sudden, my Electrify will not connect to my home network. I have Macs and use an Airport Extreme router. When I open up wifi settings it sees my network, as usual, and then I have to select it to "connect". Which I do. It scans to connect and then, within seconds, disconnects. It will keep scanning and I see my network there and could repeat this process over 100 times with the same results.

Dec 23, 2011A couple of weeks ago my phone was updated to the latest system software, and now am experiencing a slight problem. My phone can no longer connect to a WiFi where the wireless SSID Broadcast is disabled. Once enabled, it will automatically connect, as if it couldn't find it before. Then, if I disable the broadcasting, it will disconnect as if the wireless were shut down. It didn't do this before the update. Is there a setting or something that needs to be changed? After the update, I had a setting or two changed, automatically it seemed, that caused problems (such as the Data Saver turned on) but this is the last thing I'm having issues with.

Feb 5, 2012My daughter (who lives in another town) and I just switched from Samsung Mesmerize to Electrify phones. We both have D-Link DIR-655 routers in our homes. Although we had no problem using wifi with our old phones, the Electrify searches, connects and then immediately disconnects. I've spent hours checking out the router software as the admin, checking on line to see if others have reported this and I've tried every combination of options on the Electrify. We're both running Win7 and both use our routers successfully on other wireless devices in our homes.

Nov 17, 2011Testing the multi touch functionality of my phone, to my dismay, shows acknowledgement of two points of contact. Needless to say, the piano app that I use.( for jotting down quick ideas, I am a music director at my church and a songwriter) is nearly unusable because piano often uses more than two fingers. I know that the hacking community has been able to enable up to 8 points if multitouch. Is this going to be enabled for this phone? I would hate to get rid of it since I love everything else about it, and have no problems at all with any functionality. ( aside from that whole pesky multitouch thing).
