Xperia Mini/pro :: How To Improve Battery Performance
Nov 28, 2011
The battery backup is very low. However the specification says the standby is min. 200 hrs. But my battery runs before that (22 hrs when kept idle)May i have any suggestion. How to improve battery performance?
XMP's recorded videos are pixelated and lack details. Most probably x10MP uses the same camera sensor but shoots less noisier photos(though lacks details than XMP). x10MP's minimum ISO is 40 but XMP's minimum is 64. For photos, improving Post Processing Algorithms like 2x1 chroma subsampling and noise reduction will make this device much better.
Went through the Over Air update process yesterday, now WIFI drops all the time and the battery performance is so poor the phone will not last a day!Can I put back the old SW or get this fixed some how? (edit a config fiel or something.......?)
Okay, so I'm on the move a lot, travelling to and from University each day which can take anywhere between 1-2 hours getting there and getting back. I'm always on my phone during travelling as there isb't much else to do and I like to keep in touch with friends. I use Facebook and the internet a lot on their and I understand this is why my battery runs down so quick. Using it for I'd say 3 or so hours and the battery is done, I usually take my usb cable to uni so I can charge it ready for the journey home. Is there anyway I can get the same usage out of it and not drain the battery so much? I am thinking of getting a new battery first off as I'd say the current one would not be able to achieve good life againt, but is there long lasting batteries I can get?
I have been using bb9900 for over a month. Like everyone, I am having a problem with the battery of bb9900. 3 day ago, I have up the leak 440 but did not improve the problem of pin. After 6 hours in standby mode my battery from 99% down to 87%. Is that really not normal?
I've had the 4s since the day it was released and have experienced poor battery life from day 1. I've tried everything and I've loaded both software updates that were supposed to help but have not. Within the first 2 weeks of having it, the genuis bar replaced the phone as a troubleshooting step - same result. The batteries on both phones tested out fine by the genius bar. I've had it back to the store since the replacement and they wiped it and reloaded the software - no difference. I've eliminated all apps, turned off email, turned off all alerts, notifications and location services -- to no avail.
Aside from the obvious route of getting a larger battery, does anyone have tips for maximizing their battery life? So far the ones I have seen include turning off wifi when it's not needed and making sure all apps are closed when finished with them. Has anyone found any good ones?
I got this phone about 2 months ago. It worked fine until a couple weeks ago. The battery life went seriously downhill. At first, the battery would die and not charge. Then I got 2 replacement batteries, followed by the original battery. All three of them have a battery life of 5 hours. I turn off the wi-fi and kill all the apps, but the battery life still stays the same. When I checked the battery usage, it says that the phone idle time used up about half of the battery life. I know that android phones have short battery lives, but 5 hours is ridiculous.
I've just had my blackberry 9900 for a week and the battery life is terrible. I have gps (Location), bluetooth, wifi all turned off. I have the brightness at its lowest, and I close all the apps. I even logged off facebook and twitter. What else do I have to do? to save battery.
a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35% A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery. So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...
I would like to know what other users of the N900 think of the battery.I have only had a my device a few days and I can only get less than a day's use out of the battery. This is with the Wifi switched off (I mainly use the 3.5G). I do very little internet browsing. I just leave the phone on my desk, check my emails occasionally. Is this normal performance ? Does anyone get more than a day's use?
concerning the poor battery performance of the Xoom after the 3.1 update. Unfortunately the search function of this forum is totally rubbish, resetting the capacity readout by deleting some kind of init file...
I have looked online everywhere for a replacement battery and am unable to find one! Can you please direct me in the correct direction, and the battery required is as on the url supplied [URL] 3.7V 950 mAh Li-Polymer battery Measuring 40 x 35 x 5.5 mm and weighing in at a scant 18 grams?way of China or EU as it has already been four weeks that my battery crashed and would only work if plugged in continuously and now just does not work full stop!
I have just upgraded my phone to the 9900 bold, I wish I could disable the touch screen or have an auto locking facility? I cant find it. Also the battery life is only about 50% of my 9600 - not what I expected given that Blackberry are reknown for the battery life
Ok so I have a 3GS and used to have decent battery performance, losing maybe 3% over night. Well I jailbroke and like a lot of people had way worse battery, losing up to 10% over night. I did a complete restore and re jailbroke and it seemed a little better.
Well I was charging the phone tonight by USB to my computer. I checked it and saw it was at 99%. I went to watch a show and came back and now was it was at 96% still plugged in and charging. I then rebooted the phone and it was at 98%. Anyone know what the reason for this could be and a solution?
im dealing with poor battery performance of the Xoom after the 3.1 update. Unfortunately the search function of this forum is totally rubbish, so i am not able to find the answer where someone explains how to solve this by resetting the capacity readout by deleting some kind of init file.
I used to get pretty good life out of my stock bionic battery. I updated the OTA update early today and since then the battery level has been going down at almost 10% every 30 - 40 mins. Following is the list in my battery usage queue. This is after I did a system reset and left my phone without any new apps (except for facebook).
Display 30% Android System 17% com.motorola.contacts 12% Android OS 9% com.motorola.home 8% ....
I am planning to charge it to 100% and then see how it behaves. Will keep this thread posted with stats from my phone.
I recently bought a Nokia 6700 slide and it comes in a package with a BL-4CT battery 860 mAh, 3.7 V and 3.2 Wh. How the battery performance is poor ( keep about two days), I thought to replace it with a BL-5CT battery 1050 mAh, 3.7 V and 3.9 Wh, or BL-5J battery 1320 mAh. Or even a BP-4L battery 1500 mAh ( that do not know if it fits ).Can I improve in this way life time during the talk and standby?
So, I had horrible battery performance after the update. I figured I would do a cache wipe. Normally this erased battery history, but not this time. The gap is during the wipe. Notice the average slope before and after
I wish they could push an update that doesn't require this crap, but its never happened.
Recently i update sony xperia mini to android 4.0 battery backup is worst i charged battery full a night at morning it shows 81% battery i a have turned of wifi, gps, data brightness 25% which app can give better battery backup
I've been waiting for the update for my SI 1250-3615 and now the end is on the list, the experience with my Mini Pro is very good, battery lasts 2 days, with wifi, whatsapp, gmail, hotmail, calls and this is good, also the performance of the phone is good too, now have Android 2.3.4 (when I buy what I had installed), so if I have the latest version of Android, but I do not get to have a bad experience just to update it.With ICS the battery will last less? The performance will be less? or? I can reinstall 2.3.4 on my Android phone in a simple way without losing the warranty?
updated my x10 to 2.1 and i find this update has really slowed down the performance and is taking a long time to load even the contacts. and also timescape is pulling irrelevant pictures from twitter capturing only the name for example alan in my contact list with no twitter profile or image gets the profile pic of alan in twitter and outrageously the edit option tells me timescape editing is not possible with this phone,.NOT TOO HAPPY WITH 2.1. can i revert back to 1.6 version by any chance.further how to install tamil fonts in x10 can we get unicode tamil phonetic keyboard.
