Oct 4, 2010Wondering if anyone has had similar problem.My battery for x10 has now started to last only 4hours - even during the night when its not in use.I already have brightness down as low as possible and have followed all the other guidelines to utilise battery life. The strange thing is that I have not changed anything on the phone recently and the battery just started dying!!!!! Extremely frustrated as I also seem to be receiving texts a lot later than they were sent even though I have full network coverage. I have had the phone since October 2010.

Apr 19, 2011Have had my experia x10 for almost a year now, and battery tended to last for 2 days (using for calls/ texts/ internet) In the last few days though- I have fully charged my phone overnight, not used it at all during the day, and it has a completely dead battery 6 hours later. I've not got any applications running except for Cardio Trainer, but have always had this running.

Jun 23, 2011I don't know if this is a problem with Android in general, but my Play's battery will literally die in ~8 hours when not connected to wifi. As I write this, the phone is just sitting here next to me, not being used, and it's drawing 149mA; this number goes up substantially if the phone is actually active, or if I simply hold it in my hand. Obviously, the phone has poor reception and is expending a lot of energy to hold the signal. If I turn wifi on, it's only drawing 1mA! What the heck is the problem? Is this normal?
The facts:
-Only happens while using 3G.
-Only things syncing are one Twitter and one exchange account.
-Not using a live wallpaper.
-Wifi is turned off when I leave the house so as not to keep searching.
I'm getting so tired of monitoring this things battery. I just want to use my phone.

Dec 3, 2010a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%
A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...

May 14, 2010So had my N900 for a little over a week now and overall I'm pretty impressed. Great phone, but still very much a work in progress. One of the main issues I have at the moment, other than no turn-by-turn navigation (sorry, had to mention it), is the battery life - or lack of!
On an average weekday I use the phone to send a few texts (no more than 10), scan the news sites (no more then 20-30mins total) and catch up on my RSS feeds (again, no more than 20-30 mins total). I'm not using the media player at all and I may make one or two short calls.
Bottom line is that I'm struggling to get more than 6 hours battery life out of it. I know smart phones are thirsty, but I don't even get to listen to music on my way to or from work!Here's what I've already done to reduce battery consumption:
Removed active widgets (such as ForcaWeather) from desktops and replaced with web shortcuts.Reduced screen brightness to 2 barsDisabled GPS & Network positioningDisabled IMDisabled BluetoothI've heard some mention reducing the amount of active desktops, but I think that kinda defeats the object of having a N900. May as well buy a lesser phone if you need to strip out all the functionality to get though the day. I'd be satisfied with 8-10 hours medium use. At the moment I'm getting around 6 hours at light use - got to be something I'm missing.

I disabled Wireless settings , bluetooth etc even after that it is not possible to watch movie or video songs or play games for more than two hours. And it says battey is 1% and it'll shut down. I didn't do anything, no rooting nothing. it is same as new. It happened about 4 times during this last week.

Hence the PC companion won't recognize it as well. It doesn't vibrate or turn any lights on, just gets a little bit hotter when connected for a long period of time.
