View 4 RepliesDuring the first month of using my Xperia pro, I was very happy with my battery: while being completely idle, the phone spent only about 1% of battery every 2 of even 3 hours. However, last month this suddenly changed to 5% every hour (in airplane mode!), without installing any applications. Actually, right after charging, the battery behaved well for several hours, and then, for no obvious reason, started the drain. Things got worse lately, and I rarely see the good behavior any more.
I tried using apps like BetterBatteryStats and CpuSpy and noted that during the drain periods my phone does not enter deep sleep state at all (i.e. it is awake 100% of the time). BBS ("Raw kernel wakelocks") reported that bq24185_watchdog_lock was active for the whole time (hours!); no other processes or wakelocks took more than few seconds. This bq24185_watchdog_lock seems to be related to the battery charge management hardware (see [URL]). How to restore the initial battery behavior. Removing the battery for a couple of minutes does not work. I have the official kernel and that my phone is not rooted.
I have a completely standard xoom and noticed that its getting really warm even when in idle. It started happening last week. I thaught it might be an app I downloaded so uninstalled all new apps. Still getting warm and bad battery performance. So I done a full factory reset and still getting the issue.

I have shud down most of the unnessesary functions (ie Wifi, Bluetooth, etc) but the battery still only lasts about 8 hours when doing nothing. What can i do?

All of a sudden yesterday it started getting hot and battery was draining in about 4 to 5 hours. I did a reboot this afternoon and phone is now running cooler but battery is still draining quickly. In the last hour it has drained about 20% and i have not been on the phone. I have turned off all apps.

Battery draining @ drastic rate ever since I started using the great Xperia mini pro. Hardly a backup of 13 hours.Even tried to turn off 'accounts & sync' but no help.
I've upgraded my BB Bold 9900 software to 7.1.0 bundle 1310. Before that my battery lasted for 2 days with moderate use. Now it drains completely in 8 hours, whether the BB turned on or off! Maybe even how I can roll back the upgrade?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the past month, my galaxy S6 has been having problems. The screen won't turn on when I press the home or power button. Also when I plug it to its charger, the screen still won't turn on and the LED won't turn red as well. When this happens, I know for a fact that the phone is still turned on because the notification light blinks because of the received notification sometime during its idle time. Here's what I've tried so far:
- I am able to force reset the device by holding the power and volume down button until it restarts. I felt relieved that I am able to restart my phone when it happened the first time but pretty annoyed when it kept on happening.
- I tried clearing cache partition in recovery mode. At first I thought it worked but still...
-I already did a factory reset (twice) but right after the latest hard reset just 3 or 4 hours into it, still screen won't turn on.
- Earlier I thought that it was because of the notifications I was receiving while I was asleep (viber, facebook, sms) since when I woke up in the morning and the screen won't turn on, I had pending notifications. But recently, the screen won't turn on after being idle for a few hours without received notifications.
At first I thought it was a software issue but I'm starting to think that it might be a hardware issue. I'm planning to take it to Samsung in a few days if the problem won't go away. My device is not rooted by the way.
The above screenshots reveal that my phone is rapidly losing battery at a rate of 7.3% per hour. This value is sometimes up to 8% per hour. Has anyone else been having battery problems with their N97 mini battery recently.It started 7 days ago for me. I unplugged my phone mid charge, and noticed that on my phone the battery icon was still moving as if it was charging. I thought it was cute because maybe the atmosphere or my charisma were still charging my phone for me. I restarted my phone and it returned to normal. The following day my phone did the same thing, only this time I didn't restart it, but eventually my phone ran out of charge. Since then the battery life on my phone has been very poor, I only get about 8 hours max, and thats when I have not been on the net or made anything more than one 10 minute phone call. The battery icon has stopped moving when its unplugged, but the battery life is terrible.I have updated my software today so I will monitor it, but seriously is there something up with my battery? It has left me short two days now where I am in town and my phone has died. I am not happy.Any suggestions people?

Looking at the log with "logcat" I found the following error:
E/wpa_supplicant( 1775): ERROR - wpa_driver_tista_private_send - (ioctl_cmd = 8021501, res = 1, errno = 99) E/wpa_supplicant( 1775): ERROR - Failed to do tista scan! W/wpa_supplicant( 1775): Failed to initiate AP scan.
The only way to fix the problem is rebooting the device (and it did not even work all the times).
It keeps vibrating 24/7. As long as the screen is active the phone is vibrating.It only stops when the screen goes off, but then again, when I try to activate it, IT WONT LET ME MOVE THE CURSOR, because it is vibrating.If I take out the battery (I cant switch it off otherwise).

Since last 2 days the battery is draining out very fast ... like close to 1 day after fully charging. I am noticing this as an issue since earlier it used to take close to 2.5 days after fully charging. The usage pattern is same ... right now my cell is dead and i will provide battery usage data once i charge it .
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been loging battery performance for a while, and I've noticed that there seems to be little variance between drain while in use and drain while sleeping.
Last night my battery dropped over 50% from 100% without any [major] on screen time. The phone was totally disconnected from any radio interfaces, and everything should have been sleeping.
I do have a white list to alow my smartwatch 3 to work while the phone's asleep, but these are things like Google services.
The battery stats for the period when the battery dropped shows;
Android system 10%,
Android OS 7%
Cell Standby 3%
Screen 3%
Phone Idle 2%
Media server 1%.
I don't really code that much anymore, but if this where a system I was debugging I'd be suspicious that Android Systems and Android OS are using such a big chunk of power while the system should be asleep and waiting to be activated by the only remaining interface, the cellar connection!
I went to bed last night and my Xperia X10a was charging just fine via USB to PC. When I woke up this morning it was off and the status light was blinking red like it was dead. I couldn't get it to charge on my PC so I tried my boyfriends wall charger and when it booted up it was at 86% battery. I have had it on the charger since and it is not gaining battery life it is losing. I am now at 61%!

My battery was at 100% when I've taken it off the charger and drained much quicker than it has before, when I've just worn it as a watch/pedometer without workouts/music/heartrate off.
Now I noticed my calorie count is : 3525 and my step count is only at 1807, and no I'm not looking at it backwards.
On my sensor menu, it says my HRM is paired but not connected. THis is the only thing different (getting an Ant+ HRM and paired it) other than the Golf Upgrade that I've done to my MOTOACTV 8GB.
Wondering if anyone has had similar problem.My battery for x10 has now started to last only 4hours - even during the night when its not in use.I already have brightness down as low as possible and have followed all the other guidelines to utilise battery life. The strange thing is that I have not changed anything on the phone recently and the battery just started dying!!!!! Extremely frustrated as I also seem to be receiving texts a lot later than they were sent even though I have full network coverage. I have had the phone since October 2010.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for a few months and it was working great until a couple of weeks ago when a sync symbol started to appear (i didnt dowload any new apps or do anything new, it just started) in the top bar on the right hand side. (not the left like the twitter or fb sync symbols) Now if the data traffic is on it will sync constantly and cause excess dowload and battery drain. When i turn the data traffic off after using the internet it continues to attempt to sync and drains the battery unless i don't use the internet for a couple of days. I want to be able to leave my internet on like i did for the last few months without worrying about the download problem. I called SE and they told me i might have to reset my phone. I have SOOO much stuff that i don't want to loose. Anyone know what this thing is trying to sync and how to stop it? The SE guy already told me to turn all the sync and background apps off but it didnt change anything.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy stock Xperia Neo, running gingerbread (Received all updates from sony) has following issues. The battery runs out of juice rapidly (3 - 4 hours). Even when I turn the phone OFF (not idle) it drains completely to a point where it does not want to power on anymore. Also the battery wont always charge, and when it charges the phone (not the battery) gets really hot (the part where cpu is located).
I thought the battery had given up after 1 year; So I ordered a brand new battery. When I received this new battery, the phone restarted. But this new battery faced all the same problems. Phone running hot, battery draining really quick (withing 3-4 hours idle, wifi and data turned off). And when the phones powers off due to the battery being completely empty, it does not restart any more and it does not charge anymore.
I have my device constantly in stamina mode BUT google play services is draining 20% battery per day and is more than my screen . My screen is hardly ever on but my device is always awake .
