View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the past few weeks, my battery started dying really quickly. Before it would last at least a couple of days even with browsing and using apps. Then it started dying after less than 10 hrs, and even dying while it was more than half full. I went to the Orange shop and they said because I'd left the battery charging overnight, it was now leaking and I needed a new one, which I promptly bought. However, I still have the same problem. I need to charge my phone everyday, and even though I turn it off at night, it still lasts some 10 hrs. I've done the software upgrade and it made no difference at all. I've heard of apps running in the background and draining the battery, but I always had apps and never had this problem before and I can't believe that you can't have apps or else your battery won't last more than half a day!

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4 has recently started heating up and draining the battery very quickly, I updated to 5.1.1 when it became available but I can't say that is the definite cause for this problem as it started occurring about 1 week after updating.
I have searched the web/these boards and tried countless things but nothing seems to be working. Basically if I do anything on the phone it will immediately start to heat up and drain the battery. I have recently had the screen replaced, not by apple themselves but by a certified specialist that uses apple equipment, could this be part to blame?
I have tried a 2/3 full restores, resetting network, resetting settings. I did notice that when iCloud was disabled it didn't seem to drain the battery as quick but personally I don't want to settle for having to run my phone with half the functions turned off!
One last thing I am going to try is something I read on cnet which was to do a backup onto my computer (I have been doing all the resets via wireless/cloud at the moment) and then reset the setting, run the battery right down and then full restore the battery to 100%.

All of a sudden yesterday it started getting hot and battery was draining in about 4 to 5 hours. I did a reboot this afternoon and phone is now running cooler but battery is still draining quickly. In the last hour it has drained about 20% and i have not been on the phone. I have turned off all apps.

(deleted 2, mobile banking, social feeds) Also, the little timer icon randomly pops up while the device is on and I am doing nothing. My battery has also be draining it big time. After less than 6 hours off the charger and light usage I am down to 10% battery life.I have done several battery pulls. After reboot, my Application storage shows 312.1 mb free space. My media card has 3GB free, which should not matter.The only downloaded apps I have are basic:

Battery is now down to 9% as I type this. What is going on? This should not be happening. I have never had a problem from my 9700 or 8310 previously.
I recently have been having some weird problems with my HTC One M7. My battery has been draining a heck of a lot faster than it used to. It has also been lagging quite a bit. Sometimes extremely.
For example. One day it drained 40% in one hour. As I am typing this, it has drained 6% in like 3 mins. That's insane.
For an example of lag, it has been registering short presses as long ones, or taking a long time to pop up the lock screen, or open the app drawer. Some times a few seconds.
I recently installed the newest sense update, and installed tasker from aptoide, but then deleted it.
When I tried to factory reset it, it does nothing. Same for removing device admins. ( I was trying to uninstall ac display).
According to meterberry the discharge rate is 7.5 percent .. I never got this much .. I also noticed my battery life decreasing .So far I took it off the charger 2 hrs and a half ago .. three calls totalling 5 min and lots of twitter ..

My battery was at 100% when I've taken it off the charger and drained much quicker than it has before, when I've just worn it as a watch/pedometer without workouts/music/heartrate off.
Now I noticed my calorie count is : 3525 and my step count is only at 1807, and no I'm not looking at it backwards.
On my sensor menu, it says my HRM is paired but not connected. THis is the only thing different (getting an Ant+ HRM and paired it) other than the Golf Upgrade that I've done to my MOTOACTV 8GB.
My bold 9700 battery runs out in 12 hours or so. The signal in the area (Orange Switzerland) is weak and there is no difference if the phone is on 2G or on 2G & 3G mode. Used phone in roaming without data and battery was good for week or even more with not many phone calls. Is this normal and any advice on how to preserve the battery? I also have problems with Facebook installation. When I try to sign in, I am getting a message that data conenction is not available and that i should try later. I tried many many times and while everything else works well, Facebook does not. Downloaded it twice directly from Balckberry and reinstalled it but without luck.

I have taken a new Bold 9790, one week back, its touch and type, this is my First Blackberry Device. the mail problem i am facing is that the battery is draining out very fast. in just 5 hours of usage it comes down to 50%, and its only calls and messages on mail, texts. if i use the social networking services and music, it will come down more fast.i had taken the phone to the technician at distributor, he did some settings and deleted some files, still it does not solve the problem.

I bought a new battery since the old one was getting old, so I figured that was the reason it was draining over the course of the day (7am - about 10pm) , but it happened again on day 2 after a full charge (uninterrupted for about 8 hours) and it didn't even make it 11 hours.The phone is on all the time. I get updates from Facebook and email. 1-3 calls a day. I mainly text, but not more than about 30/day. I browse for about 30 min a day. I put it on the cradle to recharge overnight.

My phone over heats and drains the battery in less than 3 hours when i'm in a wi-fi hotspot. Even if the wi-fi is turned off. This is also happening even when the phone is turned off - the phone still gets very hot! The battery has to be removed before the phone will cool down.The phone works fine any other time and usually only needs to be charged every few days, but as soon as i'm in a 'hotspot' zone I've had to charge the phone 2 to 3 times a day!

The problem is that: While charging ONLY the Battery gets too much HOT and it never shows Battery is Full (Charged it for Max 1 Hour 45 Minutes) This problem suddenly appeared, so I formatted the Memory Card as well as Hard Format/Reset the Phone, but still the Battery is heating too much
After disconnecting the Phone from Charger, the Battery is FULL and I can use it without any problem and as usual. The Talktime right now is around 2.5 Hours and Standby time is around 2-3 Days
