My iPhone 4S works perfectly except for this issue, which oddly started out of the blue yesterday: During calls, when I am using speakerphone feature, I can hear the other caller fine, but they can barely hear me. They say I sound muffled and crackly. This happens both when receiving and making calls. I am not using any kind of headphone system (bluetooth or wired).

When I try to talk on speakerphone, people tell me they can barely hear me. Sometimes my voice is clear, other times it sounds like I am muffled or far away. A phone case is not in the way, nor is the microphone clogged. The phone has done this since I bought it 5 months ago.
I am able to use the voice recorder and can be heard fine.Samsung told me to do a complete reinstall of the phone. I do not want to back everything up and risk losing data as I have syncing issues with my mac.
is anyone having a problem with their speakphone? When I put the phone on speaker or try to play music nothing comes out. But the handset still works fine.

The speakerphone isn't working for my phone, which also includes the ringer and anything not including the earphone speaker. I dropped my phone and it cracker and only the speakerphone was working. I opened it up and a few things became disconnected including the ear speaker and camera so I reconnected them and they worked but then speaker stopped working after I had taken it apart. Did I somehow manage to disconnect that or ruin the connection? Any tips would be appreciated I think that the speaker is located on the plastic housing that the keypad is attacked to but im not sure.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe respond with text feature is not working on my iPhone 6 Plus. I got the phone yesterday and restored it from the iCloud backup from my iPhone 5. The setting is enabled in the passcode section of the settings, and all of my previous custom messages are still showing in the list. It will not give me the option to respond to a phone call with a text message whether or not the phone is locked, unlocked, engaged in a current phone call, or not engaged in a call. Â

Today I discovered my speakerphone was not working. On phone calls, the speakerphone light comes on but the audio only comes from the earpiece. Every few calls, the speakerphone starts working midway through the call. On Skype video calls, the same thing. The audio comes only from the earpiece. I have removed and reinstalled Skype. No change. The ringer works as do all the notifications so the speaker is working. I have tried disabling bluethooth to make sure it was not interfering. No change.

I have checked the settings through my Windows Live account that my Facebook account is sync'd/allowed to send messages via chat to my phone.I have checked my FB chat settings to see No settings have been changed disallowing FB chat through my phone. In fact this explains perfectly my problem, as one day FB chat worked perfectly, the next few days it worked intermittently, and then from then on it has stopped working completely. I have the same settings on my Nexus 5, but it only seems to work when I open the Dropbox app. It does not happen automatically after I take a picture. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it still seems to have the same issue.
I previously had a BB Curve. I store a lot of information in the notes portion of my contacts. With the Curve I could search for items stored in notes and it would display any contact that contained the search criteria. I currently have a BB Bold 9930. When I do the same type of search it doesn't retrieve the contact. I spent a lot of time and energy to store needed information for quick reference and now it is useless.
