Jan 1, 2010is anyone having a problem with their speakphone? When I put the phone on speaker or try to play music nothing comes out. But the handset still works fine.

a) I cant find the option to show my diary entries on the home screen.
b) Is there a short cut for loudspeaker for calls?

May 3, 2015When I try to talk on speakerphone, people tell me they can barely hear me. Sometimes my voice is clear, other times it sounds like I am muffled or far away. A phone case is not in the way, nor is the microphone clogged. The phone has done this since I bought it 5 months ago.
I am able to use the voice recorder and can be heard fine.Samsung told me to do a complete reinstall of the phone. I do not want to back everything up and risk losing data as I have syncing issues with my mac.

Jun 27, 2012My iPhone 4S works perfectly except for this issue, which oddly started out of the blue yesterday: During calls, when I am using speakerphone feature, I can hear the other caller fine, but they can barely hear me. They say I sound muffled and crackly. This happens both when receiving and making calls. I am not using any kind of headphone system (bluetooth or wired).

Jun 1, 2010The speakerphone isn't working for my phone, which also includes the ringer and anything not including the earphone speaker. I dropped my phone and it cracker and only the speakerphone was working. I opened it up and a few things became disconnected including the ear speaker and camera so I reconnected them and they worked but then speaker stopped working after I had taken it apart. Did I somehow manage to disconnect that or ruin the connection? Any tips would be appreciated I think that the speaker is located on the plastic housing that the keypad is attacked to but im not sure.

Sep 25, 2015This happens with my Nexus 6 too. When I say "Ok Google, call [contact name] on speaker phone", I still have to manually push the speakerphone icon. The voice prompt says "calling xxx on speakerphone", but it doesn't activate the speakerphone.

Nov 26, 2012Today I discovered my speakerphone was not working. On phone calls, the speakerphone light comes on but the audio only comes from the earpiece. Every few calls, the speakerphone starts working midway through the call. On Skype video calls, the same thing. The audio comes only from the earpiece. I have removed and reinstalled Skype. No change. The ringer works as do all the notifications so the speaker is working. I have tried disabling bluethooth to make sure it was not interfering. No change.

Mar 30, 2010Is there any way I can kick my phone straight to speaker when I answer it ? Maybe an app or something ? I know you can buy bluetooth speakerphones and stuff, but I'm cheap :P
Basically, I don't get a whole lot of calls anyway, just my fiancée and whoever I'm on the way to see at the time, and even less when I'm driving. So I figure there's no real point in spending out on a visor mount or headset (i hate those ****ing things anyway... either have to wear them the whole time or even harder to scramble for when you have a call) if theres a free alternative.

May 11, 2010I've had the BB 9700 for all of 2 weeks, but I've only been using it for about 4 days, because I didn't have time to transfer over my data from my old Curve 8320.One of the only reasons I stayed w/ a Blackberry vs another type of phone was UMA on T-Mobile. I need UMA in my office or I don't get reception. I had limited problems with the UMA on my 8320 but mostly it would work.
I could not get UMA to work *at all* yesterday. And today the wifi connection itself was being flaky. I couldn't get it to connect properly. I made sure it was on wifi perferred (it's been that way all along). I fooled w/ the settings for the actual wifi connection. I turned on and then off again the "allow inter-access point handover". Our SSID is not broadcast so I don't think that box should be checked.
I did a battery pull and restarted the phone and the wifi *and* UMA came on for the first time. This was short-lived though because as soon as it switched over to the mobile network, I couldn't get it to connect to the wifi network at all (even if I turned off mobile), and the UMA of course disappeared again.Any additional suggestions would be most appreciated. Yesterday the wifi wasn't acting funny (I don't think anyway) but I still couldn't connect over UMA.I'm open to other firmware versions (mine is stock .330) if it fixes the UMA issue.
BB Bold 9700 :: V Key Not Working
Apr 4, 2010My V key needs a serious press to register. Wondering if there are any better solutions than getting it replaced since the trip to the Telus store is an hour and a half each way and they'll only fix it and not replace it. Takes an average of 3 weeks and by then I'm back in Toronto. So I'm waiting at least til mid-may/june for a working keyboard. Can I open up the phone and clean under the keyboard or something without screwing up my warranty?

Nov 9, 2011Well I have Three UK Carrier and my internet data is 150mb, but for some reason is that I go on to BBM and I go to invite a friend by scanning there barcode; it doesn't work it just says pending. I have tried Registering in host tables thing, then pulling out battery and it didn't work. Also on my friends curve, instead of 3G he has GPRS. Just too add, how do I change and check my BIS because its on Wifi and I think it should be on 3G im not sure.

May 13, 2010I have a 2 unlocked T Mobile BB 9700's.My provider is WIND mobile in Canada.I baught the phones used from ebay. One of the phones is working fine.The other phone is not connecting to the 3G network. It is not even showing the 3G network when I manually search networks. I want it to connect to the 3G network because WIND only uses 3G.Both are running the same( latest )OS version. I have switched sim cards(to no avail) and I have tried to restore it to factory settings using the wipe feature in the security settings(nothing)
Both phones are next to each other. One is showing 3G the other is showing 2G (same carrier).what gives??
BB Bold 9700 :: Trackball Not Working
Jun 30, 2010I've had the 9700 for several months without issue, when randomely, this morning the phone started typing by itself -'L' and 'H' like this...lhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhl- until a message pops up that says "field full". The phone won't respond to the back button and I can't turn it off using the power button - I have to manually pull the battery out to turn it off. When I put the battery back in, it goes to the home screen, but the trackball only works intermittently, and I can't open any of my mailboxes or make calls. Then, about 20 seconds after I put the battery back in, the lhlhlhlhhlhl thing starts again...I have no idea what is going on, but I use this phone for work, so I really need to figure it out...

After a while in that conversation it will start to not work, it will move around bits of text from conversation, it wont let me scroll through messages, then is slow to send, if I leave conversation it wont let me get back into it. May 30, 2010my blackberry has worked fine in the couple of months i have had it, however a few weeks ago the browser and bbm completely stopped working. i took the battery and sim out and then when i put them back in it worked fine again.a few days ago the same thing happened, i tried taking the sim out again and it didnt work, have done it a few times. i rang o2 and they suggested putting it on to manual network and try connecting again, have also done this a few times and it still hasnt worked. i have the right plan and pay to get unlimited browsing, it usually is fine but stopped working randomly.

Oct 30, 2011This is my first post. I write to you after several weeks of frustration with my phone as well as a million calls with Rogers customer support.
My problem :
1)I cannot browse the internet using the internet browser both on wifi or Roger's data network
2)Facebook app cannot establish a connection to the server
3)When I use the Browser app it will work for like 10 minutes but then all of sudden the internet just stops working.
I believe all of the three observations listed above have the same root cause. What is odd is that BBM works, my email works, BB app world works, I can even browse with the web2go browser - just not the three items I have described above.I really don't want to restore my phone because i have paid apps and i don't want to pay for my apps again.
My failed troubleshooting attempts so far :
1) Removed battery and sim card + reboot. Done it 1,000,000 times - no success
2) Resend service books - no success
I am at ends with the situation.
BB Bold :: 9700 Tracker Pad Not Working?
Aug 10, 2012The tracker pad on my Bold 9700 has stopped working and, despite taking out the battery and rebooting the phone, I can't think what else to do. I have managed to find a way to see SOME of my e-mails and the occasional text by using the search function but my phone was set to silent when it stopped working so I can't even hear it when someone phones me now.

Mar 23, 2012My browser stopped working about a week ago - can still email, bbm, facebook, twitter, weather network etc. Just can't look at any pages in browser. It says 'Requesting' along bottom and watch bar slowly move across, then it eventually says:'Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your administrator'I've gone into a Bell store and after taking the battery out and back in(which I told him I'd already tried to no avail), he suggested its because my system is on v.5 and that I should go home plug it in and update it. Went home, plugged it in and 'no updates available'.Have now resorted to support forum solutions as its a business phone and can't let it get sent away even though I pay extra every month for the service plan. Have tried the Service Books recommendation and no change.
