Xperia X10 :: Update To Android 2.1 Leaves At 1.6 With No Error Messages?
Nov 6, 2010I followed all the instructions on updating to Android 2.1 and I did not have any error messages in the process. When I boot my X10, I am still at Android 1.6. Worse yet, the backup/restore application does not restore everything. I have to reconfigure my main screens and the worse of it is my Touchdown client needs to be reconfigured for exchange sync and I have to reconfigure it and re-download everything again. How can I diagnose why my android doesn't update? I am using Windows 7 x64.The process looked like it was working, but I see the following in the driverinstaller_install_usbflashdriver.log file:

However, I have 6.68GB free on the SD card and 33.21Mb free on the phone. Nevertheless I've deleted many messages, especially those with attachments, turn the phone off and on again, but I still get the alert. May 26, 2011I have a desire hd which will tell me 10-15 times a day that I have no reception. To fix this I turn it onto airplane mode then back to normal. When I do this usually 10 out of the 15 times it tells me that I have no sim card installed and then I have to take out the sim and put it back in. This is a big drainer. It also switches itself off sometimes during phone calls or will drop reception in the middle of the call. I have been advised that I might need to reinstall the phone software and am wondering if anyone knows how I can go about doing this. The new update is not yet available for me and I can't use the phone the way that it is.

When attempting to do this the phone displays 'installation unsucessful'. Dec 25, 2010I have a Desire HD on Vodafone in the U.K and I have done every system update so far without a hitch but the latest one released today seems to have given me some problems.
I left the phone alone and it carried on and did everything just as usual but after it had completed the screen now appears to be unresponsive.
I cannot swipe the bar down at the bottom and hence my phone is locked all the time. The only way to restart is to pull the battery out but even after doing that several times and also removing the sim card and mem card I still have the same problem each and everytime
