A few days ago a system update became available for my Desire C but it doesn't seem able to download properly. I just get an error message saying there is a problem with my wifi/internet connection. Does anyone know what the problem might be, and how I can fix it?
View 1 RepliesI have a Desire HD on Vodafone in the U.K and I have done every system update so far without a hitch but the latest one released today seems to have given me some problems.
I left the phone alone and it carried on and did everything just as usual but after it had completed the screen now appears to be unresponsive.
I cannot swipe the bar down at the bottom and hence my phone is locked all the time. The only way to restart is to pull the battery out but even after doing that several times and also removing the sim card and mem card I still have the same problem each and everytime
I have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191) I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem. If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
i have encountered a problem on my Xperia x10. when i use the cellular data to download stuff from the market , it always says download paused. But when i use wifi im able to download.

Anyone any ideas on how I can improve the download speed on the Desire, or is this the speed which it is supposed to operate at?

When I press the download or try and change my payment options I have to verify my blackberry acount , this then goes to the "Blackberry App World Membership Addendum (uk)" screen which have to scroll down to clock the "I Accept" button - this takes me right back to the start of the procedure. I have tried downloading the App world on my PC to alter it, and I have tried resesting the App Cashe. nothing works?

This happen vice versa - when I open the emails on my notebook, it would not show on my HTC. How can I reverse this? Doesn't seem to affect or pause anything so it's just kind of annoying... how to fix? The icon is a shoe with a circle under the heel. a) She don't have wireless internet and my Mom is confined to home - so going to a wireless hot spot isn't feasible.
b) I tried using the Sync option of connecting to the internet through her home PC
but it doesn't seem to actually use the home internet - still seems to be using her phone's allowance.
My defy showing Download Paused on Notification bar if i click that its going to market and not showing any downloads.. And further i cant able to download in market. If i click download on any application the downloads increasing but showing paused.. And i am about stop it but default its showing download paused 13 and not able to start any download .

I'm not saying this to impress anybody, trust me - I'm no pro. But I write this in the hopes that someone from Motorola actually reads this and thinks, "this guy represents our target audience. Maybe we should hear him out..." After all, there are plenty of people who train like me. If you're one of them, or if you're a MOTOACTV user who just sees the value in being able to see your data when paused, please add your vote.
The fact that the screen freezes when a workout is paused is the single reason I reach for my Garmin when I'm going out for a serious run. The ability to hit pause, assess how the workout is going, and make adjustments midway is critical. When I stop to take a drink of water, the first thing I do is hit the pause button. The second thing I do is see how I'm doing. Am I going too fast, too slow? Is my heartrate where it should be? What can I do to get back on track? My Garmin gives me all the information necessary to answer these questions. The MOTOACTV gives me nothing other than a song to listen to when I'm fuming over the ridiculousness of this "feature", or rather, the lackthereof.

It's to assess the situation and make adjustments before it's too late. Imagine if, during every time-out or other break in the action, someone comes and tapes the coach's mouth shut and ties his hands behind his back. "How am I doing, coach?" Shrug. I have just purchased a second hand HTC Desire HD, it is on 2.3.3 software which although fairly stable, is pants in quite a few ways, such as not being able to take screenshots!!
I cannot find a way to update it atall, phone is not rooted as I ave no idea how to do this and worried that following guides online will brick the phone.
how to update to 2.3.5 or even 4.0.3 (but would prefer 2.3.5) I was running 4.0.3 on my HTC Sensation and it was very buggy.
I recently updated to Android 2.3 it went smooth but since then I haven't been able to use my 3G or GPS. Even though they're both turned on from settings nothing happens.

Once it as announced, I was even looking forward to the 2.3.5 update, but I've not seen hide nor hair of it so far.Is there any way I can prompt the update? I'm assuming it's an OTA update but I've not seen anything so far. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having massive problems using my desire with apps from the market.The problem is not downloading apps it is that the phone will not install them after the download. When attempting to do this the phone displays 'installation unsucessful'. I also get this message when trying to update some of my apps.Occasionally i will get an app to install but it rarely.I have tried clearing cache and data from the market app and also changed my googlemail address and also changed my googlemail password etc.This is a massive let down as apps is obviously one of the main reasons that i purchased an android phone.

Same games, same SlideIt, same phone, performance fine on Android 3, but I'm thinking of downgrading unless there is a fix for this. Games often pause themselves when the going gets tough, and sometimes bomb out to the home page.
