My defy showing Download Paused on Notification bar if i click that its going to market and not showing any downloads.. And further i cant able to download in market. If i click download on any application the downloads increasing but showing paused.. And i am about stop it but default its showing download paused 13 and not able to start any download .

I selected and downloaded a notification sound from them, (I've used this app a ton!) and set it on my phone. It worked but I got sick of it and tried to change it. It still played the original tone. So I deleted it from my phone, selected a diff tone, and now it won't play any notification sound at all when I get a text. I figured it out. I went into my text messages. Then hit the menu button, and settings... from there I chose a notification tone and then it worked.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded my defy yesterday morning and then it hang 3-4 times. So I did factory reset yesterday night. But now also problem remains it hangs some time, the new upgrade has Task Manager, but it keeps showing CPU: 100% alert. I wonder if only my maps and browser is open, why does it show the sign? Now also while I am typing this from mobile, it is giving same alert with only browser running. Isn't it made for multi-tasking? And also (problem not of topic) my market's page doesn't upgrade itself. It keeps running on old format.
View 8 Replies View RelatedName the distance and type of race, I've likely done it several times over. I've trained with heart rate monitors, GPS devices, and Power Meters (for cycling). I push myself hard during workouts. I'm not saying this to impress anybody, trust me - I'm no pro. But I write this in the hopes that someone from Motorola actually reads this and thinks, "this guy represents our target audience. Maybe we should hear him out..." After all, there are plenty of people who train like me. If you're one of them, or if you're a MOTOACTV user who just sees the value in being able to see your data when paused, please add your vote.
The fact that the screen freezes when a workout is paused is the single reason I reach for my Garmin when I'm going out for a serious run. The ability to hit pause, assess how the workout is going, and make adjustments midway is critical. When I stop to take a drink of water, the first thing I do is hit the pause button. The second thing I do is see how I'm doing. Am I going too fast, too slow? Is my heartrate where it should be? What can I do to get back on track? My Garmin gives me all the information necessary to answer these questions. The MOTOACTV gives me nothing other than a song to listen to when I'm fuming over the ridiculousness of this "feature", or rather, the lackthereof.
There is a reason even professional athletes gather around their coach during every time-out, between quarters and during half-time. It's to assess the situation and make adjustments before it's too late. Imagine if, during every time-out or other break in the action, someone comes and tapes the coach's mouth shut and ties his hands behind his back. "How am I doing, coach?" Shrug. "Any advice for me coach?" Shrug. The game resumes, and the coach is allowed to speak again. Yup, there's your MOTOACTV. It's your coach, and he's no where to be found when you need him most.
I once upon a time had a green indicator that lit up when I got messages. Now for some reason I am not getting this indicator. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I should look to activate this again?

The phone (in settings) and widgets say 70% but the icon is in no way close to 3/4 full. It looks more like 90%. It always looks fuller then the battery truly is. I do understand that 70% can be anywhere between 70-79 but that's not close to what it shows on top. It's like Apple and the signal bars and how they showed higher then reality.

I swear on my 2.1 Spice XT300, the auto-retrieval was by email address (and also the smallest interval between fetches was 5 minutes, not 15 like on the Defy). I have never used 2.1 on the Defy; mine was original 2.2.1.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my defy now for a few months, and I have been pretty happy with it (babyproof smartphone!)Unfortunately, its becoming more and more unreliable, and am having to reboot it regularly.This weekend is the worst. Here are some of the things it is doing:
all apps keep freezing and crashing (no fancy apps, mostly use it for twitter, facebook etc).phone keeps freezing and being unresponsible on the home screen keep getting an 'emergency calls only' notification, which then clears straight away when i go into notifications.mms photos - both sent and received take up to 5 days to be visible. until then they are just flagged as 'downloading'. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take 5 days to download a 27kb file.After rebooting, I did have a gmail widget require a forced close immediately. I was never using that widget anyway, and couldn't see it, so I uninstalled it. Now on rebooting I have to force close Google Services Framework. I have decided that looks reasonably important and useful and have declined to uninstall that so far.
I have a my Defy & XT and as of 9:22 am the weather widget hasn't udated and I've turned the phone off and on etc and then I deleted my location and tried to readd it and it said something like.. location information cannot be found (not sure off hand).. I don't know what to do but it won't let me add any loactions but apps from the market work.
