my motorola defy was working great and now it will not show any events and appears to have deleted all appointments. I have tried re-entering it my google calender, but it still not show up.
View 11 RepliesI see with the ICS update, Motorola has added (back) events to contacts, like birthdays, anniversaries, etc. However, I can't seem to get these to display in my calendar.
Under Calendar... Menu... Calendars to Display, I managed to figure out how to add "Contact's birthdays and events", and it is checked, but they still don't actually display in my calendar.
BTW, I assume that a birthday of like 9/15/1990 will show up in the calendar on 9/15/2012. I am using the stock ICS contacts and calendar (no extra apps). Has anyone gotten this new ICS feature to work?
I sync to my gmail calendar only and on my samsung galaxy note 2 could see appointments as far as several years away but on the htc one in mutliple calendar apps it only shows the forthcoming year.. am I missing a setting somewhere?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSyncing my iPhone to MS Exchange. I see in Outlook 2010 calendars, all the recurring events I have. In particular, I see some birthdays in the current week, but on my iPhone 4s, running IOS 5.1, I only see a couple. More explicitly, there are 2 birthdays on the day that I am writing this question, only one shows on the iPhone. Also, one for tomorrow does not show, nor does an anniversary 2 days after that. There is no obvious reason for some to show and others to not show. Additionally, birthdays do not show up in 'Day' view, only in 'List' and 'Month' view.
I have tried deleting my Exchange account and re-adding it. I have changed all birthdays from 'Private' to 'Normal' confidentiality. I have tried editing events which don't show on the iPhone, in an attempt to make them appear. I can see appointments I create on the iPhone, in Outlook within seconds. I delete a test appointment in Outlook and it will disappear on the iPhone. I found that 'recurring events which are all Day Events' do not show on the iPhone. However, I can search for the event and find it, even though it does not display!

I've upgraded to the latest N900 firmware (pr1.2) and ever since I have had a problem with the calendar widget. All the events are contained in the calendar when I open it however they are not displayed on the desktop widget. I've got events loaded for the month of June but for some reason these are not showing. Instead I have events showing for July, September and even December. I've tried removing all the entries and the re-adding them but this hasn't solved the problem. I also created another calendar and placed the entries in the new one, again this didn't work. Does anybody have any idea how I can resolve this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched from the default Samsung calendar app to the Google Calendar app. Events from my primary Google calendar, "Personal", appear on the Google Calendar app on my S5, but the calendar itself doesn't appear as an option when creating new events or in the Settings page. As a result, I can see all of my events that I enter via my PC browser (correctly under the label "Personal"), but I cannot add new events from my phone to that specific calendar. My other, less frequently used Gmail calendars (Birthdays, work, a few shared calendars) appear.

I have a Corporate Sync account setup with an Exchange 2010 server, and have Calendar kept insync at all times (Push update). When I create an event on my calendar through Outlook and set it as 'All day', the calendar on the phone always reports it as one day out (e.g. Sept 21 would show on the phone as Sept 20).At first I thought this may be to do with time zones, or day light savings. However for all events that are not designated 'All Day' this problem does not occur, rulling out that idea. Also the time zone for the server and the phone match.I do not have this problem on any other motorola phone (defy, fire) or other non motorola smartphones
View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay, so I've been having issues with this for months. It's starting to become aggravating. I'm using an unaltered (not cracked, no custom ROMs, etc) Droid X2.Android: 2.3.4System version: 1.3.380.MB870.Verizon.en.USKernel version: 2.6.32.9-00005Build: 4.5.1A-DTN-150-30nyways, the built in calendar is constantly deleting appointments. It will literally delete them 2 seconds after I save them. It's to the point where I have to fill in the details of an Appointment a minimum of two times every single time. Recurring appointments don't delete themselves. But appointments that only occur once disappear instantly.
Yesterday for example I had to input an appiontment 4 times before it finally stuck. After saving it I then re-opened it, hit Edit, and made sure all the details were still there. I then re-saved it and closed the calendar. Opening the calendar again (right away) it was already GONE! The 4th time it finally stuck. This was yesterday. Today, looking at my phone right now the appointment in question is missing AGAIN.'m also noticing that whenever I open the calendar it always shows me a date from like 2 months ago. So it will not open to the current month/week/day. This has always been the case.
I've even tried downloading different calendars and they won't work either. The widget works, but once I try to "get into" the application to add events, it doesn't work. The screen turns black and then goes back into the home screen.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am using Gmail Calendar. I have subscribed to the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar using the Gmail web interface. The Android Calendar App lists this calendar as synchronized and visible. Unfortunately, the anniversary, birthday, and other events from the calendar do not display. I purchased the CalenGoo App to troubleshoot this issue. CalenGoo also fails to display the the "Contacts' birthdays and events" content via the Android account. However, if I manually add my same Gmail account to CalenGoo and allow it to sync independently, then the events appear as expected. This indicates that Android is not actually synchronizing the events from this calendar, although the UI reports that it is.
I have tried deleting the Calendar Data from the phone, removing and re-adding the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar in Gmail, and re-syncing on Android various times. These actions had no effect.Is anyone with a Motorola Atrix HD seeing this behavior, or getting the contact birthdays and anniversaries to display?
I have an Exchange account set up on my Atrix and for some reason not all of the events in my Exchange calendar get synced to the phone. I see some of them but not others which is frustrating as I can't view all of my appointments on the phone.
I have the same account setup on another Android phone which uses Cyanogenmod 7 which has the stock calendar and can I view all the events there so it is definitely an issue related to MotoBlur and the Atrix calendar. I've tried removing the Exchange account and readding it and resyncing but it didn't make any difference.
Am having trouble trying to sync all the previous calendar events from my corporate account to my phone. I am only able to see past 2 weeks events.

For some reason, I'm currently unable to sync my facebook events to my phone calendar. In the Settings>Accounts, my facebook account is listed. When i tap on my account and enter my username/password, I'm brought back to the list of accounts, and I can't sync either my contacts or my calendar with my phone.
I used to be able to do this on my Galaxy S and could do it for a minute on the Razr. Does anyone know what happened, and if I can re-establish the sync? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling facebook, but it didn't do anything.
This may or may not be a Turbo-only issue, same qualifier for Lollipop as well. But, it is noticed, so I ask.
When I put an event on the stock Google Calendar, I specifically have my settings to say NO notifications. I look at the event when created and it has NO notifications. Yet 10 minutes before the event like clockwork, boom, notification.
I'm going to go into the desktop version of Calendar and see what I can do there, but this notification stuff is annoying.
I opened the calendar shortcut from the circle time widget on the home screen of the droid turbo. While the calendar was opened, I hit the refresh button and now all of my events have disappeared! Everything-past,present,future gone. "Refresh" doesn't mean "delete" so I'm not sure what happened here but I had TONS of info in that calendar. How to recover the events?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a DroidX version 2.2.1 and I use Corporate email. When I type in a new Calendar event into the phone it sync's to Google fine but it does not sync to my Corp Calendar. The same happens for Contacts. Here's what I've found:
1) Phone to Google works
2) Phone to Corp does not work
3) Corp to Phone works
4) Corp to Google does not work
When I first setup the phone, I setup Corp email and Gmail and the sync worked well. Some time later I removed my Corp email account from the phone only to re-add it a couple weeks later. Since then, the sync does not work the way it once did. I have set the phone so that my Corp account is the default account. I receive email on the phone with no issues. I want my Corp Calendar/Contacts to match my phone no matter whether I enter them from the phone, Google or my Corp Desktop.
My running application will only be 1 or 2, is this supposed to happen, some time this becomes too slow.

Emails synchronize perfectly and calendar events entered on my Microsoft exchange account synchronize with my Galaxy S5. The problem is, calendar events entered on my Galaxy S5 do not synchronize to my Microsoft Exchange calendar.

The phone says "can't use the calendar until you sync it..." Can't sync it, so therefore calendar is useless. My BB calendar was my lifeline to my appointments. I need to get that back!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI logged into another gmail account on my phone, I did without any problem, viewed/deleted some emails, and logged off. I then re-logged into my higher usage email (the main one I use on everything and the phone is registered with). I had the "Smooth Calender" app isntalled, but uninstalled that because the update happened around the email checking and it started acting goofy when I updated anyway.After I did that, I went to check my calender on my phone to schedule appointments and noticed that my calender is almost completely empty. I checked my calender online under the account email that I currently have it synced to and it is full like I have it. Now the situation is when I enter a calender event online it WILL NOT sync to my phone, nor has any of the repeat events synced.
When I enter an event in my phone, it syncs to the online calender AND to the phone with reminders and such if I set it up that way.I cleared the gmail cache on the phone (but did NOT clear data, didn't know if that is advisable), I checked to make sure the correct calenders are checked to sync. I also went to Settings > Account > 'Account in question' and made sure it was selected.I DO NOT see an auto sync feature anywhere on the phone, and I can't remember having checked it before and didn't have a problem with anything until I did the logging into and back out of my emails.What can I do, or need to do, to fix this? My calender is very important to me as I always have my phone on me and don't always have a paper calender on me.
Its an iphone 4s and a mac book with snow lepard.I am putting all the events on my calandar through my iphone but they don't appear in ical when I sync via itunes.

I have upgraded my defy yesterday morning and then it hang 3-4 times. So I did factory reset yesterday night. But now also problem remains it hangs some time, the new upgrade has Task Manager, but it keeps showing CPU: 100% alert. I wonder if only my maps and browser is open, why does it show the sign? Now also while I am typing this from mobile, it is giving same alert with only browser running. Isn't it made for multi-tasking? And also (problem not of topic) my market's page doesn't upgrade itself. It keeps running on old format.
