HTC Desire S :: Severe Lag After Official ICS Update?
Oct 5, 2012I recently did the ICS RUU update from the HTC Dev site, all good generally but phone now suffers from severe lag at times, mostly during intensive 3D games but often during typing (I use SlideIt). Same games, same SlideIt, same phone, performance fine on Android 3, but I'm thinking of downgrading unless there is a fix for this. Games often pause themselves when the going gets tough, and sometimes bomb out to the home page.

Feb 26, 2012No offence but the official OS update doesn't work.
Mines been hanging for at least 30 minutes and if the only way to help is to get suggestions from non-blackberry employees while the support services hide away then the phone may as well go back and I'll, get an iPhone.
It shouldn't be up to the people on this forum to be left to do things themselves. Blackberry needs to get involved with all the problems and questions their updates are causing.
Galaxy S6 :: Stuck In Boot After OTA Official Update
Oct 14, 2015I just bought a S6 to use Samsung Pay.
Received it today, fist thing I had to do was update it from 5.0.2. So I used the OTA update from t-mobile option (as it offered it as soon as I turned the phone on and connected to Wifi).
I click the "Restart and apply update" when it had finished downloading, set the phone down, browse the internet for a little and notice it was hanging on the Samsung logo.
I try to turn it off and on, nothing works. I try entering recovery mode, won't let me.So I then download and try manually flashing 5.1.1 through ODIN.
Everything says "PASS" in ODIN, it reboots and gets to the Samsung logo, shows the android robot, says "installing updates" but when the bar reaches about 45% it switches to "erasing" then goes back to getting stuck on the Samsung Logo.
What can I do ? I really don't want to trip knox as Pay is the sole reason I bought this stupid phone, all other Stock ROMS now fail odin and G920TUVU3DOI1_G920TTMB3DOI1_G920TUVU3DOI1_HOME.tar is just doing the Install then erase thing.
Motorola Photon 4G :: Not Taking The Official Update?
Aug 26, 2011I've tried installing the official Motorola update 4 times and every time it is unsuccessful. The update says it is available for download, then downloads and asks to be installed. I choose to install it and the phone reboots. It then goes to the progress screen, gets to about 40%, and then shows the triangle with exclamation mark inside of it. Then the phone reboots and pops up a message saying update failed.
I have done 2 full factory updates (erased all memory), called Sprint, talked to a Motorola level 2 tech, and gotten nothing. No one has even tried to troubleshoot this issue or recommend anything.
Motorola Electrify :: Its Not Taking The Official Update?
Dec 9, 2011I have the Motorola Electrify and about 1.5 weeks ago, I noticed the the orange triangle with exclamation and when I pulled down the notification, the only thing that it stated was "download will start in Wi-Fi. When I would access "settings / system updates" it stated an update was currently being downloaded". Like I said, 1.5 weeks and nothing changed. I had also been experiencing some slow down in the speed, and after reading the many posts on the updates and also slow downs, it was suggested that a system refresh might do the trick. Once refreshed, it was suggested to then access system updates and try to download the update again.
The refresh took care of the update being froze up, and I went back in and tried to download the update again, but to no avail. It froze it up again.I also tried a workaround that I read about by going to settings l data deliver l social applications l sync over wifi, but it still hasn't done anything. I have Wi-Fi in my house but the strength may not be strong enough.

But the problem is when I boot into stock recovery and select apply update from SD card it says sdcard not mounted. So how to solve this.
Second thing after mounting can I apply all updates serialwise one by one and then reboot or do I have to apply an update and then boot then apply the second one and so on.

When attempting to do this the phone displays 'installation unsucessful'. Dec 25, 2010I have a Desire HD on Vodafone in the U.K and I have done every system update so far without a hitch but the latest one released today seems to have given me some problems.
I left the phone alone and it carried on and did everything just as usual but after it had completed the screen now appears to be unresponsive.
I cannot swipe the bar down at the bottom and hence my phone is locked all the time. The only way to restart is to pull the battery out but even after doing that several times and also removing the sim card and mem card I still have the same problem each and everytime

Jan 10, 2012I have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191) I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem. If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
HTC Desire Z :: T-Mobile G2 Doesn't Charge With Car Charger After Gingerbread OTA Update
Aug 8, 2011A week ago my T-Mobile G2 received its long-awaited Gingerbread update OTA. The update installed easily and I can happily report that Wi-Fi calling and other features worked quite well.
What I only learned as a problem a few days later is that now my car charger will not charge the phone at all. The T-Mobile branded car charger had worked previously and still works with other Android 2.2 OS phone just fine. But although the phone clearly recognizes the presence of the charger [because it switches to "Car Mode" when plugged in, a nice new feature in itself], it will not charge with the car charger at all. The T-Mobile G2 does charge fine with wall charges, just not in the car.
I have called T-Mobile and they are guessing this is a bug in Gingerbread.
HTC Desire :: Video Recording - Voice Not In Sync And Sound Crap After Update
Dec 29, 2010Updated my phone to 2.29.405.5 the other day and noticed that video recording has gone from atrocious to down right intolerable. When they enabled 720p recording video became choppy but the sound was kinda alright now after the current update all my videos are coming out like one of those kung fu movies, voice and lips are not in sync and the sound is crap.
