Updated my phone to 2.29.405.5 the other day and noticed that video recording has gone from atrocious to down right intolerable. When they enabled 720p recording video became choppy but the sound was kinda alright now after the current update all my videos are coming out like one of those kung fu movies, voice and lips are not in sync and the sound is crap.

Next month I can get a new cellphone and were it not for the horrendous soundquality when recording video, I would definately take an HTC Desire (HD or not). But the sound of the HD video's is so dramatically bad I am thinking about taking a Samsung instead. Except...Is it possible to attach an external 3.5mm or USB microphone to this device to use it for videorecording? I thought I saw this with the iPhone, but Im allergic to Apple. So is it possible to record video using an external microphone?

How do I keep the notifications from sounding on my recordings? I never had this problem with other phones before. shouldn't the notifications automatically mute when recording? View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving problems with the sound quality of their video recordings?I have a lot of background noise even in the quietest of rooms.I exchanged my Galaxy S5 after a week because everyone kept saying I sounded muffled and my voicemail sounded muffled too. Verizon swapped me into a new S5 and although the sound of my voice and voicemail are better, the video recording sounds are horrible. If the subject is talking it the background noise takes away from the voice. in a quiet room, still noise even though there is no fan or a/c going and windows are closed. I have enabled the noise reduction in the call sound setting.

Even my nokia N8 can record nice stereo.
The sound on my iphone video camera is not working. I have used it before and it was OK. I shot an hour's worth of clips during which I tested and heard the sound being recorded. When I went to upload it to my computer, there was no sound. Pics are good. Looking at the original clips still on my iphone, and there's no sound. I tried to record another video clip as a test and it has no sound. Is there a setting for sound which I am missing or is there something wrong with the microphone.

I have a problem with my new SGS2 and could not find anywhere a solution for this. When I record a video there is no sound recorded also, only the image... In the camera application there is no option for enable/disable this feature like in the SGS1.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy videos used to be ok. But now I have issues when recording videos with my Z3. Sometimes the video seems to lag during the recording. Not much but you can see it. When I check the recording, I see that the sound and the picture are out of sync. The pictures start first. When the movie is over, you can still hear the sound (slightly less than half a second). I recently set my phone to encrypted mode. I am not sure if this might be causing the issues I have.

Is it possible to determine which application has it in use? I've closed all running applications which didn't resolve the problem. Restarted the phone without starting any other applications before the camera and that failed. I'm not seeing any information about this issue in the couple of searches I've done so far but wonder if it's an isolated issue or something common.
Short of a Factory Reset, which I'm not fully opposed to doing, is there a potential solution?
If I receive a call during recording a video, the video gets lost. Can I change settings or is there any solution to save the video before accepting the call? Or is it simply a flaw in the software that the video is not saved automatically?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my OS to an official version 5 around 3 months ago and ever since I did that, my application memory seems to be really crap. Initially I had around 26-30mbs of application memory right after a Quickpull but now I only have around 2-4mb of app memory. It's really frustrating as using my usual apps such as Viigo, Facebook, Msn, Google Maps etc have become a pain and almost impossible to load. And I haven't installed any new applications in case you were wondering.
I have contemplated to downgrade my OS back to version 4 but was wondering if anyone here has encountered this problem and could offer any sort of solution.
