What mobile radio active is in battery usage? When I go to battery usage for example for google play it says 13m 59s for CPU total but 1h 11m 59s mobile radio active. What is mobile radio active?
View 3 RepliesI just switched last week from my old note 1 to the S6 and I really enjoy it so far but the battery time bothers still a bit.
On my old note 1 and my 5.0 and 5.1 rom I never had Google play services and the android system consume more then 4-5% battery.
But now on my S6 it's always more than 20% battery usage.
And the mobile radio activity is always at the end of the day at one and a half our on play services and android system,never had that with my Note.
I don't usually surf more than 50 minutes while I'm at work.
The only apps I have installed are whatsapp,clash of clans and twitter.
I did a factory reset today only installed whatsapp and the damn battery drain is still there...
My provider/Mobile carrier is Vodafone Germany,and LTE on. I normally have 3 to 4 bars H+
How to reduce this unnecessary battery drain
So, i've reset phone, flashed new image, changed from Chrome to Dolphin to no avail. I thought they fixed this bug, but evidently not. Browsers are always my top battery usage.

Restricting background data doesn't do this. I also don't want to set mobile data limits, or have to monitor mobile data usage. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a aggravating problem that started about a month ago. My phone and battery are not communicating. I am running 5.0 It began one day, I thought I was getting great battery life. It turned out the indicator was stuck at 56% . Now it just stays at 100% . Battery life is normal, I can go all day. How much battery is left. When it's done it dies.
When I go to Battery in settings it says battery data not available. I am sure this is a software issue. Whether it is a app or the OS? After the factory reset I was very careful about what I installed. Recently installed Battery Dr. It stays at 100% as well.
Here is what I've tried.
1. Bought a new battery. This seemed to correct at first, but now both battery act the same.
2. Did a factory date reset. Again this seemed to be the fix. But the issue came back.
3. Wiped the data cache. No real change.
Can the stock OS or any 3rd party app tell me what the battery use of a particular widget is?

I've seen quite a few screenshots where people's battery were saying 21 hours for estimated usage time remaining at 100%, and some have been getting 2 days of use, even if it's minimal. My question is how is that even possible, when after a full charge to 100%, my estimated usage time remaining is only 10 hours?? This is my 2nd S6 as the first one had a camera problem, but both only estimate 10 hours when full.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI generally don't have trouble getting through a work day with my S6, but I do wonder whether the Android utilization is high. During a typical day (1 - 2 hours SOT, 14-15 hours off charger), I'm burning about 60%-70% of total battery, 30% of which is Android System (~22%) and Android Kernel (~8%). Google Play and other apps are all typically < 5%. Is this normal, or does this indicate that a factory reset might be a good idea? On previous phones I don't recall core Android being this high (usually <10%).

There is one small problem though, in settings ->battery usage its fully charged and saying i have 1m 50 s on battery?!! And when i open the graph it says i have 27 seconds on battery! Listening to built in internet radio fills phone's C: memory with no apparent reason (No any messages, no email, no installed apps, to prevent stamp answers that suggest to remove apps and messages). After about 10-15 minutes browsing and listening stations memory is decreased by about 10 MB's. I used X-plore to see, what can i do and what to delete but there's nothing to delete. Probably the Private or Sys folders are filled with some kind of junk but obviously there is no access to these... I had about 130 MB free on C: and after using Internet radio it was decreased to below 120 MB. I did very little listening next day and after that memory was left to 114 MB. What if it will eventually fill completely? It was a problem on Nokia E52 and Nokia 500 Anna.
Internet is full of complaints about Nokia phones memory usage. But no any reasonable solution. All what i can find are typical stamp answers that suggests to remove apps and messages and so on... Few months ago my E52 ran out of memory, though i hadn't installed any apps on C: and all messages were also on memory card. Even deleting browser cache (using x-plore) did not help.
Weird problem i had was i tried AP Mobile once just to try it and that was it. But after charging my phone last night after 1 hour it was down to 60% and was quite hot. I looked at battery usage and 80% was being used by AP Mobile and i couldn't stop it. I eventually stopped the program but it was still showing on Battery Usage (I'm not sure if that is an average over the day or is showing you what is being used at that moment).

I have had this phone on the Bell network for a little over two months and keep getting billed for mobile browser usage that I know I never intentionally use. I do not use the mobile browser/internet aspect at all, I use the phone as a phone and for texting.After the first bill came in with over $25.00 of data charges I called Bell and got the they are legit charges and maybe you should just pay us a extra $10/ month for unlimited data to save yourself some money.I now lock the face keys and have bought a phone case and don't carry the phone in my pocket at all now so I don't believe there is any accidental button pushed which causes the phone to go online.The per usage data is low 0.014 or 0.0068 megabytes per use but it happens every day and adds up.Is there a feature I may have inadvertently turned on in the phone which causes it to go online to update some thing? I've gone through the phone and do not see anything obvious.
