Lock screen today started displaying blank white boxes where there should be numbers and letters, as seen in picture below. It still unlocks fine however.
Upgraded to Lollipop at the weekend so i'm assuming a bug related to the update.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5. Its not rooted. But I am running Nova Launcher as my default launcher. It causes my lock screen to kinda glitch out. The letters and numbers on the pin lock screen are turning into solid white blocks. I know if I restart my phone, it fixes it. But I'm just curious as to what causes it.

Whenever I go into my "Messages" app, it either shows up as a blank white page or shows previous messages but the screen freezes on the page. Sometimes I am able to text but then it starts freezing again. I am unable to call anyone. My battery is drastically draining. My phone just decides to freeze randomly and will turn off by itself. When double clicking the home button to "close" apps, my phone freezes. I have tried to update to the new IOS 8.1.2, but whenever I choose the "agree" option, my phone doesn't do anything.

I have Bold 9700. When I am typing my password to unlock the phone, I can see the letters appear instead of ***** in the password box. If I enter the password as was set, it is not accepted. As I am on the last attempt before the phone is wiped.

In some messaging apps such as Line and Kakaotalk, if an iPhone user sends me an emoji, I get a blank square instead of the emoji, even though when I copy and paste into Google and search, the emojis show up in the browser. This is a very tedious workaround, though, when I want to just see the emoji and be able to respond right away.
Is there any way I could fix this and have it show the emoji? My S5 is unrooted at the moment but I don't mind rooting it if it is part of the solution.
I have the latest version of Ovi maps installed on my N8. I have downloaded and installed local area maps (Guangdong, Hong Kong and Philippines).I have checked and re-checked all the settings from other forum discussions. Everything looks orrect...BUT when I try to zoom in, it's as if I have NO maps loaded...just a pale green screen with a message 'no detailed info.....then the app crashes after 15 seconds and I'm back to the home screen!!!I wish I could delete this app completely from my phone and use Nokia maps (like I had on my N82) but it won't let me.What a heap of JUNK! biggest waste of money in my life. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've a N8 but the Nokia Maps just don't want to work properly. When I start the software, it just shows a blank green screen and the GPS light is blinking. But I can't see any maps... It did work a few days ago but now it stopped working out of the blue. I updated the maps but the problem was still there. Then I deleted the cities folder and then I tried the new Beta version of the maps. Problem is still there... The nokia server is also correctly defined.

Just wanted to ask, after the latest update. It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.

If i try to unlock i see a blank screen with the backlight on. Unable to access homescreen at all. If i leave the phone for sometime and then if i try unlocking again it works fine. For about a month now , my phone has been having problems sending text messages. Some people receive them just fine, some people receive boxes instead of letters, and some people receive blank messages. Sometimes people just don't get anything.
