BB Curve :: Incoming Calls All Show As Unknown Numbers?
Nov 7, 2012I have a blackberry curve 8520 for the past week, all the calls that I receive show as "unknown numbers" they're all saved in my contacts but no name on numbers appears, when the phone rings it says "unknown numbers", I did not have this problem before so I don't understand what's happening anything needs to be change in my settings?

Oct 28, 2012I have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at �1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages.It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?

Dec 9, 2014the decline option doesn't come up when calls come in from numbers that are not on my contact list. I only get the slide to answer, remind me or message. did they change it so you have to push the volume button to quiet the call?

When I receive a multimedia group text, the texts only show the originators number and not the other Group numbers.
This phone is a SAMSUNG GALAXY 6, using Android 5.0.2
Other suggested truning on Group Conversation or Group Messaging in the settings , but that option does not appear.
The instructions I received are below , but like I said, it did not show up on the settings.Is there a difference in the Android versions that would cause the menu to be different or the setting to located somewhere else?

Jul 7, 2010I'm still new to Samsung and it's on Cricket. Anyway I've finely figured out how to get into the file system with QPST. BitPim wasn't working for me. What has anyone else done from here? Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. My girl friend has the Samsung My Shot II and it does not have that stupid ascending ring. I know with my last phone (UTStarcom / AudioVox) you could edit some files and get rid of some default sound efx and other stuff. I have the R560

Oct 31, 2012My samsung galaxy SII had been playing up, crashing etc for a couple of weeks, then for some unknown reason, it froze and died on me, never to be switched back on again. It has been well looked after so it hasn't been water damaged or dropped or anything of the sort. The battery was about 50% charged, I've also tried using somebody else's battery, tried connecting it to a PC, tried to start it whilst its connected to the charger and everything else I could think of but nothing. My main problem, is that I've been in touch with samsung and they asked to send the phone to them for repair, but told me that everything will be erased.
Now I know I am totally stupid for not backing up all of my media etc, but the information stored on the phone is worth more to me than what the phone is itself. Although the phone is totally dead and will not switch on, so how I can access my pictures/videos etc because surely it must be still stored on the phone somewhere. The phone itself is not as important to me as much as the media stored on it and I am willing to try anything to access my media files even if it means my phone isn't able to go for repair, I know I am going to receive comments for not backing up my media.

Issue: For the last week, I have been missing almost all of my incoming calls. It rings from in/from the calling phone, but nothing comes through on my phone. This started at the same time that my outbound texts started hour-glassing (green/blue rotating circle) for 30-90 seconds before sending - some texts "fail to send" altogether. Also, sometimes when surfing the internet (Chrome and apps) on the network (full bars of 4G LTE), websites don't load - they time out. This has always happened (very occasionally) but seems to happen a lot more often since the texting/calling issues have surfaced.
Attempts to fix: I have updated my PRL. I have ensured that my 'network mode' was still in LTE/CDMA. I have reset settings back to pre-set using ##72786#. I have taken my phone to a Sprint store and was told that they only thing they could recommend was to factory-reboot my phone but that it probably wouldn't fix the issues.
Other notes: I have not downloaded any new apps around the time the issues came about. Also, turning my "network mode" to CDMA seems to fix the incoming call problem (but then I don't have 4G)
Galaxy S6 :: Can't Accept Or See Incoming Calls?
Oct 11, 2015I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 and as of this morning I cannot see when I have an incoming call or accept the call. I only am aware of the incoming call by the ringtone followed by the a missed call being added to the log. I have changed the setting to now let me answer the call by hitting the home key however, I cannot see who Is at the other end of the incoming call. If I make a outgoing call I no longer have the call screen appear.

Galaxy S5 :: Cannot Accept Incoming Calls
Jun 1, 2015Lately my S5 will not accept incoming calls. If someone calls me (particularly from a cell phone number) and I answer, it 'Accepts' the call but immediately ends the call. Meaning, it goes from the slide to unlock and then go the call screen but the call ends right away.
If I call from my house phone, a VoIP landline, my S5 will allow that call with no issues. I've had multiple people try calling from different cell phone carriers and iOS or android phones, and each time it's the same result.
I have tried using the Home Key to answer the call, and still get the same thing. I have tried rebooting my phone, clearing cache partition, factory resets, WiFi calling on/off, roaming or not roaming, 4G or 3G, power saving on/off, updating my profile and prl, and all motion gestures are turned off. I've verified I'm not blocking any calls from within the call settings.

Apr 16, 2012Is there any way of getting the actual phone numbers to show when in the "Contacts" screen instead of just the contacts name. If I want to look for a phone number, it means that I have got to click on each contact name to bring up the next screen with the phone number etc on it and then click back to the contacts screen and keep doing it all through the list of contacts.
With my old HTC Desire it used to show both right at the start.
