Dec 12, 2014About a week ago, my iPhone 5S started acting very strange. Whenever I go into my "Messages" app, it either shows up as a blank white page or shows previous messages but the screen freezes on the page. Sometimes I am able to text but then it starts freezing again. I am unable to call anyone. My battery is drastically draining. My phone just decides to freeze randomly and will turn off by itself. When double clicking the home button to "close" apps, my phone freezes. I have tried to update to the new IOS 8.1.2, but whenever I choose the "agree" option, my phone doesn't do anything.

I have downloaded and installed local area maps (Guangdong, Hong Kong and Philippines).I have checked and re-checked all the settings from other forum discussions. Everything looks orrect...BUT when I try to zoom in, it's as if I have NO maps loaded...just a pale green screen with a message 'no detailed info.....then the app crashes after 15 seconds and I'm back to the home screen!!!I wish I could delete this app completely from my phone and use Nokia maps (like I had on my N82) but it won't let me.What a heap of JUNK! biggest waste of money in my life. All my iphone 3 and 4 colleagues are laughing at my 'good fortune'.

Feb 22, 2012I've a N8 but the Nokia Maps just don't want to work properly. When I start the software, it just shows a blank green screen and the GPS light is blinking. But I can't see any maps... It did work a few days ago but now it stopped working out of the blue. I updated the maps but the problem was still there. Then I deleted the cities folder and then I tried the new Beta version of the maps. Problem is still there... The nokia server is also correctly defined.

Mar 13, 2012The problem is that I have blank screen during all calls and alarms and worst thing is that menu and shutdown keys isn't working idher. I can't do anything when I have a call or when I want to shut down alarm clock. Everything worked fine with Symbian Belle but this **bleep** started after I updated it to Belle. I assumed this was as a result of mistakenly clicking "clear who is it blinking" on the home screen menu, however, I've since been unable to re-enable it.Consequently, whenever I either make a call or pick up an incoming call, the screen goes blank and becomes inactive. I can read some text, but if I scroll down about two or three inches, there will be about an inch of white blank space. It doesn't happen with my Facebook app, Gasbuddy.com, but it does happen with ESPN, CNN, Washington Post -- anything that connects straight to the Internet as opposed to going through an app.

Jun 21, 2015I've had this problem for a while, but with the new iOS emojis, it's become even more obvious. In some messaging apps such as Line and Kakaotalk, if an iPhone user sends me an emoji, I get a blank square instead of the emoji, even though when I copy and paste into Google and search, the emojis show up in the browser. This is a very tedious workaround, though, when I want to just see the emoji and be able to respond right away.
Is there any way I could fix this and have it show the emoji? My S5 is unrooted at the moment but I don't mind rooting it if it is part of the solution.

May 21, 2015Just wanted to ask, after the latest update. It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.
