Samsung s5 keypad letters and numbers turn into white squares/rectangles and doesnt go away until restarted. I could show a screenshot but theres no upload here.. My phone is 3 weeks old and this happened atlest 2 times already..
View 24 RepliesAfter a while on my phone, my home screen numbers start to turn into white blocks. Then it starts to spread to the actual words on my phone (i.e. the dates). It is fixed by restarting the phone, but is there any way to fix this properly? Is there something wrong with my phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5. Its not rooted. But I am running Nova Launcher as my default launcher. It causes my lock screen to kinda glitch out. The letters and numbers on the pin lock screen are turning into solid white blocks. I know if I restart my phone, it fixes it. But I'm just curious as to what causes it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to the iphone4, I restored from my most recent 3G back up, but most (not all) of the thumbnails in the photo library of the Photos app are just blank white squares. When you click on the white square a picture shows up, but this makes browsing almost impossible. I tried restoring, and unselecting and reselecting in itunes and cannot get a majority of the thumbnails to show. the photos that do not show are random.

The touch on my iPhone 5s doesn't work anymore, and white squares have appeared on the bottom of the screen. I have tried to restart the phone several times (Home/Start buttons combination) but it doesn't work. I can receive phone calls but I can't answer at all. The touch suddenly stopped working for no legitimate reason.

Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem for a while, but with the new iOS emojis, it's become even more obvious. In some messaging apps such as Line and Kakaotalk, if an iPhone user sends me an emoji, I get a blank square instead of the emoji, even though when I copy and paste into Google and search, the emojis show up in the browser. This is a very tedious workaround, though, when I want to just see the emoji and be able to respond right away.
Is there any way I could fix this and have it show the emoji? My S5 is unrooted at the moment but I don't mind rooting it if it is part of the solution.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy keypad is in the locked state and the numbers (123) locked state... so I can't type in the correct password.
Pressing ALT or ALT-# does not fix the problem... I am also traveling in Europe and do not have an international plan... But I was able to use the camera yesterday.
Some of the key pad numbers on my phone do not work properly. The 1 does nothing. The 3 shortcuts to the camera and the 6 defaults back to the wallpaper. I have tried the master reset and this has not helped.

The numbers are inputting but do not display, if I type the correct numbers and press send it will call. However, when it starts ringing I get a "Note: Call Forwarding Active. I do not know if these two problems are related. I don't even know what I did to activate call forwarding. Letters and Numbers will display when pressed in other applications so I do not know what did to screw it up because they displayed before when I typed. This phone is a Straight Talk - E71.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought a brand new blackberry curve 8900 and i've noticed that the keyboard backlight won't come on. I've read its supposed to detect dim light and turn on, on its own but I can be in a pitch black room and it wont turn on. Also i read that if you cover the led indicator light it should come on, tried that and it didn't work. I also went to the keypad and display settings and turned diming off and pretty much no matter what I do I can't get the backlight to turn on.
