My daughter has bought a Curve 8520 in january and put her personal code in there with letters. Now we can suddenly not use the keyboards letters to unlock the device.Probably a combination of keys which I can't find in any blog or website

View 7 Replies View RelatedWell a couple of months ago, on bbm, if I was to type a message it would delete what I was saying and randomly change to symbols instead of letters, and it would be stuck on alt. Recently, I have not had the charger for three days, as my brother took it, so my phone was dead for three days. When I got the charger back and charged it up, the keyboard wouldn't work, then it would go dead even though I am pushing the button that turns it on. And the only way it does turn on is when you charge it but it lasts for 5 seconds literally. The weirdest thing is the light is still flashing?

I'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.
The top row of letters/numbers will not respond on touchscreen of iphone3gs

I downloaded I took this on my phone app from bb apps and since then its completely frozen, cant switch on or off and just have a message that the phone cannot access data. It required me to reboot the blackberry so I did and now that it has loaded up I get a message saying 'To start using your Blackberry (R) smartphone, you will need to confirm the languages that you use.' and a highlighted button saying 'Continue'. Thing is, I can't press any buttons or scroll through writing or anything. No buttons, though I can use 'alt' and 'caps. There doesn't seem to be a signal either. I take the battery out and put it back in but when the Blackberry loads up again the same screen comes up. I know it has updated because the loading screen is different.

Upgraded to Lollipop at the weekend so i'm assuming a bug related to the update.
I was logging out of facebook on my blackberry curve, when it froze. I turned it off and on again, but it would only fill up three quarters of the bar on the loading up screen. I then took the battery out left it for a while put it back in, and it has done exactly the same thing. What I can do to get my blackberry working again.

My signal is still coming through but I cannot receive anything. I press any button and still nothing works, it just comes up with the front page! I've been told to do a reset without taking my battery out and I've tried doing that and taking the battery out and nothing has happened. I've even tried looking for a reset button as I've been told there is one but I cannot even find that!

Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. And when I scroll through my inbox it marks all the messages. I am confused I think my number lock is on or something.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI downloaded my lookout virus scanner.Worked great.Did an upgrade from BBapp world and after reboot it starts and the application permission pops up and everything is frozen. My animated screensaver is moving in the background and if I press the alt or caps key the symbol comes on and off but nothing moves and I cant do anything. The phone signal never turns on and the time freezes to when it first starts. I have pulled the battery atleast 20 times and have done the alt caps del reset a bunch too. I email the company of the program and filed a help request but it being the weekend I think Im screwed with them. Can anyone help me out how to get around this I just wanna get my phone back this has been all afternoon.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have the curve 8530 and there is a new gmail thing, where it ask's you if you want to sync your contacts to gmail account. DON'T DO IT. i did it and two things happened:
1.contact name duplicates
2.numbers re-arranged (other people's number's under the wrong people etc.)
what i did was put all my 'un-messed up' contacts in Microsoft outlook and went to the Verizon store, they told me about the gmail problem, and they are sending me a new phone. when i get it i will use desktop manager to put all those contacts from Microsoft outlook and put them on my new phone.i suggest everyone with this problem, do it.
My wife has the 8530 with Verizon. Her contact names have the wrong numbers and vice versa. Some of them have duplicate contacts with different numbers. Verizon has no idea what to do....Any suggestions? Why does this happen??
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had the Curve 8530 for about a week, and I noticed today that the majority of my contact list has disappeared. I started with almost 250 names, now I have about 25. Everything from A-D is gone, and about 75% of everything after that, just random names deleted. Also, when I pull up the contact list, I have to scroll down through a bunch of empty lines before I can see the numbers that are left, like all the deleted contacts are still there, just hidden. But if I search for names that aren't showing up, it doesn't find anything. I've tried a battery pull, and all that happened was the empty spaces in the list disappeared. I really don't want to have to reload my contacts every few days.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI currently have the curve 8520.I was using my fully functional bb which is 100% in good condition and suddenly the trackpad stopped working. i could only use the blackberry button, the back button, the call and hang up buttons and the keyboard.Assuming it was just in need of a reboot, i rebooted it and suddenly none of my buttons worked (every single button including the keyboard and buttons above)suddenly, now my mobile network has been turned off and theres no way of turning it on because nothing works!
