View 1 RepliesOn my Homescreen Instead of 3G/GPRS/EDGE it gives me edge/3g/gprs Which means that BIS isnt activated on my account.I cannot access my Email or Browser because the BIS is not activated,I called my Carrier "Etisalat" Customer support nearly 20 times, And Everytime they Ask me to remove the battery and re-plug! Last time i checked they told me that in their systems it appeared my blackberry's BIS was indeed activated, But on my BB it was still edge, So I think the problem might be from the BB/Sim Card.I have been having this problem 2 months now and I would really appreciate your help.FYI i have tried all these steps(but didn't work):
1.Tried Registering in Host Routing Table
2.Tried to restart My Blackberry(Battery Remove)
3.Changing network mode to 2G
4.Upgrade my Os to 5.0
5.Restoring to factory Defaults
I already have data plan on my sim and few days back all of a sudden the EDGE became small letters. Tried registering host and tried doing hard reset and even tried upgrading OS to 6.0 but nothing worked.note that i had BES account configured on this BB device and everything worked just fine until Thursday October 6th.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm typing with the stock Samsung Keyboard occasionally it deletes the first letter of the word I'm typing automatically. This is really annoying because then it predicts a completely different word to the one I initially meant to type. Also, the issue is only with Samsung Keyboard, swiftkey works fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I type an email, sometimes it substitutes two or three letters for an email address, or a name of a contact of mine..I don't have any of this set up in shortcuts etc...it's as if those two letters are telling the device to substitute for a contact.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using bb 8110 pearl and I used bis plan 2 months ago and everything worked fine for me and I deactivated and 1 month ago I reactivated it but edge is showing in small letters and I called 2 service provider and they told me my plan is activated and it is same as what I was using before. I did everything like battery pull out, wipe out, upgrade and downgrade and sending registration message from host routing table and also tried on-pff data services. I am calling daily service provider but they said my plan is activated and working but I cant get use anything. I read somewhere if pin is blocked by rim then cant use net services. But I don't know even if mine is blocked. In status I can see pin and imei.

While using the physical keyboard it is randomly changing letters to uppercase and then adding punctuation.
I have the Blackberry Curve 8320. I downloaded all the language options for Spanish and installed them on my device. I am looking for a way to type letters with accent marks (i.e. á, ñ, é, etc.). I can't figure out how to do so, though. I have tried the following things-Going into Symbols and looking for them.Holding down letters to see if they would change to the new letters (this worked on my old phone, however, it was Pantech, not Blackberry).Pressing the letters repeatedly. Also, before anyone asks, I am sure that the input language was turned to Spanish.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was just hoping that someone could please shed some light on a problem i have with my Blackberry Curve 8520. Just recently it has started to type extra "a" in when i use it then all of a sudden the "alt" button is putting in * when i press it.I read somewhere that it maybe water damage, but i don't take it near water then i heard it may just be the keypad sticking or thirdly it could be the software needing to be upgraded.if you have had the same problem and managed to sort it or even if you had to get a new phone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWell a couple of months ago, on bbm, if I was to type a message it would delete what I was saying and randomly change to symbols instead of letters, and it would be stuck on alt. Recently, I have not had the charger for three days, as my brother took it, so my phone was dead for three days. When I got the charger back and charged it up, the keyboard wouldn't work, then it would go dead even though I am pushing the button that turns it on. And the only way it does turn on is when you charge it but it lasts for 5 seconds literally. The weirdest thing is the light is still flashing?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Curve's keyboard has suddenly started to malfunction, some letters double or triple up. This is especially problomatic when typing in a password or texting. The keys also seem to have a slow response time. Especially the backspace button which i have to click multiple times to get to delete things. And it seems random for which letters it doubles up, but this problem has been happening for the past 4 days.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.

I read a few posts on the forum but all were 2009 based. I did run a diagnostic test too but the results say Abort under all cases.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Curve 8520 (v5.0.0.681) on O2-UK has switched to GSM since last Friday (16th).Initially it happened to my girlfriend's Curve 8520, then mine and now it has happened to her sisters Curve 9300.
It has not happened to my girlfriend's parents Curve 9300. I also work 50 miles from home and it's not working so it's not a single tower issue. I have tried pulling the battery, reinstalling the software and a security wipe.
I contacted my carrier (O2-UK) who state that it's not a problem with their network and that they have had a lot of reports of the same issue in this past week, they're saying it's a Blackberry issue.
I am using Airtel Blackberry Internet Services on 9300, After activating the services I got the EDGE icon in Caps and the internet works but only for a minute after that no pages are loading. Even apps don't work it takes forever to load and I get no internet connectivity but I still have the EDGE icon in caps and the network usage arrows working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the past month or so my sisters blackberry curve 9300 changed from being at GPRS/EDGE to GSM and she cannot get access to the internet at all, so she has no facebook, bbm, email or browser etc. and this is even when she is connected to our wifi at home. We have tried rebooting it several times by taking out the battery and also the sim card but this has not helped. We took the phone back to the O2 shop where it was purchased and they gave her a new sim card and when this didnt work she went back again and the said that because she was roaming the bolt ons was cancelled and they set that up again. However the phone is still on GSM and so this hasnt helped. When I was looking thorugh the phone trying to see if there was anything I could do to change it back to GPRS I noticed that in the service status it says that blackberry internet service is not connected.
