Im using 9220 new and i am able to browse but most of the time the icon "EDGE" turns iself to "edge" and it does'nt by iteslf turns switches back even though phone comes back to high reception area, would like to know is it always like that or any settings that has to be done. View 1 RepliesI am having a new problem with WiFi intermittently disconnecting. It seems to be happening after the screen has been turned off for a while--I turn it back on and the wifi is not connected--once I unlock the phone the wifi then automatically connects. It happens on both my home and work network, and not with any other devices. Haven't changed any settings recently. Tried to turn Smart Network Switch off but that didn't work. "Keep wifi on during sleep" is and has been set to "always".
Possibly related is that a similar thing is happening with Bluetooth. I only have Bluetooth on while driving, and I have noticed that the connection has been randomly disconnecting, and then I have to manually toggle Bluetooth back on and reconnect the phone to the car.
I just wanted to ask if there is some app or something to make my edge glow while screen off.

I have had this phone for a few weeks now, and today I must have hit something because there is a blue app icon on my screen that actually moves from screen to screen. I have tried to delete it or put it in the trash can.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked TELUS Storm playing GSM on a Philippines carrier called Smart. The data connection and call reception quality here has been nothing but horrible. Dropped calls/Calls failed, etc are pretty rampant around here (no matter what part of town you're in)
Anyway, I'd _like_ to think it may be something to do with the fact that the device is not Smart authorized/sold device. However, the backward nature of cellphone networks here could argue me down.
Long story short, now that you know my troubles.. when I'm on a full GPRS/EDGE connection, I pull up the browser. Once I start getting ready to type in a URL, the GPRS/EDGE goes to gprs/edge. It happens about 98% of the time. This same thing happens when I go to URL from an email/sms etc. I can't seem to figure it out. I've been on .328, but upgrading to .419 as we speak. Thoughts would be nice.
I am using Galaxy S6 Edge. Issue started happening two days ago. Even when there are no new messages the WhatsApp icon shows "1" suggesting there is one unread message.
Also even though there are multiple unread messages it still shows "1" in the icon.
Tried clearing cache and force restarting the app and still doesn't work.
After I updated to android 5.1.1 on my S6 edge Ive lost my badge app icon aka notification count for whats app textra and other apps that used to show notification counts on them prior to the update ( android 5.0.2). I am using the normal touchwiz launcehr that came with my phone. I have used it as well before the update.

Samsung really does make terrific phones.One thing I was curious about, that I noticed recently, was that when I plug headphones into the phone, the little headphone icon appears in the top left corner and says that headphones are now connected and then the icon and message disappear. Coming from the HTC one M8 I am used to the headphone icon remaining there the whole time my headphones are plugged in and was wondering if this is normal for it to prompt me that the headphones are connected and then disappear?
Also, on a, possibly related, side note, having weird issues with the spotify app just crashing or pausing for no reason? I was thinking that it was either due to notifications I was getting, a bad headphone jack, or maybe the app is just bugging out.
I cant see the smiley icon for my emoji. Even when I press and hold the microphone icon the icon for the emoji is not there. I tried to use my keyboard everywhere like my note and other apps. Still cant see my emoji icons.

The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. The problem im facing with my phone currently is with data loss. the phone constantly shows EDGE but i still cant send/receieve emails, send/receieve Bbm and also cant load webpages.
When i try sending a message to a friend on BBM, i see a "red clock" sign Is this a problem with my handset or is it just a network problem?
I read a few posts on the forum but all were 2009 based. I did run a diagnostic test too but the results say Abort under all cases.

I have a habit of saving all my sms text messages, and that was exactly what I was doing on my BB since June, 2011, from day one of using the phone.
However it seems that any sms beyond a month old automatically turns blank and becomes a green icon. Am lost since a lot of personal smses have vanished, including Flight tkt details - a day before my flight too..
lately the smses have turned green just 3 weeks out.... am desperate... since I also get a Application Memory full message.. inspite of saving all pics and music files on a 4GB memory card.
I would have to switch to my previous Samsung phone otherwise, even though it lacks a lot of features like my current BB..
I take a daily backup thru BB Protect, but it doesnt makes things better.

It has not happened to my girlfriend's parents Curve 9300. I also work 50 miles from home and it's not working so it's not a single tower issue. I have tried pulling the battery, reinstalling the software and a security wipe.

I am using Airtel Blackberry Internet Services on 9300, After activating the services I got the EDGE icon in Caps and the internet works but only for a minute after that no pages are loading. Even apps don't work it takes forever to load and I get no internet connectivity but I still have the EDGE icon in caps and the network usage arrows working.
