After I updated to android 5.1.1 on my S6 edge Ive lost my badge app icon aka notification count for whats app textra and other apps that used to show notification counts on them prior to the update ( android 5.0.2). I am using the normal touchwiz launcehr that came with my phone. I have used it as well before the update.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I did the new update, it's just displaying the badge icon circle (bubble) on the app, but no unread count. With e-mail and facebook I noticed it so far.
When I restart my phone it works, but then anything new after I delete those messages, it just goes back to no display count and a white bubble.
I've been using Package Disabler Pro and I'm not sure if its something that was considered bloatware or not by the app. I enabled all the disabled packages and it still does does not come back.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a Galaxy S6 Edge a couple of weeks ago. Everything was as it should be until a few days ago. The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. I just got the the phone set-up the way I wanted so the the thought of a factory reset makes me queasy.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone was working perfectly fine this morning when I got up. I went to make a call, it wouldn't connect so I went to Restart it, it froze on the "Starting Apps" screen. I did the whole "Holding the volume & Power" It powers up like it should, but doesn't move past the Samsung S6 Edge Screen. The blue light is flickering on it also. I don't know what to do!!!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Galaxy S6 Edge. Issue started happening two days ago. Even when there are no new messages the WhatsApp icon shows "1" suggesting there is one unread message.
Also even though there are multiple unread messages it still shows "1" in the icon.
Tried clearing cache and force restarting the app and still doesn't work.
I recently switched from the HTC one M8 to the Samsung S6 edge and have not looked back since. Samsung really does make terrific phones.One thing I was curious about, that I noticed recently, was that when I plug headphones into the phone, the little headphone icon appears in the top left corner and says that headphones are now connected and then the icon and message disappear. Coming from the HTC one M8 I am used to the headphone icon remaining there the whole time my headphones are plugged in and was wondering if this is normal for it to prompt me that the headphones are connected and then disappear?
Also, on a, possibly related, side note, having weird issues with the spotify app just crashing or pausing for no reason? I was thinking that it was either due to notifications I was getting, a bad headphone jack, or maybe the app is just bugging out.
I cant see the smiley icon for my emoji. Even when I press and hold the microphone icon the icon for the emoji is not there. I tried to use my keyboard everywhere like my note and other apps. Still cant see my emoji icons.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, was using TEXTRA with no issues and then the problem, The icon showed that there was ONE unread message. I deleted the app, reinstalled, same issue. So, now I look for an app that can show the correct number of unread messages on the icon.
View 6 Replies View Relatedbasically my phone is not connecting to mobile data after wi-fi connection is lost or manually disconnected. This is not always happening but once it happens the only way to bring back mobile data is by restarting the phone or manually toggling mobile data on and off in settings. Once it connects to mobile data it'll work for a while but then after being connected on WI-FI for a while it won't go back to mobile data on its own.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAround a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).

Cooler master software says phones temperature is about 38 c.
