is there any way for the 8330 to allow more letters when you text someone than 160? or do i have to cut short and sent a second text message. its really annoying and time consuming.
View 10 RepliesDoes anyone have problems sending photos using text messages?? Sometimes people receive them and other times they do not. I have one person that has an iphone and she can never receive a photo from me but yet she can send them fine. I just had someone send me a photo just now and I was trying to forward it to everyone on my contact list and it would not send it. Very frustrating. I never had this problem on my other phones.

I can be in mid conversation ad then not hear back from them for like 30 to an hour and they think I'm ignoring them. The time stamp shows when they sent and when I received what do I do to stop this.

Anywho, he has something set up that when he gets a phone call and doesn't want to answer it he just hits ignore and has it set up that it will automatically send a text message to that number saying "i'm in a meeting I will call you back" is this possible to set up with a Blackberry Curve 8330 on Sprint? The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.

The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?
I sent a SMS text message to another verizon user and it was recieved, but there is no little D next to the check mark. So can somebody tell me what this little D means, and if my sms text was recieved and it was sent to another verizon user, why is there no little D?

I've done search after search on my phone and it's only giving me the messages I've sent to that person and not their messages.
Is there a way to pull these messages or do I need some sort of software? I haven't done a backup for a few months since I only use it as a phone and for Facebook.Please tell me there is someway to pull these messages. I need to catch this perp now and report him to my pastor.
I'm currently away at college in an extended network but the whole 2 years I have been here I have never had a problem with service until this week.
My phone gets text messages and can receive calls at certain time but after a while if you try to make a call or send a text it won't go thru even though I have full bars or close to it.
Its weird I have service for like half an hour then suddently it stops. I have asked people with blackberrys who have verizon in the area and they aren't having any problems.
I have tried taking out the battery/Reset. It worked a few times but these last few days it has not solved the problem.
I already spoke to Verizon and they tried to do some troubleshooting with me.
My phone was working after I talking with Verizon but the problem keeps reoccurring.
Im in an area where I can't call 228 so even when my phone is working I cant update the software.
Long story short, I just cracked the screen on my storm1 so I'm activating my old 8330. I'm trying to find out what the best 8330 OS is. I've searched and can't find anything.

Is there any way to save the text messages to the media or sim card? She already has a new 8310 and she has to return the old phone (with the messages) to the warranty company. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my BB 8330 for almost a year now, and just recently, it's starting locking up OFTEN. Almost daily. It will lock up if I take a picture sometimes - it takes so long to save it, I have to do a battery pull. It also locks up when I go to my Facebook Application sometimes, and also if I try to SEND a photo to an MMS address, it will lock up then too. I did notice an "uncaught exception - memory full" error message just today - probably because I let the "locking up" run quite a time and didn't pull the battery yet. If this is the problem, what is my fix? Too many pics on the memory card? Too many apps installed? Too many emails in my inbox? I'm completely clueless.
I am frustrated popping my hard case off daily - which is wearing out the "tightness" of my case, and it's pretty hard to get off!
I just got my first blackberry today and can't seem to figure out how to browse the net. The sales person told me to click on the "world", which I did, but it only lets me search the blackberry site. How do I get to Google?

If I go into option and then date/time the time in their is correct. If I update time in the menu, the clock on the main screen will change but then it stays at that time. I have not installed any apps lately. Running 4.5.0.169 software.

I am using a BB 8330 & syncing to Outlook on my home computer. I have many years of calendar entries that I would like to keep in my Outlook calendar, however, don't want to use up so much space on my BB with the older appointments. I have my sync set up to two-way & to sync all appointments. If I set the "keep appointments" option to anything other than "forever" will it delete the older appointments from my Outlook as well or just on the BB.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk, my SMS icon has disappeared for no particular reason. Nothing I've seen in other threads is helping. I have an 8330 from NTelos. I also keep getting the "nullpointer" exception after battery pulls.
-It is NOT hidden
-It is NOT combined
-battery pull does nothing
-the software is updated
-'restore theme defaults' did not fix it
-changing from 3rd party theme to stock theme did not fix it
-re-registering with the network did not fix it
-uninstalling/reinstalling BBM does not help
anything else i can reasonably try before i throw it out the window?
