I have just changed over to Samsung after being a long time iPhone user. Most things I am getting used to but I can't work out how to setup an email alias in the native email app. I set up my account but the normal email address I have been using for years is an alias.

I have an email address through bt firstname.lastname@btconnect.com which I have to use to set up BB.The email address I use for work is the alias firstname@ firstnamelastname. co.uk.When I send emails from BB they come from firstname.lastname@btconnect.com - which confuses people.I have been trying to solve this problem on and off since December.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an e-mail account with a number of aliases. I want one of those aliases to be the one that shows as the sender whenever I send an e-mail from my Blackberry Torch 9800.
On a previous Blackberry there was a 'reply to' option and by putting this alias in there it did the above. Has that option been removed on the Torch?
I cannot set up the alias as a seperate email account on the Torch as there is no actual 'password' with the address.
My iPhone 4S shows no interest in using my alias email address as the default choice for sending and receiving email, even though I've changed the settings in iCloud. Mail persists in using my Apple ID as the default sending email address. It's a minor nuisance as my name shows up either way, but I'd like the correct email address to show.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to activate a Verizon wireless phone with page plus and the ESN seems clear but when I try to do the OTA programming, it can't recognize the phone. Kitty Wireless (who have been very kind) have been helping but they the esn must be wrong. Any ideas of where to find an ESN BESIDES under the battery? I have looked under settings and phone info but it's not there.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, my Alias mail account name is telling me that the password or account name is incorrect.So I go into SETTINGS as the button appears for it, and I hit it check all the settings and the settings are fine, nothing has changed. I have not had this problem in over 5 years! Is this a symptom of iCloud going full, taking over MobileMe? I cancelled my MM account 3 months back and have not had any problems. Why has this problems suddenly started appearing? I was looking at the mail in the ALIAS account from the alias account. Now I am looking at it through my main account, which is also reacting slowly due to this problem.

I love this phone and I'm not happy with the configuration of the new Alias, so when I was eligible for a new phone I got another of the same one I already had.The second one, the one I am using now, has the AF25 software. My original phone has the ZL05 version.As a result - I only discovered this hideous "Auto View" problem recently.And I ended up here while trying to find a fix for this annoying bug.So my question to all you fine folks now is.Did anyone ever find a fix for this bug, and if not, can anyone tell me if/how I can download the old software onto my newer Alias. I believe I have downloaded the necessary file onto my desktop but beyond that I am completely clueless on how to get it onto my phone.
When I was using a Blackberry with Email, I was able to deleted email on the phone display, but leave it so I can download messages to computer. Now when I delete from phone they are gone!

Is there a select all feature so I can delete all at once? On my old phone, I could select one, then menu, then select all, however, there isn't this feature on the menu of the Galaxy S6. If that is Gmail then why it opens up with all emails in a bold font like I did not read all these emails?
Everything seems to be working fine in stock email except one thing. When I send or reply to an email, it disappears. I know it sends, but there is no record of it in any of the sent folders. In the inbox, it shows that an email was responded to, but it doesn't exist on my device. It is not view-able in sent folder from any other device like my computer on IMAP either.
The email makes it to its destination so it's not the end of the world. However, I do like to have a record of what I send from my S6.
Using stock email app for outlook 365 account. The only way to get the email icon to clear from the notification bar is to swipe down and hit clear. Opening the email app and reading all unread emails does not clear the notification bar.

Cannot move to another folder (i.e. In Box), Reply, or Forward as I could with my S6. Only menu options under More are Edit (then Add Star or Mark As Read), Sort By, Delete All, Settings (View as, Autofit, Notifications, Spam, Confirm deletions). Verizon store personnel couldn't find how to do it either. I use Earthlink email, but this was never a problem with previous phones. So frustrating!!! I can Bcc myself on ones I send to be sure I have a copy in case of Sent deletion, but no way to retrieve messages received and deleted.

Exchange server does not work. Gmail does not work.
If I can connect to a WiFi, then email works. But without WiFi, email does not work at all.
Every time I get a text message I also receive it in an email to my gmail that is associated with my google account. I have looked all over the internet and have found instructions on how to turn off the sync feature on s4, s3, etc. The s5 is completely different and does not have an easy "Text Sync" check box to turn the feature off. How do I get this turned off!!!
