is it possible for someone to package up the Samsung email app into an apk and then install it on a different branded device, in my case a OnePlus? I need to use MobileIron to get my corporate emails on my phone but MobileIron only supports Samsung's email app or otherwise I have to use Touchdown. Touchdown might be the worst email app ever invented.install the Samsung email app on my phone. I don't need root or anything like that.
When I was using a Blackberry with Email, I was able to deleted email on the phone display, but leave it so I can download messages to computer. Now when I delete from phone they are gone!
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant and I am confused about Email and Samsung Email. When I get notified of a new hotmail message it goes to Samsung Email. I also see my messages in the Email program. how do you even remove Samsung Email? I installed it from Samsung Apps and now there is no way to remove it.
I have bought SGS2 just 2 days back and did setup for rarely used email id in the icon Email.. Now I wanted to change this email ID to other ID... But there is no option to change this ID.. change this ID
I can receive e-mails via Yahoo mail but cannot reply (mails not sent) to sender. I cannot send an email to any email address in my contacts. I now have a google mail account and can send and receive emails via google but do not want to change my email address as I need to continue using my laptop.
Email widget stops working after the boot usually on one or two hours. You can click and open existing emails, but new emails are not listed and you cannot select which email box to view. Killing widget service or email won't help. You have to add the widget again or reboot the phone.
I'm a new user to Samsung S2 and also new to this forum. Apologies in advance if this question is somewhere else, but I have spent the last hour/so looking and can't find an answer.... the questions is ...My email with ntl on my S2 is set up ok but I can't find how to tell it to keep the SENT emails. I know there's a setting somewhere where you have to tick the box, I read that on this forum, but I can't find that forum question again or I would have asked there.
Well I ditched the iphone 3gs and jumped in with the Samsung S2 today but I can't get it to sync with my email. I'm from British Columbia Canada and am with Telus, I run Outlook 2007. I keep getting "setup could not finish" with both the automatic and manual setup using IMAP, POP and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync when setting up through the email icon on the S2. Iphone was no problem with email.
I upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich on my Galaxy S2 yesterday and now I've lost visibility of my Exchange sub-folders within the default Email app. If I open up Email it defaults to my Inbox, but when I hit the menu key and select folders the only ones I can see are the main root folders, Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent, Deleted etc. I have a load of sub-folders underneath my Inbox that I need to be able to get to on my phone as I use it for work. This all worked fine on Gingerbread.I've removed my Exchange account from the phone and re-added it, but this made no difference. Interestingly on re-adding the account and going into the folders section I saw all my sub-folders and then as the initial sync was occurring they were removed one by one until it left me with the same default folders as I mentioned above.
I updated my SG2 to ICS v4.0.3 last night, and everything went smoothly with no problems to report. Apart from the fact the install seemed to delete 2 of my 3 email accounts that were set up 1 Hotmail account and 1 AOL account.I've set up the Hotmail account no problem, but for some reason I just cannot get the AOL one set up. I input my email address and password and it progresses to the 'retrieving information' screen but then I keep getting the error message Sign in incorrect - The attempt to sign in failed due to an invalid User Name, Password or incorrect settings. Please check blah blah blah....try again blah blah blah Now I've sucessfully logged in to the email account via the internet (just in case I was been a numpty and entering the incorrect password) and the details are all correct. I've even tried changing my password on-line then logging in again on my phone with the new one, but I still get the smae error message. I never had this problem at all with Gingerbread.
I have got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and got a Galaxy S2 to go with it.I have set up (using the supplied "email" app BOTH bits of kit to download my emails....however...on the Samsung tablet when I open the 'email' app it does nothing until I go to 'refresh' - then it downloads any new emails. When I open the app on the PHONE, however, it just clears off and downloads emails...wherever I happen to be.How do I tell the phone to NOT use up my data allowance, and let me tell IT when I want to do a download?
Email was working fine prior to upgrading to ICS 4.0.4. Now my Samsung Galaxy S2 does not connect to my Apple Icloud account. I cannot get my emails pushed to my phone now.
I am new to the world of Android (previous BB User), I have both a gmail and an ISP email in my phone, and for some reason when i compose a ISP email, the body of the email is underlined, I have looked through the settings and cannot find anything that relates. If I send a email through gmail its is fine. I have even tried tapping the info in a notepad app, copy & paste into the body & it still underlines the body only
I've had a Galaxy G2 for several months now and all of a sudden the outgoing email facility no longer works. If I try to reset the outgoing email settings, everything is fine and the test appears successful. But when I try to send email I find that I receive message 'Connection error'. I am currently set to send emails without signing on, the port number is 25 and the SMTP server is [URL] I have tried signing in and changing the smtp address to others suggested on other sites, i.e [URL], but setup is never completed.
I am connecting successfully to my pop email account, and am able to send/retrieve without issue. However, as soon as I pull email from the pop account on my home computer, I lose all of the messages on my phone. Isn't there a way to download messages onto my phone and keep them? I don't see an option to flag or save individual messages, or to move them to a folder.
I recently changed my msn password via my pc, I then got the error message on my phone when trying to log into mail, entered new password and it would just time out when trying to connect.Today i get the message, " Sign in incorrect, The attempt to sign in failed due to invalid User Name, Password or incorrect settings (301)user name and password are correct, not sure what or how to change settings, I just have the option of ticking 3 boxes, Set premium acc, Send email from this account + show password.
I've set up my SGS2 to get email from Hotmail but Im getting a lot of false email notifications.I get a notification that says 14 unread(Hotmail) and when I check my inbox there are no new emails!
I've been trying to add my sky.com email account to the the Email App without any joy.I added my Sky account in Services/Accounts and Sync as a Google account and then attempted to view my emails in the Email App but all I can see is my Gmail inbox. My sky.com address is visible in the menu bar but no emails.
I am looking for an email app that has a "delete all" button, I get heaps of emails each day and I find it very tedious selecting every message before clicking delete, so an app that had a select all button or a delete all option would be great, or any solution to this with the stock e mail app.
Don't suggest using the gmail app instead of the stock. I want to use the Samsung email native app and I have my reasons. Now, I have tried what seems like every way possible to get gmail working on the native app but I get emails hours late sometimes the next day. I am using the proper server setting per Google:
In the app I have under sync schedule "Auto(when received)" and "notify me when email arrives" checked. The part that makes this worse is I can get it to work on non-stock apps like AquaMail using the SAME settings, but again, I want to use the native app.
Why can't I find those settings on my Samsung s6. It's brand new...
I entered in error a letter in my email address for my Samsung account, now all it does is ask me to sync, which I don't. I have tried the above, but cannot find 'delete Samsung account' anywhere.
2 email accounts; Gmail n Blueyonder Virgin em most often used. Am aware 1 fix is to delete my BY account and set up not clicking on the Premium box. works & em stay in Inbox but email thing is slowed down and not sure I'm "losing" by not clicking Premium setup. Is this problem with disappearing email gonna b a problem for while? Do I contact Virgin Media?
