I am connecting successfully to my pop email account, and am able to send/retrieve without issue. However, as soon as I pull email from the pop account on my home computer, I lose all of the messages on my phone. Isn't there a way to download messages onto my phone and keep them? I don't see an option to flag or save individual messages, or to move them to a folder.

I am on vodafone and my desktop email provider is talktalk. Problem is; I can receive but not send emails and the emails I do get seem to fade away suddenly.I have the social hub whatsit, Gmail and in the accounts section I have 360.com alonside talktalk. I am getting 2 lots of emails therefore side by side as it were.I get a 'cannot connect' message when I try to send.It may be that the phone is not set up correctly but the salesman told me it would auto connect.I would be happy just to have one mail source I could send and receive on but would like to keep talktalk on desktop if possible.

I also tried to change the setting of the email app to save all messages to the SD card, but it would not allow it.
The is another "feature" of the SG-II's built-in email app that infuriates me regularly:Each time when the mail app reloads emails from the server, it deletes all previous mails from the inbox (be they read or unread). Thus, if one accidentally triggers two reload/refreshes in sequence (or has automatic mail downloads enabled) this causes the unread mails from (an) earlier refresh(es) to be silently deleted and to "disappear", before one has a chance to read them! This happened already a couple of times to me and this is really insane

I have tried switching between saving photos to the Phone and Memory Card to no avail. My Picture Gallery, just shows the pictures from my Google+ account and Drop Box not those I�ve taken. I would like to either save this entire string as some sort of file and email it, or, just forward the string in some fashion.Only options I've seen in the realm of FWD were to do one at a time.I tried to even copy/paste however, when I highlight the txt, it automatically stops at the start/ending of each message, which would take awhile.

I often download images from the internet on my phone. I use them for making contact pictures, schoolwork,or even to just to enjoy images as backgrounds on my phone. However my phone is no longer allowing me to download anything! I do what I have always done, I hold down on the image until my phone asks if I want to save it,I hit save, and it says the image is downloading. But when I go to my downloads it says image has failed to download...
I thought maybe it was just from a certain site that my images wouldn't download. But every site I go to the download is failing. Then I thought perhaps somehow I used up my memory. But I have lots of memory left. I tried the simple method of rebooting my phone,and that too has not worked.I don't know what else to do!

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded my wife's phone to the S6 from Verizon Wireless. She had an S4 previously. Problem is with the stock android email app on this phone: On the S4 when she would save an email it would save it to the "Saved email" folder. She could then open the saved emails in that folder and it would have any attachment saved with the email. She could then open the attachment if she wished.
The S6 email app allows her to save an email, but the options menu says it will save the email as a FILE. When accessing these saved emails she discovered only the text of the email was saved. The attachments are not saved with the emails.
This is a completely ridiculous and stupid change by Samsung or Google, whichever is the one who is responsible for that app. I am surprised other users have not complained about this, I did not see anything about this on the 'net when searching.
My wife uses this phone for business and needs to access the attachments in the emails her clients send her. I understand she can save the attachments to the phone, but they go into a location in the "My Files" on the phone. It is a lot easier to access an email from a client, be able to read what they sent, and then open the attachment from within that email. If she has to save the emails and attachments separately there is nothing to link the two together and she would have to do what I think is many unnecessary steps to access both things.
Is there an save as function anywhere to save a ring tone from an email and save it to the correct folder.

However, I tried to access emails today: "No Messages", not even any previous messages which I usually keep back for a week.I deleted the settings and re-added the account, same problem. We're talking 2 seconds from within a message to back out to the conversation...and then another 2 seconds to back out of the conversation to the home screen.
My S2 is only about four or five months old and I recently started noticing that it is not alerting on text messages anymore. I checked the settings and the obvious stuff such as the volume being on and a ringtone for text notification is set. I just went to unlock my phone and I noticed that the phone did not play the click or pop noise as I hit the keys to unlock the phone. Again, the volume was on....maybe this is a larger issue...
