Apr 15, 2012The is another "feature" of the SG-II's built-in email app that infuriates me regularly:Each time when the mail app reloads emails from the server, it deletes all previous mails from the inbox (be they read or unread). Thus, if one accidentally triggers two reload/refreshes in sequence (or has automatic mail downloads enabled) this causes the unread mails from (an) earlier refresh(es) to be silently deleted and to "disappear", before one has a chance to read them! This happened already a couple of times to me and this is really insane

Mar 14, 2012I recently upgraded from the D1 to the D4 and have my Hotmail account set up via Corporate Sync. Incoming messages sync correctly but messages I delete on the phone do not delete from the server. On the D1 the two-way sync worked correctly for emails deleted on the phone but I can't seem to get it to work on the D4.My settings for the corporate sync account are:Username: full @hotmail email addressPassword: passwordServer: m.hotmail.comUse secure connection: yesProxy: blankAnyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

May 3, 2012Now this is driving me insane. In Swype or normal text mode, whenever I attempt to delete the last word the whole word appears to the right of the cursor and it is not possible to remove it. Once the original has been deleted and its unwanted replacement is present in its place, I then tap to the right of the replacement word and delete it, and it replaces itself again. This makes text and email intelligible.

Nov 16, 2011I got my galaxy s2 about a month ago, and it's not rooted When i go to delete SMS threads, the mesages are deleted but the 'shell' of the thread remains in the list of threads. This is whether I use the stock messaging app or GO SMS. I've also tried backing up my text messages, deleting them all, restarting the phone and then restoring the messages but it doesn't work. If I back up the messages and then delete them using SMS cleaner no messages are deleted (even after a phone restart) although SMS cleaner then says there are no messages to find when I try to repeat this step. The shell messages all have the date 1st Jan 1970. Is there a way to fix this without rooting my phone?

Jan 2, 2015So for the past while the stock messaging app has been slow, particularly with one contact. I have near 8000 texts with this person in the thread and that is most obviosly the issue. The thing is, it now won't let me delete the thread.
I've tried deleting from messages screen (clicking the contact), from within the thread (select all>delete) and by using message deletion apps. It always results in either the phone completely freezing or the app becoming impossible to use, forcing me to restart the phone. I've also cleared the app data+cache and disabled/enabled the app.
The only thing now as far as I know is to manually delete the messages in small amounts (anything 100 or more tends to freeze the phone). This is clearly time consuming and annoying. Is there anything else I can try?

And I also tried Dropbox in new galaxy s5, all the photos are doubled. one is original and other one's are duplicate (few Kb's). secondly, drop-box setting is "sync via WI-fi". even if i don't click any new picture or video, its still backing up every-time. at one point it says" up to date" after few hours it syncing again.

When I receive an email via gmail, I swipe down to see who it is from, if it is garbage I hit the "delete" shortcut (without opening the actual email or gmail app). Aug 12, 2015My S5 is getting full and I believe it's my text messages. The stock messaging app just crashes every time I try to load it. When I do get it running, the message cap appears to do nothing to the pre-existing messages. My messages kept getting restored from backup through several phone upgrades, from S2, S3, S4 and now to S5. I have over 10K messages each with several people and multitudes of others.
1. Is there a way to determine exactly how many text messages I have on my phone?
2. Is there a way to delete messages by date, ie all messages prior to say June 2014?
I have less than 1Gb of space left and my phone is slowly dying.
