I have tried everything I know to make email work. Data is on and I can connect to the Internet and use the browser. But email says cannot connect to server on sending and sent email is not received.
Exchange server does not work. Gmail does not work.
If I can connect to a WiFi, then email works. But without WiFi, email does not work at all.
I have a blackberry curve in mumbai which get deactivated as soon as i am on roaming when i use the SIM on other phone it works but not with Curve i have also inter changed some others SIM into my phone but the result is the same.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSpanish Vodafone changed my BB 3 times, 2 9800 and now I have the 9900 but the follwing problem is not solved:When outside of Spain, BBM and emails should work with a WiFi connection, with data roaming disabled. It does not work on the above mentioned BB`s. Wifi itself works fine abroad and there are no problems in Spain. If I change the sim card into my Storm 2, all works fine abroad.

They are really small-- like 15KB/day, but it's nonetheless annoying that my Blackberry Bold 9700 is using data even though I turned it off. I use AT&T. Does anyone know why?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using a Verizon BB 8330 (refurbished) with Appalachian Wireless.My data plan does not work with BIS or BES.App. Wire. shoots me the service books, but says that Verizon has some sort of lock in my phone that won't allow my phone to work online. I contacted verizon and they said they do not use locks on phones. I use opera mini 4.2 to access internet.I can not download any apps ota because I always get the message from blackberry that no browser has been configured.I can not download any apps with DM using an ota downloader because I can not find the 'URL to .jad' files. My phone works great almost any where I go, but my opera internet only works in my home area.Are there any tweaks or hacking methods that I can use to get Bis to accept my data plan?Or just to get opera to work in a roaming area?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.1 I ALWAYS have data roaming turned off as I travel a reasonable amount and don't want the charges. All automatic downloads are also turned off. On a recent holiday to France the phone the phone decided randomly to download my emails at 3pm one Friday afternoon (after we'd been there for almost a week) - this totalled around 3MB and cost me around £10.00 This was the only time the phone did any downloads (it was in my pocket not being used at the time) - so it appears as if randomly for around 10 minutes one wet Friday afternoon the phone decided to ignore the data roaming switch and download my emails (and apparently nothing else). I have read some real horror stories online about this kind of thing but nothing where it just pops on and off.As I travel a reasonable amount I can't afford for this to keep happening.

Im going to the US this summer for a long excursion, i intend to take a large amount of photos on my iphone, i just wondered if i 'places' still worked when 1.data roaming is turned off and 2. if airplane mode was on for obvious reasons i dont want to come back after 3 months and find that i have a phone bill of over a thousand pounds because i left data roaming on.

I can browse internet over WiFi while roaming with my data services set to "On" , "off while roaming" but I have been unable to access email. I was told that this is the way blackberries work - that you must turn on data while roaming and pay the charges if you want to access email. My old Curve didn't work that way so I find it hard to believe that my Bold 9900 does work that way. With my old Curve I simply had to connect to WiFi and voila my emails would come through without adjusting any other settings?

How do I stop this from happening? I saw a similar thread about SGS2's, but I think the locations of settings must have changed a bit because those directions were not completely compatible. I want to make sure I can still view my work email on my phone; just don't want my personal texts going into my work's email/network.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with my galaxy S5 ATT. so im using Netgear wireless n-150 router WNR 1000,its updated,but the problem was before the update and after the update it is the same. i'm using yahoo,gmail and comcast emails.i was able to setup yahoo email without any problems,i can send and receive emails from my phone when connected to wifi and without wifi. but i wasnt able to add to that stock email app my gmail account and comcast while i was connected to my wifi.it gave me error that it wasnt able to connect to the server to verify information.
So I tried to set it up on the mobile network and there was no problem. so now when i connected to wifi in my house i cant receive emails or send them using gmail and comcast email,yahoo account is working fine. i checked all the settings,i reset the router,still nothing.the funny part is if i download gmail app it is working without any problems.and if i connect to any other wireless router,all 3 emails work. also when i connect to my wifi, I'm getting internet and i'm able to open pages without any problems. So it should be some settings in the router probably ...

However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?
I have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.

2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently in the US and would like to use WiFi on my 9700. When I crossed the border I changed my "Data services" option to OFF and "While roaming" option to OFF also. I tried turning on the WiFi and connected to a stable WiFi connection but when I try and access the internet, I get a "Data services are disabled. Go to Mobile Network to enable" error. Would changing the "Data services" option to ON allow me to use WiFi only? I don't want to end up with a massive bill by using roaming data.
