Nov 16, 2012the keypad for my phone is not lighting properly, so it is difficult to see the letters at night. some keys are sticking also. How that is fixed.

Apr 29, 2010Due to its grey colour, the keys don't create a strong contrast and they are hard to read in some conditions when light is coming from a certain direction because the keypad backlight come out to soon. Mar 8, 2012I have a nokia e6, and it is a great phone.After the latest software update, the firmware was updated to Symbian belle which is also great, however there's a big bug concerning BELLE:Sometimes when i unlock my phone, the keypad freezes and i cant type anything (the green, red, menu button all work), the keyboard freezes, so i have to restart the phone so it will function properly.

Aug 4, 2011I have a Nokia E7 product code 059F7J6 (language set 014.002.09.01). Phone language and writing language is set to english but I have a problem with the QWERTY keypad. Keypad special characters (the one in yellow) on the keypad do not correspond with the special characters printed on the screen. Example letter D should print "&" as a special character instead it prints "=". It's the with almost all other characters. I am not sure whether this is a language pack problem or not.

Apr 29, 2010I have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys. When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.
I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.
The problem I have is that I can't select the 'PC Suite' on my phone when I plug it in because it won't let me press any keys. how I can get my computer to recognise that I have the phone connected, without having to select PC Suite on my phone?

Sep 28, 2011I've bought this phone regardless of those bad things that has been mentioned in those threads, because I want it and it relatively cheap anyway.My E6 is almost bug free, yes almost.
1. After unboxing, I update the firmware to v22.
2. Quickly do "Delete Data and Restore".
3. Installing Remind Me.
4. Done.
I did not experienced the self restart, the disfunctional pick call after screen lock, etc. My battery also lasted more than one day, it is almost 1.5 day now with 2 bar left in heavy usage (wifi, bluetooth, angry birds, fruit ninja, messaging, some calls).So, what bugs left?
1. The keypad lights is turned off when the display brightnes is less than the mid point of the slider.
2. The notification lights in the middle of dpad is still barely visible even when I use the Remind Me, faulty design in my opinion.
3. The mail widget sometimes did not update the mails that displayed, even though the mail client is already showing the new mails. I need to remove then add the widget again to fix it or restart the phone..

Oct 15, 2011First week vibration. OK, I'll survive. Hope they will fix that. But I have major problem with mail setup. I tried with push mail (accepting TOS from nokia) and pull (declining TOS from nokia), but created mailboxes never sync properly. There is no automatic sync. Tried with hard restart and reinstalling the software, but nothing, it wont auto sync mailboxes. I have to check mail manually. And today Nokia e6 don't accept lock code which is accurate and worked fine for 1 month since I change it. It just refuse to accept and restart when I put lock code.

One of the most annoying features i found so far is that phone's keypad light doesn't turn on when you want to type the passcode for unlocking the phone. Even if you manage to unlock & want to type an SMS or a browser URL, still the keypad light is OFF. This makes it really annoying & next to impossible to type proper keys in darkness.When you leave the phone without touching any keys till its screen goes little dimmer, then when you press any navigation keys, then the keypad light actually turns on!

Aug 14, 2012I've set up my Gmail account on my E72 device, and it has been working perfectly until yesterday. I would connect when I wanted and it would stay connected and sync emails until I disconnected.
Yesterday I tried connecting again, but nothing happened. When I tried to sync ('send and receive now') it connected for a few minutes while it did the sync, then disconnected again.
I haven't changed anything in my settings to make this happen. I've looked through them again and tried playing around and making some adjustments to see if it makes a difference, but it doesn't. The account just won't connect unless I tell it to sync, and won't stay connected afterward.

Nov 29, 2011i am encountrying a problem regarding my nokia e5 , i've just bought it recently and still left with 8 months warranty. The problem i am facing is, the message shortcut key which is on the keypad of this Phone, is not working properly. When i do long press to open new text msg, it sometimes doesnt opens any thing and sometimes even open messaging and then close it. At a certain angle i have to apply a little more force in order to operate it properly. wheather its a hardware problem or any sort of dust particles have emerged inside the keypad resulting in loose contact of the button and the motherboard.

Dec 20, 2013where the capacitive button LEDs seem to randomly turn on/off, or don't turn on in the dark, or seem to flicker for no apparent reason? We had the same issue with our 1020. It appears to be directly related to battery saver mode in settings. When we turn battery saver off, the LEDs seem to work perfectly. When battery saver is on, we experience all the above strange issues. We also have a 920, and battery saver mode does not affect the LEDs on the 920 at all, hence why we're hesitant to say with100% authority that this is the issue with the 1020.

Last night before sundown the icons were not lit. It was too dark to see them without being lit. It also depended on the position. I do not know if this was due to internal position sensors or just getting different levels of light from the light sensors. I called Verizon Tech Support and they said this was normal. Aug 18, 2011i installed the latest update 071.004 on e72, now text message doesn't work properly. i have to switch off and on once to recieve the msgs. most of the msgs i send will go n sit in outbox. i have to manually select each one and select send option in outbox to send them. Also found problems with bluetooth. send via bluetooth option doesn't work. it doesn't even search for the the devices available.I am also getting 'memory full-close some applications' error in messaging and also in the browsers.my phone has about 191Mb of free space and mem card(8gb) 5.6gb free.

Jun 4, 2010I got my new e72 (fw up to date 031.023)a couple of days ago and i already found a HUGE problem with the keypad. The keys which have a number (R,T,Y,F,G,H,V,B, N and M) do not work properly!
I found that when typing at a regular speed these keys do not get registered all the time. At first i thought i was nuts and that i just "havn't gotten used to the phone yet" probably to satisfy my emotions of just having bought a completly new phone, having "upgraded" from the e71. For instance.. Without thinking please try typing these words, as you would normally with two thumbs:
I also found when the words start with a number key, everything is okay. But when you press those keys in the middle of a word, or at the end of the word they don't get registered very often (this does not happen with the e71)
BB Curve :: Keypad Won't Work Properly On 'A'
Jul 19, 2011i'm using a curve 8520 on 0S5.My letter 'A' in the keyboard suddenly won't work properly.. Just a soft touch and it would appear automatically... in Uppercase. Because of this, i am having a hard time when typing. i copy paste the lower case 'a' so typing would be easy.Also, since the 'lock' is also in that key, my phone would always lock automatically and with that... my phone seems to go 'off' and i would have to longpress any key so it would come alive again.i tried the application clean-up thing in the desktop manager as @BlackberryHelp tweeted me when i asked them about this but still there are no changes.. i also tried putting a tissue in the back of the metal plate thing.
