I was wondering: on my Elm all keys are almost silent. No clicking soundm which I like. Except for the * key (lowest key on the left which you use for locking the phone for instance), which makes an audible click, unlike all other keys. Is this normal? For me, they could/should be all silent!

Some of the key pad numbers on my phone do not work properly. The 1 does nothing. The 3 shortcuts to the camera and the 6 defaults back to the wallpaper. I have tried the master reset and this has not helped.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy keypad started acting weird today, the 4 key kept mapping to something in the music player and at least the 0 key spazzes and enters more than once even if I only press it once (haven't tried the other keys for that problem). The phone is about 6 months old from AT&T and is flashed to use the Taiwan firmware, any ideas if the problem might be software or hardware?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Aino phone came up with a update today and once it had finished it turned its self off and back on i put all my passwords in and it just turned itself off, now when i turn it on it comes up with the sony ericsson start up, then just flashes a light on and off about every min, its not the battery because i put it in my patners phone and turned his on and works fine, sum one please help optus couldn't and sony ericsson is closed.

Everything seemed to work ok until i have tested the implemented facebook application it automatically checked all the profile in a rush from start to the end (normally it goes profile by profile automatically, but if you tilt the phone left or right it goes one profile left or right). I went to the service menu and i saw the coordinates are not zero when the phone is standing on the edge... i tried to tilt the phone in such way to find the "zero" and I did, but in that case the phone must be tilted a bit backwards and on the diagonal edge of the phone. I also used the SE "Water Level" app and it showed the same result, mine accelerometer is NOT working properly. I searched some pages if there is any way to calibrate it, but found nothing. Does anybody knows if it's possible to calibrate it ? Otherwise I will have to take the phone back to the store.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI got a new Elm (T-Mobile Germany branded) some days ago and after trying all functions (no problems found), I had it updated to the latest firmware R7CA061 with SEUS. (I've found some threads concerning Elm and GPS-problems in this forum, but they weren't connected to R7CA061). After the update, GPS does not work properly any more, or in other words: it does not really work at all! Neither Assisted GPS (I only tried A-GPS using WIFI) nor unassisted GPS does work. I do not get a lock on my location with Google Maps, also after waiting for more than 10 minutes.
My GPS-position is "jumping around" on the map about one kilometer around my actual position. It's completely inaccurate! I have the feeling that it's even getting worse after some minutes. I also tried the GPS test in the service menu: doesn't work! Switched GPS off and on again: doesn't work! Tried AGPS and GPS: doesn't work! Completely shut down and switch the Elm on again: doesn't work. After reinstalling the latest firmare using SEUS once again - GPS works (assisted and unassisted) and also the GPS test from the service menu works properly. But then, after some minutes, GPS seems to fade away again somehow.
What do I have to do to send my phone to the Sony Ericsson repair shop because I just bought it and it's seriously messed up. Lagging, freezing, restarting. Buttons work whenever they decide to and a signal problem but I'm not sure if that's the phone or where I live.

And about 4 days ago, I just get dead button on C (for erase character) and the next day it just get worse. Another dead buttons on left button (option), Green button (call) and Red button (ended call). Not sure why it happen.
I found in the internet forum for the same problem but not solved. Also I have friend with same phone type and problem, bring to Sony Ericsson service and they have fix it. But the problem just back in next few days. They said the problem is on the flexible. I can't make a call with it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Sony Ericsson Cybershot C510a was working fine for last 6/7 months.I upgraded to latest firmware 3 months back.& it was working fine. Recently I cant use the phone because: It's keypad. It acts interestingly:
Case 01: After making the phone ON, 40/50 seconds it remains OK, but when I push the down arrow in menu list or in phonebook, It keeps going down & down.
Case 02: when I click on call end button to close anything, it closes that but opens the phonbook.
Case 03: After few minutes, it's keypad freezes/hangs & display shows nothing. I cant bring back the display(Pls note: at that time, when I open the camera slider, display cames again). When a call comes, display comes but I cant receive the call.
I tried master rest, Memory card format, Update service successfully, but problem starts after few minutes.
My K850i has brod (vibrates and blue ring & keypad only lightup - it repeats these). I upload /boot folder from backup, but problem same then I reflash main, fs, finalize with a2uploader, but problem still same. Phone not dropped, no sign of hardware fault.

I'm currently having a problem most of the time whenever I move the joystick downwards on my K800i phone, instead of scrolling down a menu, my phone thinks I've pressed select and pushed the joystick button. This is particularly irritating especially when I'm writing texts. Using the predictive text option and when I'm trying to scroll down in my address book to either call someone and my phone thinks I've pressed 'select' and calls somebody, I didn't want to call and sending somebody a text. In the meantime, I'm just moving the joystick upwards whenever I have to scroll through menus.
I've had my phone for about 2 1/2 years now and it was perfectly fine until now. I also have another minor problem which occurs rarely. Sometimes my phone is locked and when I get a text, The phone display stays dark and the phone doesn't function for me to unlock the phone. I have to open and shut the camera shutter for the display to light up the display and for the phone to function.
I can't use File Manager properly on W508a. When I press Options the only menu that comes up is for shortcuts! I want to transfer files from the phone to the card. Also I can't use the walkman function for files on the card, so I have to keep the phone open to listen to files on the card. The only way I can move files around is by doing it on the computer - which defeats the purpose. If I press options in any mode (I have just found this out as I have only just got this phone) the only menu I get is Shortcuts. Is this my fault or is it the phone?

Sometimes the singer is away and I can only hear the Background music or the music is only on one ear. I've tested the cable if the problem is there, but no it is ok. And the charger and the PC-cable are working without faults too. So there must be a Defect at the phone, I think. I want to send my W760i to Sony Ericsson, because I've still warranty, but I can't find any address.

It has performed a sync today but only the contacts have done this successfully along with one event on my calander. On my phone, I have a message stating that 'sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly'. The problem is that it has said this for around four weeks. Says "Communication error. Please try again or turn off WiFi or contact support provider" the Wifi is def turned off - Orange have tried to fix it by sending me new settings and then turning off phone etc though not worked. View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with the GPS on my vivaz.The problem is that it seems to be having trouble finding the satellites and at best only picks up one, giving me a message that says "GPS works poorly indoors and in enclosed areas".I have had the phone for about two months now and it did work perfectly at first, I have fitted a zagg invisible skin to the phone and cannot recall if I had used the GPS with it fitted but have tried with the back cover removed and the invisible skin peeled back where the GPS sensor is located but to no avail. Can anyone help or is it a warrenty issue?

I found that when typing at a regular speed these keys do not get registered all the time. At first i thought i was nuts and that i just "havn't gotten used to the phone yet" probably to satisfy my emotions of just having bought a completly new phone, having "upgraded" from the e71. For instance.. Without thinking please try typing these words, as you would normally with two thumbs:
I also found when the words start with a number key, everything is okay. But when you press those keys in the middle of a word, or at the end of the word they don't get registered very often (this does not happen with the e71)
i'm using a curve 8520 on 0S5.My letter 'A' in the keyboard suddenly won't work properly.. Just a soft touch and it would appear automatically... in Uppercase. Because of this, i am having a hard time when typing. i copy paste the lower case 'a' so typing would be easy.Also, since the 'lock' is also in that key, my phone would always lock automatically and with that... my phone seems to go 'off' and i would have to longpress any key so it would come alive again.i tried the application clean-up thing in the desktop manager as @BlackberryHelp tweeted me when i asked them about this but still there are no changes.. i also tried putting a tissue in the back of the metal plate thing.

When i enter the current status: after around 3 or 5 m. it finds around 3 or 4 satellites and they are located on the top of the screen 2 right and 2 left , they are outside the circle. before updating it could find 1 or 2 max. at same locations , but the new soft finds 4 and faster the old soft was R1FA035 too so it is always searching and never connected.
