Jan 12, 2010My C901 camera doesn't work anymore. When I open the cam cover it just shows cyber-shot logo and goes back to the menu. can some body help me? This happened after I placed in a flash menu file. Placing the flash menu file was a success but when I used the camera it didn't work now. I just bought this. I tried removing the flash menu file, turned the phone on and off, made the latest update, and master reset.

Jan 17, 2010I have my 3 y.o. K750i here. My problem is the camera button is not working anymore. I tried taking off the casing and adjusting the button but still the same. What it does is you cannot go to autofocus then take the shot.It will just go back to the original window. Any help guys? And if I'm planning for a replacement. Can you give me suggestions? I want a simple phone like the K750i but has all the features.

Aug 12, 2010I bought a Sony Ericsson Elm on June 28, 2010. Some of the pictures taken by the camera have a red line (and sometimes another blue line can be seen) in the center. Does this depend on the lighting conditions? The line seems to appear whenever the focus is on a dark object and can also been slightly seen in lighter areas. The lines appear continuously while shooting a video. And also, when I was shooting a video the other day, the phone just froze after I stopped recording. I had to remove the battery manually in order to get the phone working. Is there some problem with my mobile or are there any adjustments to be made to make those red lines disappear from pictures?

Jul 27, 2010i bought my Aino for just 1month plus, and just yesterday, when trying to take a photo, I realised there is no "click" sound and when i proceed to take a 2nd photo, it hangs. only when i shut off and on the phone again, it goes back to normal, but after a while, when trying to take a photo again, the same thing happens and it hangs. does anyone have this problem? i called the sony erricssion call centre, but they just tell me to do a master reset everytime i ask them abt any problems, even when i encounter no ringing sound when sms comes in, the call centre aso tell me do a master reset.

But the video mode it safe the clip taken. My memory card size 2G still not 50% full. Now I only can take video shot but not still picture. Phone call, sms, internet radio are in good condition. Now i am interested to mod camera driver.So can anyone give me tutorials for developing code for camera driver.I am a starter in programming and i know basics in assembly and c and java.I think all the modders are writing codes depending on hardware.What i understand after editing the driver in notepad is that you are giving values and changing them for every mode (twilight,auto,document etc.)Even if it's time taking i want to learn these things and i am interested in it.So can anyone send me the link for tutorials.It will be a great help for me.

Mar 9, 2010I have a 2 year old k850i phone which was never a perfect phone like my k800i but that I liked a lot. A few months ago the loudspeaker stopped working and then the screen just a few days ago. So I ordered a replacement for both things in ebay and I opened it to replace it. The ringer now works perfectly. The screen however is very dark (low contrast) probably due to the low quality. No complaints here. However, everytime I start the camera in picture or video mode (not replay) the shutter opens and the phone freezes. The typical camera display comes up but no image (from the lens) is displayed. Do you have any idea of what I may have done during my "surgery" to the phone?
I have tried reinstalling the firmware with SEUS with no luck. I also reopened it again and all connections seem ok.
Sony Ericsson :: K850 Changing Camera Driver?
Mar 26, 2010i am having trouble changing the camera driver of my sony ericsson K850. I am trying to get WitchKing's CyberShot Xperience 8.3. I am using a2 uploader and whenever i place the camdriver0.dat into the ifs/settings/camera folder, i close down a2uploader by clicking shutdown, then when i turn my phone on after reinserting the battery i can tell the actual camera image is different, but the menu is still the same. I cant go to manual focus or any of the features that cybershot xperience offers. I have also tried replacing the en.lng file into the correct folder (forgot which one it was, but I know it was exactly the folder the tuto told me to go into). Can anyone please help me? I really want the manual focus.

Apr 1, 2010I've been using the Satio for the last months and I've been happy with it. It has an overall good build quality, nice UI and and impressive camera, even though the lack of sharpness and those boring smooth edges. However, I was flirting for some time the Nokia E72 and I decided to give it a try. I enjoy its build quality, size and qwerty. The only drawback in the swap would be the camera, or so I thought (the xenon flash is, obviously).
Before I sell the Satio, I had to do a photo comparison! And well, this comparison seems to be pointless and I'm sure everyone thinks that the Satio will perform much better. So did I until I came home, gathered the pics and started comparing them. Before the comparison please note that:
- The first is from Satio
- Full auto in all photos
- Satio photos: 12MP
- E72 photos: 5MP
- Flash: Off
- Image stablizer: Off
- All photos were taken with my hands as still as I could. Different shutter speeds in the same light conditions may cause blurriness and I'll also consider that since it may be important for the photo quality.
- Nokia E72 does not have lens protector and I just cleaned its' lenses a couple times during this. Its photos may suffer the consequences of some dust or grease in the optics.
- Satio is updated to the latest generic firmware
- E72 was not updated yet and is branded to T-Mobile.
What do you think? Is there a 7mp size difference here? Curiously, in some cases, the E72 photos became with a bigger size than the Satio's. You can check all the comparison photos I took here. In these photos, the "s" means that they are from Satio and the "e" that they are from the E72. In the underscored photos "e0001_1" I've increased the sharpness level to "hard".
