View 14 Repliesi am having trouble changing the camera driver of my sony ericsson K850. I am trying to get WitchKing's CyberShot Xperience 8.3. I am using a2 uploader and whenever i place the camdriver0.dat into the ifs/settings/camera folder, i close down a2uploader by clicking shutdown, then when i turn my phone on after reinserting the battery i can tell the actual camera image is different, but the menu is still the same. I cant go to manual focus or any of the features that cybershot xperience offers. I have also tried replacing the en.lng file into the correct folder (forgot which one it was, but I know it was exactly the folder the tuto told me to go into). Can anyone please help me? I really want the manual focus.

I want to change its camera driver. But when I try do so using latest a2 uploader it gives error in the beginning of phone identification. Screenshot is attached below.
I have used this a2uploader for my C510 with red CID and it works well but K510i doesn't do. Please tell me what is this problem - "loader on loader" bad result 00/00?
I was testing and comparing modded and original cam driver when find this bug (or i think its a bug.)I sett focus to infinity, then change the scene to document.
the scene is change focus to macro, but it didn't work!the focus is still infinite.although macro mode is displayed on screen.i try other scene (portrait, night portrait) its change the focus to auto. but focus is still infinite!found this on original driver.I'm trying to fixed it by looking at the code, but i dont know what line to add.
Can someone change this cam driver to *Normal Flash NO FORCED! and RER Flash FORCED? *If its posible to add Focus manual just only for the video record whould be nice!

I was thinking if it possible to make 2 sim card work on the k850? I remember in the past there was a small connection cable between the 2 sim card or something like that on nokia phones.can it be on k850? And if yes.dos it need a application or spicale softwear for that?

I've been searching about these drivers, I did find some great drivers from modders like number 1 and more. but, my concern is, I still don't know the specs of the phone i'll be getting since the owner barely uses the phone and has no idea about modding. I'll post additional info once I get the phone. I would like to improve the camera (for pictures), video (can we upgrade it to QVGA instead? and 35fps if its good), i also would like to change the UI to mimic the k810i's and lastly the sound driver so that it would be louder. If there's anything better to modd for my phone, would really appreciate.

There seems to be a problem either with installing the drivers for the device or the device not being recognized because it "doesn't have a signature".?! It can be recognized and connects properly when in USB mode, which is strange, but it no longer has a 'phone mode' option, only a 'PC mode' option. The phone works fine by itself but I need to restore all my data to it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software many times and checked my USB ports and cable. Any other ideas for me to try?

I previously had My Satio drivers along with the latest version of PC Suite installed and working just fine with the 32-bit version of Windows 7. But now when I use the 64-bit version the application installs all the drivers and even loads. However, when I connect my Satio via USB, it gives driver error (unrecognized). It seems SE didn't provide support for the 64-bit version OS.

This is quite uncomfortable for me, so i look into the codes and edit several lines. Finally I've managed to solve the problem. Now you don't have to switch to infinity mode to use manual focus. You can use the code on your own driver with proper credit to me. Is it the lines that you need to change. Find the lines that control the focus operation (property 10) Change the code for this property with this.
First we need to know which property that we use to turn on the manual focus. (I'm using cybershot experience 8 for example)

I use K850i to test this code but it should work on others.
I have tried reading through the forums, and have found that i will need new camera driver and a music driver, for better experience, than i have now. I bought mainly the phone because of the "Threaded SMS" and the Xenon flash. So far i have tested the phone indoor, with the flash, and i'm not really that impressed with the pictures My old C902, is almost as good. So i guess a new camera driver will help?
