Aug 25, 2010How can I sync the calender and contact in my at&t C905a to the new at&t Xperia X10? On AT&T's site,it says to use PC Suite,which I already have in my notebook pc to back up and sync with Outlook in my pc. Is this true? And why can't I sync using SE Sync? Is it because the phone (C905a) is locked out?

May 21, 2010I am trying to debrand my SE phone, using this article as a guide: http://www.associatedcontent.[....]nd_a_sonyericsson.html?cat=15. I installed all the necessary programs and drivers, created an .xml file (for generic American version), transferred it to phone, tried SE Update Service, no go. Says I already have the newest software. I tried creating a new .xml file, but this time using Western Europe instead of America. Still, Update Service says my software is new enough. Then I tried going back and creating a generic American .xml and using Update Service to reinstall my OS, but that only reinstalled the old and customized AT&T OS which is what I'm trying to get rid of. So my questions are: 1) I was sort of reluctant to debrand in the first place, but what is the worst thing that can happen if debranding fails? 2) Is there some other CDA number I can use (instead of America/W. Europe) and still be able to use my phone with my service provider? Perhaps Central or Eastern Europe?

May 30, 2010I'm thinking about buying a C905a and debranding it. But before I do I was looking to get some info on tethering. Currently I use a v3xx and tethering is easy has hell with my macbook. Just plug it to the laptop via usb and click "connect". Can anyone comment on the tethering experience with a C905a? Any info would be of great help.

Mar 20, 2010I really love my C905a, and I was even thinking about buying a backup. I take a Lot of pictures, and having a cell camera of this quality is a must for me now, and it must also have xenon flash, and also work on AT&T 3G in USA. Do you guys know of any comparable phones in the pipeline with the camera specs of the C905 that will work on AT&T? I would even consider the Satio, but I hear it won't work on AT&T in USA. Is there anything else coming? or should I hurry up and buy a backup C905a before they are really hard to find?

So I want to connect my Phone which supports WiFi to my Laptop which is connected to the internet through wireless. I've tried to look online and so far there seems to be 2 possible ways.
Ad-Hoc: I tried creating a Ad Hoc connection via Network and Sharing Center>Set Up A New Connection Or Network>Set Up A Wireless Ad-Hoc (Computer to Computer) Network on Windows 7. When I searched for WiFi connections on my phone I did find the network I created but I couldnt go on the internet. BTW, when I create a AdHoc network, even my laptop is not connected to internet because I can only connect to one at a time meaning that I cant connect to my wireless.
Bluetooth: I believe that my laptop (Alienware M17x) has bluetooth. But I never really used it. Anyone know how to get internet on my phone via bluetooth?
Side Question: BTW, is there anyway to integrate maps into Google Maps 2.3.x? What about street view? Or can I somehow make Google Maps download the maps when I am connected through WiFi and store them so I can see them later.
Sony Ericsson :: Debranded C905a - Can No Longer Receive Calls
Mar 27, 2010I just got a AT&T C905a today. The first thing I did was debrand it using WotanServer.com.
The debranding went perfectly, not any problems to report.
But afterwards, I can no longer receive calls. I can make them just fine, but if someone tries to call me they get an automated message saying I am unavailable. Also if I call voicemail it says my mailbox is not setup.
The AT&T rep at the store did successfully call my phone before I left. So it was working before the debranding.
Sony Ericsson :: C905a Would Debranding (AT&T) Cause Phone To Loose Reception Strength?
Jun 29, 2010I recently debranded my C905a and I want to know if anyone knows for a fact that if by doing so I have reduced my phone's ability to mainain a decent reception signal. If I remeber correctly, I had the same problem before I debranded. I've called Sony Ericsson about the low reception strength and they told me that it was a network problem. I know that is not true b/c before the C905a, I was using a Nokia 2610 (a cheapie until I could upgrade) and that phone always had a signal virtually anywhere and I can count on 1 hand how many dropped calls I had using that phone. I do live out in a semi-rural area but, my mother has a Nokia 6555 (I live w/ her) and she does not have the problem with dropped calls like I do. But, w/ the C905a, I have to put the phone on speaker 3/4 of the time b/c when I put the phone to my ear, it simply looses all reception. The closer to the city I get, the reception problem becomes less an issue.

I've been searching about these drivers, I did find some great drivers from modders like number 1 and more. but, my concern is, I still don't know the specs of the phone i'll be getting since the owner barely uses the phone and has no idea about modding. Aug 24, 2010After recently updating my W705 I cannot get the PC suite to recognize it. There seems to be a problem either with installing the drivers for the device or the device not being recognized because it "doesn't have a signature".?! It can be recognized and connects properly when in USB mode, which is strange, but it no longer has a 'phone mode' option, only a 'PC mode' option. The phone works fine by itself but I need to restore all my data to it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software many times and checked my USB ports and cable. Any other ideas for me to try?

Aug 23, 2010I previously had My Satio drivers along with the latest version of PC Suite installed and working just fine with the 32-bit version of Windows 7. But now when I use the 64-bit version the application installs all the drivers and even loads. However, when I connect my Satio via USB, it gives driver error (unrecognized). It seems SE didn't provide support for the 64-bit version OS.
