Sony Ericsson :: Debranded C905a - Can No Longer Receive Calls

I just got a AT&T C905a today. The first thing I did was debrand it using WotanServer.com.
The debranding went perfectly, not any problems to report.
But afterwards, I can no longer receive calls. I can make them just fine, but if someone tries to call me they get an automated message saying I am unavailable. Also if I call voicemail it says my mailbox is not setup.
The AT&T rep at the store did successfully call my phone before I left. So it was working before the debranding.
Pretty new to the forums and in need of some assistance. Recently and successfully flashed+debranded SE w705a. Made sure to backup contacts and restore them, no problems there. Backed up sms also by using the move to mem card option as well. As I moved them there I assume they are alright. Tje problem is however with the new FS and whatnot that came with the flashing, when I try to move them back onto the phone, they are not detected on the memory card. When I moved them to the mem card the phone gave some message in regards to losing them if you update software or something to that effect. I tried SE suite to see if I could grab them off the memory card but to no avail. Is there another program or something that I can use to transfer the sms back onto the phone?When I flashed I used the guide here: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1221924 -- using FS for Hong Kong also.
Just wanted to know what web browser everybody is using on their c905a? Is it MediaNet,UC Browser, or Where (thats all I know of) Which one works best for you?
How can I sync the calender and contact in my at&t C905a to the new at&t Xperia X10? On AT&T's site,it says to use PC Suite,which I already have in my notebook pc to back up and sync with Outlook in my pc. Is this true? And why can't I sync using SE Sync? Is it because the phone (C905a) is locked out?
I am trying to debrand my SE phone, using this article as a guide: http://www.associatedcontent.[....]nd_a_sonyericsson.html?cat=15. I installed all the necessary programs and drivers, created an .xml file (for generic American version), transferred it to phone, tried SE Update Service, no go. Says I already have the newest software. I tried creating a new .xml file, but this time using Western Europe instead of America. Still, Update Service says my software is new enough. Then I tried going back and creating a generic American .xml and using Update Service to reinstall my OS, but that only reinstalled the old and customized AT&T OS which is what I'm trying to get rid of. So my questions are: 1) I was sort of reluctant to debrand in the first place, but what is the worst thing that can happen if debranding fails? 2) Is there some other CDA number I can use (instead of America/W. Europe) and still be able to use my phone with my service provider? Perhaps Central or Eastern Europe?
is it possible to get wifi on my c905a without debranding it? I thought i heard somewhere that just downloading opera's mini browser allows you to use wifi to surf the web?
I'm thinking about buying a C905a and debranding it. But before I do I was looking to get some info on tethering. Currently I use a v3xx and tethering is easy has hell with my macbook. Just plug it to the laptop via usb and click "connect". Can anyone comment on the tethering experience with a C905a? Any info would be of great help.
Can anyone teach me or give me a good guide on debranding a Rogers SE C905a? Cause most of the ones available are either for AT&T or outdated. I want one that is most updated.
Does anyone know if the theme creator app. that you can download from the site is compatible with the C905a. I have windows vista and I could not download my theme that I had created either by USB connection or Bluetooth.
I really love my C905a, and I was even thinking about buying a backup. I take a Lot of pictures, and having a cell camera of this quality is a must for me now, and it must also have xenon flash, and also work on AT&T 3G in USA. Do you guys know of any comparable phones in the pipeline with the camera specs of the C905 that will work on AT&T? I would even consider the Satio, but I hear it won't work on AT&T in USA. Is there anything else coming? or should I hurry up and buy a backup C905a before they are really hard to find?
If I enter the C905a menu (right, star, left-left, star, right)I can not activate USB Charging.it is stuck in the OFF position.My phone will however charge when plugged into my PC by does not charge when plugged into my car.any idea how to change this?
My C905*A* Stay with Me, but, I don't know. I can De-branding C905a To C905 SW R1FA035? Don't have Any Errors? I Want Put New Driver's, Patch's and Elf Loader In my C905. But I Don't know About The Risk to De-branding The "A" to "I" Or C905 Only.
I just started having problems with the camera in my C905; all the pictures now look blurry, out of focus. The phone was purchased in Dec.2009,and I have contacted SE CSR and will be shipping the phone in for repair. What causes this condition?
As of now I have the silver C905a for At&t. I'm getting kinda tired of the silver and am pretty sure I'm gonna get the black C905a housing. Curious to see if anybody else has done this for their C905a?
Some Background Information -Rogers Sony Ericsson C905a With No Data Plan/Data Blocked -Alienware M17x So I want to connect my Phone which supports WiFi to my Laptop which is connected to the internet through wireless. I've tried to look online and so far there seems to be 2 possible ways.
Ad-Hoc: I tried creating a Ad Hoc connection via Network and Sharing Center>Set Up A New Connection Or Network>Set Up A Wireless Ad-Hoc (Computer to Computer) Network on Windows 7. When I searched for WiFi connections on my phone I did find the network I created but I couldnt go on the internet. BTW, when I create a AdHoc network, even my laptop is not connected to internet because I can only connect to one at a time meaning that I cant connect to my wireless.
Bluetooth: I believe that my laptop (Alienware M17x) has bluetooth. But I never really used it. Anyone know how to get internet on my phone via bluetooth? Side Question: BTW, is there anyway to integrate maps into Google Maps 2.3.x? What about street view? Or can I somehow make Google Maps download the maps when I am connected through WiFi and store them so I can see them later.
I recently debranded my C905a and I want to know if anyone knows for a fact that if by doing so I have reduced my phone's ability to mainain a decent reception signal. If I remeber correctly, I had the same problem before I debranded. I've called Sony Ericsson about the low reception strength and they told me that it was a network problem. I know that is not true b/c before the C905a, I was using a Nokia 2610 (a cheapie until I could upgrade) and that phone always had a signal virtually anywhere and I can count on 1 hand how many dropped calls I had using that phone. I do live out in a semi-rural area but, my mother has a Nokia 6555 (I live w/ her) and she does not have the problem with dropped calls like I do. But, w/ the C905a, I have to put the phone on speaker 3/4 of the time b/c when I put the phone to my ear, it simply looses all reception. The closer to the city I get, the reception problem becomes less an issue.
Recently my c905a has become unable to playback certain videos, the last 20 or so i have taken. The videos can be played immediately after recording, but later if attempted have a broken film icon instead of thumbnail and if tried to play the message "Currently Unavailable appears". This is not consistent however, a few videos in the middle of the 20 are playable. Their sizes are all varying, settings on each video are the same. I thought that they were possibly not playable on my phone so i moved them onto my computer - same issue, E.M. Total Player fails to open the videos. I hope someone can help me with this. I was counting on these 8.1 MP to record some good material for an oral presentation and final presentation for the chinese class i'm taking right now. I picked up great material, the base of the two projects. These projects are 40% of my grade and need to be presented in 2 and 3 days! How can i salvage these videos? Every video lists appropriate size, what else should i look for? How should i go about fixing this?
I have a c905 and the wifi was working perfectly for the first couple of months but it has stopped connecting to my router (it will connect when it feels like it but most of the time it will not).
I have a problem with my W995 mobile. The following happened just recently. Photos on the phone suddenly vanished for whatever reason and now photos taken are no longer stored. What might have happened and who can give me any advice what to do.
i'm very familiar with the W715 and have been using one for the past 18 months and made good use of the AGPS feature - very fast fix times even indoors. Suddenly I now find that this phone is behaving as if AGPS is disabled in the menu. Master reset/Reflashing using SEUS and redownloaded my internet settings has not fixed the problem and even Vodafone UK have now provided me with a warranty replacement handset which performs exactly the same?! The world icon comes up for 5 seconds upon loading 'status info' just the satellites do not appear within the circles as they used to - instead they line up at the left/right of the screen until orbital data is downloaded via the strongest satellite instead of from the AGPS server. More worryingly my brand new W995 on O2 performs exactly the same which leads me to believe this is a SE problem and their rubbish about sending phone in for repair has really got me confused - how exactly will this help me? To clarify both handsets GPS chips work fine and will locate but the old slow way as if I don't have a data connection on the phone. But I do and can browse websites and check email so its not that. I've got Vodafone offering to send me yet another handset as their only solution, O2 I have a couple of days left to return under distance selling regulations but what I really want is AGPS working as it did before Called SE helpline today and they are the most unhelpful bunch i've ever dealt with. Telling me because the GPS works its not a problem, they totally ignore my comments that its not working WITH assistance. They also tell me they don't run any assistance server yet they must because you cannot change it in the settings anywhere and swapping network SIM cards used to be fine as long at there was a data profile setup.
Now two networks, two phones and no GPS assistance on either. Can anyone have a check on their handset and see if AGPS is working correctly or has a server gone down somewhere? Very lost and don't want to get blagged again when this technicial person rings me back to explain a bit better why my phone is OK and I just don't know what i'm talking about.
Mine is 8 months old and has been starting to turn off on its on own alot, started at first to be every now and then but since monday it has been happening everytime i go to send a txt or when i get half way through a text.I know thats a pretty bad fault but what would cause it? Any way to make my phone live longer as it seems it only has a little bit of life left in it? It always says after it 'inactive sim' or 'insert sim', it has been very well looked after, never dropped from a distance or been near water.
I recently had to format my W995 as it was getting sluggish. It used to take a really long time to load once the phone was switched off. (It could be due to the mods though. The only two mods were Rodriguez' HDX 3.0 cam driver and LightEffects V3.) And finally, the other day, the phone turned unresponsive and I had to restart the phone but it would just show the standby screen and the screen would just turn off and turn on again. I had to flash it with SEUS and it works well now. My only issue is that Opera Mini 5 (and the versions before that i.e. 4.2) simply doesn't work over wifi. It now only works using my 3G connection. It used to work perfectly fine before flashing. The Netfront browser does work over wifi and I've even manually entered the IP address, DNS, Gateway etc. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong? Local connections are enabled and other programs can connect over wifi.
ive tried all i can to get it to work it, it tends to download when it wants but never when i push the download button. it just says downloading but never finishes?
