I just started having problems with the camera in my C905; all the pictures now look blurry, out of focus. The phone was purchased in Dec.2009,and I have contacted SE CSR and will be shipping the phone in for repair. What causes this condition?
View 6 RepliesToday I bought the NEW SE C903. I feel that the picture I took look so weird. After I compare with the picture they put in the forum here are totally different. Especially when Zoom In the Photo. My Picture look blur and something wrong. But the Boss said to me, this is normal/same with all 5MP phone. Here are my Picture.

Whats the deal with this? When I go from "taking picture" to "viewing pictures" to "filming" etc. the camera freezes in an in zoomed blurry picture. I left it to the store and they send it to service. I then got the answer it was unrepairable. A NEW phone was sent to me.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 1020 seems to have a problem when set to infinity focus...the pictures end up a bit blurry. The strange thing is that on autofocus the picture is perfectly sharp...which makes me think this is a software issue rather than hardware.
I uploaded 2 pictures to show you the issue. Both were taken on a tripod and 2 seconds self timer to avoid handshake. ISO was set at 100 and everything else left on auto except for focus mode.

I installed all the necessary programs and drivers, created an .xml file (for generic American version), transferred it to phone, tried SE Update Service, no go. Says I already have the newest software. I tried creating a new .xml file, but this time using Western Europe instead of America. Still, Update Service says my software is new enough. Then I tried going back and creating a generic American .xml and using Update Service to reinstall my OS, but that only reinstalled the old and customized AT&T OS which is what I'm trying to get rid of. So my questions are: 1) I was sort of reluctant to debrand in the first place, but what is the worst thing that can happen if debranding fails? 2) Is there some other CDA number I can use (instead of America/W. Europe) and still be able to use my phone with my service provider? Perhaps Central or Eastern Europe?

Currently I use a v3xx and tethering is easy has hell with my macbook. Just plug it to the laptop via usb and click "connect". Can anyone comment on the tethering experience with a C905a? View 1 Replies View Relatedfor some new Sony Ericsson phones (I know the W995 has this problem for sure) there is no option to turn off the camera sound or the focus sound, even when silent mode is on. Here I am going to guide you through a solution to overcome this.What we are going to do is replace the sound files for the camera sound and the focus sound with a sound which is silent, using A2uploader.
1. Download this .rar file I have uploaded with 3 sound files, namely camerafocus.3gp, camerashutter2.3gp and camerashutter2_rer.3gp
2. Currently you can choose the following sounds
1. Camera shutter
2. Bear can opening
3.Tennis ball
4. Laser
The files in the .rar have been created to replace the Beer can opening sound, however if you want to keep this one, then change the number on the end e.g to replace the Laser sound the two files would be camerashutter4.3gp and camerashutter4_rer.3gp Although please note to replace the Camera shutter sound the number on the end is not 1, but is no number at all e.g. camerashutter.3gp and camerashutter_rer.3gp3.Now you connect your phone to A2uploader (see Tutorial on main website for how to do this) and go to tpa/presets/system/sound and drop all 3 files into this folder. If you want to keep the sound you're replacing right click on it and click 'read' this will create a folder ph_out with this file in it.4.Shut down A2uploader, switch on phone and bobs your uncle!You can also add other sounds, I created a Gavin and Stacey one here but I will happily accept requests for others.Hope this helps! I take a Lot of pictures, and having a cell camera of this quality is a must for me now, and it must also have xenon flash, and also work on AT&T 3G in USA. Do you guys know of any comparable phones in the pipeline with the camera specs of the C905 that will work on AT&T? I would even consider the Satio, but I hear it won't work on AT&T in USA. Is there anything else coming? or should I hurry up and buy a backup C905a before they are really hard to find?

So I want to connect my Phone which supports WiFi to my Laptop which is connected to the internet through wireless. I've tried to look online and so far there seems to be 2 possible ways.
Ad-Hoc: I tried creating a Ad Hoc connection via Network and Sharing Center>Set Up A New Connection Or Network>Set Up A Wireless Ad-Hoc (Computer to Computer) Network on Windows 7. When I searched for WiFi connections on my phone I did find the network I created but I couldnt go on the internet. BTW, when I create a AdHoc network, even my laptop is not connected to internet because I can only connect to one at a time meaning that I cant connect to my wireless.
Bluetooth: I believe that my laptop (Alienware M17x) has bluetooth. But I never really used it. Anyone know how to get internet on my phone via bluetooth?
Side Question: BTW, is there anyway to integrate maps into Google Maps 2.3.x? What about street view? Or can I somehow make Google Maps download the maps when I am connected through WiFi and store them so I can see them later.
I just got a AT&T C905a today. The first thing I did was debrand it using WotanServer.com.
The debranding went perfectly, not any problems to report.
But afterwards, I can no longer receive calls. I can make them just fine, but if someone tries to call me they get an automated message saying I am unavailable. Also if I call voicemail it says my mailbox is not setup.
The AT&T rep at the store did successfully call my phone before I left. So it was working before the debranding.
I recently debranded my C905a and I want to know if anyone knows for a fact that if by doing so I have reduced my phone's ability to mainain a decent reception signal. If I remeber correctly, I had the same problem before I debranded. I've called Sony Ericsson about the low reception strength and they told me that it was a network problem. I know that is not true b/c before the C905a, I was using a Nokia 2610 (a cheapie until I could upgrade) and that phone always had a signal virtually anywhere and I can count on 1 hand how many dropped calls I had using that phone. I do live out in a semi-rural area but, my mother has a Nokia 6555 (I live w/ her) and she does not have the problem with dropped calls like I do. But, w/ the C905a, I have to put the phone on speaker 3/4 of the time b/c when I put the phone to my ear, it simply looses all reception. The closer to the city I get, the reception problem becomes less an issue.

But the video mode it safe the clip taken. My memory card size 2G still not 50% full. Now I only can take video shot but not still picture. Phone call, sms, internet radio are in good condition. Whats wrong with my C905? Am I have to changed it with new NOKIA?

I can take video perfectly fine but it isn't the quality of a regular still picture. I've downloaded and ran the Update Service and it hasn't done a thing to correct the issue of taking a picture.

But yesterday I did a firmware update and now if I take a photo with the camera I can't find where it stores it. If I look at my pictures they're not there. I checked my settings and it should be saving the pictures on my memory card. I checked the remaining space on my memory card after taking picture and it changes. If I take a pictures it also says it's saving it. If I let it save on the mobile phone itself I can find them and I can find my videos on my memory card too.
