Does anyone know if the theme creator app. that you can download from the site is compatible with the C905a. I have windows vista and I could not download my theme that I had created either by USB connection or Bluetooth.
View 14 RepliesThe themes creator from the SE website doesnt seem to support Vivaz. I downloaded the software, but when i was finally able to create a theme, my Vivaz doesn recognize files with extensions ".thm" and ".utz"... the SE Vivaz is not in the drop down menu for the choices of the model where i can apply the theme.

On AT&T's site,it says to use PC Suite,which I already have in my notebook pc to back up and sync with Outlook in my pc. Is this true? And why can't I sync using SE Sync? I installed all the necessary programs and drivers, created an .xml file (for generic American version), transferred it to phone, tried SE Update Service, no go. Says I already have the newest software. I tried creating a new .xml file, but this time using Western Europe instead of America. Still, Update Service says my software is new enough. Then I tried going back and creating a generic American .xml and using Update Service to reinstall my OS, but that only reinstalled the old and customized AT&T OS which is what I'm trying to get rid of. So my questions are: 1) I was sort of reluctant to debrand in the first place, but what is the worst thing that can happen if debranding fails? 2) Is there some other CDA number I can use (instead of America/W. Europe) and still be able to use my phone with my service provider? Perhaps Central or Eastern Europe?

Currently I use a v3xx and tethering is easy has hell with my macbook. Just plug it to the laptop via usb and click "connect". Can anyone comment on the tethering experience with a C905a? I take a Lot of pictures, and having a cell camera of this quality is a must for me now, and it must also have xenon flash, and also work on AT&T 3G in USA. Do you guys know of any comparable phones in the pipeline with the camera specs of the C905 that will work on AT&T? I would even consider the Satio, but I hear it won't work on AT&T in USA. Is there anything else coming? or should I hurry up and buy a backup C905a before they are really hard to find?

So I want to connect my Phone which supports WiFi to my Laptop which is connected to the internet through wireless. I've tried to look online and so far there seems to be 2 possible ways.
Ad-Hoc: I tried creating a Ad Hoc connection via Network and Sharing Center>Set Up A New Connection Or Network>Set Up A Wireless Ad-Hoc (Computer to Computer) Network on Windows 7. When I searched for WiFi connections on my phone I did find the network I created but I couldnt go on the internet. BTW, when I create a AdHoc network, even my laptop is not connected to internet because I can only connect to one at a time meaning that I cant connect to my wireless.
Bluetooth: I believe that my laptop (Alienware M17x) has bluetooth. But I never really used it. Anyone know how to get internet on my phone via bluetooth?
Side Question: BTW, is there anyway to integrate maps into Google Maps 2.3.x? What about street view? Or can I somehow make Google Maps download the maps when I am connected through WiFi and store them so I can see them later.
I just got a AT&T C905a today. The first thing I did was debrand it using WotanServer.com.
The debranding went perfectly, not any problems to report.
But afterwards, I can no longer receive calls. I can make them just fine, but if someone tries to call me they get an automated message saying I am unavailable. Also if I call voicemail it says my mailbox is not setup.
The AT&T rep at the store did successfully call my phone before I left. So it was working before the debranding.
I recently debranded my C905a and I want to know if anyone knows for a fact that if by doing so I have reduced my phone's ability to mainain a decent reception signal. If I remeber correctly, I had the same problem before I debranded. I've called Sony Ericsson about the low reception strength and they told me that it was a network problem. I know that is not true b/c before the C905a, I was using a Nokia 2610 (a cheapie until I could upgrade) and that phone always had a signal virtually anywhere and I can count on 1 hand how many dropped calls I had using that phone. I do live out in a semi-rural area but, my mother has a Nokia 6555 (I live w/ her) and she does not have the problem with dropped calls like I do. But, w/ the C905a, I have to put the phone on speaker 3/4 of the time b/c when I put the phone to my ear, it simply looses all reception. The closer to the city I get, the reception problem becomes less an issue.

That is an official stuff and should be working with no problems instead of giving to me an error message: "Theme incompatible. Cannot set".
I have downloaded many flash themes for my C905 from zedge. But these themes are not changing the icons in the main menu.Even though they show the icons do change after I apply the theme in Zedge.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently my c905a has become unable to playback certain videos, the last 20 or so i have taken. The videos can be played immediately after recording, but later if attempted have a broken film icon instead of thumbnail and if tried to play the message "Currently Unavailable appears". This is not consistent however, a few videos in the middle of the 20 are playable. Their sizes are all varying, settings on each video are the same. I thought that they were possibly not playable on my phone so i moved them onto my computer - same issue, E.M. Total Player fails to open the videos. I hope someone can help me with this. I was counting on these 8.1 MP to record some good material for an oral presentation and final presentation for the chinese class i'm taking right now. I picked up great material, the base of the two projects. These projects are 40% of my grade and need to be presented in 2 and 3 days! How can i salvage these videos? Every video lists appropriate size, what else should i look for? How should i go about fixing this?
