Sony Ericsson :: GPS Not Working

I am having trouble with the GPS on my vivaz.The problem is that it seems to be having trouble finding the satellites and at best only picks up one, giving me a message that says "GPS works poorly indoors and in enclosed areas".I have had the phone for about two months now and it did work perfectly at first, I have fitted a zagg invisible skin to the phone and cannot recall if I had used the GPS with it fitted but have tried with the back cover removed and the invisible skin peeled back where the GPS sensor is located but to no avail. Can anyone help or is it a warrenty issue?

I can not get my Satio's GPS to work. At most it will show 3 satellites, but always loses the connection. I am not making use of Wisepilot or Google maps.I did a software upgrade 0n 06-06-2010 - no difference. How can I get the GPS to work? I live in South Africa.

Has anyone have encountered a problem with the Elm's ear speaker not working? I can only hear if I use the speaker function. And if I use the headset I can also hear it. Its only the ear speaker that is not working. Is this a hardware issue already? Just have my phone for 2 months.

I got the phone about a week ago , GPS didn't work since i got it . I installed the newest software R1FA035 ,and the result was. When i enter the current status: after around 3 or 5 m. it finds around 3 or 4 satellites and they are located on the top of the screen 2 right and 2 left , they are outside the circle. before updating it could find 1 or 2 max. at same locations , but the new soft finds 4 and faster the old soft was R1FA035 too so it is always searching and never connected. When i use A-GPS " Internet " it locates my town on google maps and then wait for GPS signal , which doesn't connect like i said is it a software problem ? or hardware ? or regional " i'm from Egypt?hope you can help me , cause i can ask to change the phone this week " 14 days from buying "This Message was edited by: George0Isk on 2010-05-19 23:09 ]

Slight technical problem with my C905 . Having updated the phones firmware to R1FA035, it has developed some connectivity issues. Firstly, when I now connect the USB cable, the mode menu pops up, but then disappears and the phone does not connect in any way. In addition, I cannot turn on USB charging in the service settings, just says 'charging off' every time. Also when I connect the phone using the 'C' button to boot, it just boots into mass storage mode.windows does not even pick up any hardware connected. Tried a number of cables on 3 different computers. I have tried doing a master reset but no luck. I cant update the phones software to try fix the problem, as USB does not connect. I tried phoning SE, but they just told me to send it off for a fee...and no guaranteed results.

A couple of days ago my Satio's GPS receiver doesn't work properly any more. I get no specific error messages, it's just trying to connect tot satellites but doesn't succeed. When trying to connect to pinpoint my position, the response (in Dutch) is something like: GPS has a poor performance when you are inside. Google Maps is trying to connect all the time, SportyPal is trying to initialize the GPS all the time.
No connection with satellites whatsoever. I'm not sure, but maybe there's a connection with installing SportyPal on my phone? I installed that about a week ago. I have the latest software/firmware update installed successfully. I restarted the phone a couple of times, left it outside for half an hour to get connected, nothing works.

I have a Sony Ericsson W995 and i've had it for about a year now. About 2 weeks ago my space button just randomly packed up. And now my "5" button is also starting to play up, when i press the button nothing happens so sometimes i may be pressing it 10-20 times before it works, Anyone else had this problem? Or can suggest how to fix it?

I bought a W595 last year in Jan or Feb.It was working fine until suddenly yesterday the ear speaker malfunctioned.The last call i did before the problem started was fine, the ear speaker worked.But yesterday when i called home, the ear speaker stopped working.My parents could hear me speaking but i couldn't hear them but when i turned on the speaker i could hear them.Is there any way i can fix the ear speaker?

I downloaded the PADDYPOWER mobile app onto my Vivaz and it works fine up to a certain screen. When it's downloaded it looks like half the phone screen are the "web" pages and the lower half is a "navigation pad" with a central "select" button. When I go to place a bet via this app, the "select" button is supposed to make the keypad pop up so that amounts can be entered but nothing happens. I've been on to Paddy Power and they say they have tested the app and all is working fine and that it MUST be a Sony Ericsson problem. now I don't really see how this can be

I just got my Elm phone today. I made a short video, downloaded the SE PC Suit and sync'd my phone to my PC using a USB. I then copied my video to my desktop and played it in Windows Classic Media Player. Now I have pretty much every codec update under the sun so was suprised to find that the video was extremely choppy. The audio worked fine but the video was extremely slow and it was as if I was watching picture slides as opposed to a video! When I tansferred the video to Vegas Pro there was no video at all, just audio. I could see the video slides in the programme but when I clicked play it was just black (with sound).

Since today, it seems my media player is not working. its opening, i can see which all media are there, but the songs are not playing, the videos are too, like stuck. i switched off, removed battery n put it back, no change. i did master reset, no change still. the problem disappears when a call comes(or missed call), it rings. then immediately if i try, media works. once i exit, and retry, its stuck again. same when i change ring tone volume. after i play ring tone, music works, after exit, problem persists.

My Aino phone came up with a update today and once it had finished it turned its self off and back on i put all my passwords in and it just turned itself off, now when i turn it on it comes up with the sony ericsson start up, then just flashes a light on and off about every min, its not the battery because i put it in my patners phone and turned his on and works fine, sum one please help optus couldn't and sony ericsson is closed.

It doesn't look like the Zylo activesync support the corporate required lock. Is this true? Whenever I try to sync it gives me an error check you settings message with nothing else. Anyone know if this is true and if there are any plans to add this soon?

Well the title explains what my problem is, I'm with vodafone ireland and can't get either of these apps too run, the facebbok one won't run anywhere but at my house, it just gets stuck on the loading screen everywhere bar my house where it works and the app store doesn't work at all, if you have any advice at what can be done it would be appreciated, also my firmware is up to date.

I just recently got the vivaz as a replacement for my old nokia phone, and i seem to be having problem with the facebook app, i open it, enter my details, and select the internet connection i want, but then it either says connection error or just closes the app, my internet app itself works fine with my internet connection so i know its my internet, i tried uninstalling the facebook app, but it says uninstall not allowed, i do not know what to do now, Ive tried repairing my phone, and Ive tried installing the software for it again, but nothing.

On thursday I bought a brand new Elm. Everything seemed to work ok until i have tested the implemented facebook application it automatically checked all the profile in a rush from start to the end (normally it goes profile by profile automatically, but if you tilt the phone left or right it goes one profile left or right). I went to the service menu and i saw the coordinates are not zero when the phone is standing on the edge... i tried to tilt the phone in such way to find the "zero" and I did, but in that case the phone must be tilted a bit backwards and on the diagonal edge of the phone. I also used the SE "Water Level" app and it showed the same result, mine accelerometer is NOT working properly. I searched some pages if there is any way to calibrate it, but found nothing. Does anybody knows if it's possible to calibrate it ? Otherwise I will have to take the phone back to the store.

I was wondering: on my Elm all keys are almost silent. No clicking soundm which I like. Except for the * key (lowest key on the left which you use for locking the phone for instance), which makes an audible click, unlike all other keys. Is this normal? For me, they could/should be all silent!

I'm trying to download a new software update for my W760a, because it tells me it cannot add anymore contacts and I can't recieve or send texts/ phone calls. When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. It just says on the tab "Sony Ericsson Support Phones Topic Updateserviceapplication W760a", and loads a blank page. Please help me with this problem as I wish to continue using my new phone.

I have a Sony Ericsson C905 phone which I find nice phone, the only problem is this, http://i905.photobucket.com/albums/ac252/mattsporter/DSC00003.jpg which happened to other day so I ordered a new LCD display off Ebay. It came today and I refitted it but it is still like this which tells me this is not a hardware problem can someone shed some light on this please as I'm eager to get this phone working again.

I'm a happy owner of a SE Vivaz. But i do have a problem with some of the apps included with the phone for example: The facebook app (included) just says "Wait" The twitter app (included) never signs me in if i press: "Sign In", but it works if i press "have an account?" it logs me in? WTF? Google maps, Ebuddy and more doesn't work either of pretty much the same reason.I checked with my phone company (Telia DK), and we have full 3G support where i live. However i don't have Wi-Fi here right now.
