Nov 2, 2010I'm unable to unlock my phone (vivaz pro) using touch. I have to slide the display to unlock the phone. when i unlock the phone Menu items are automatically selected(some times sends a message to a contact some times calls a contact) without my intervention. I thought it as software problem and updated my vivaz pro via software update but to no use. Its behaving the same.I have set default settings in the phone settings. It has change all icons(shapes and colors) but phone's condition is same. Can any one please advise what should i do?

Jul 16, 2010I own a C905 which I have had for just over 16 months and I have found it to be an excellent phone however me being a gadget person I need more mainly in the photography department 8.1 just isn't enough. I am looking to find out some information as to why there has been no replacement for the C905, I have my upgrade in a few months and I am beginning to get worried as I am far from comfortable using a touchscreen. A simple re-design of the c905 with the 12mp camera would be fine, something a bit slimmer maybe even if it was a replacement for the Aino which I had been looking at as I own a ps3 and would use remote play a great deal so was willing to sacrifice the added camera quality, but as fate would have it after deciding to upgrade to it my service provider informed me that they no longer stock the Aino. With my upgrade approaching and no sign of a phone to meet requirements in production as of yet I am not sure what to do so really any help or advise would be nice as i am a dedicated sony ericsson fan and really don't want to have to look elsewhere.

Sep 13, 2010I ordered my Vivaz last Saturday and received it in my local store on tuesday. It is now Sunday, five days later, and the touchscreen is completely not working. I was looking at a google map one minute, locked the phone and put it down, then I received a text and couldn't unlock the phone to read it. i now have three texts sitting on my phone and I can't access them. I've just come on a week's holiday with my children but my husband is still home, and I need to be able to contact him! I only have a quarter battery left on my laptop and I'm coming to my wits end - how do I keep in touch with my husband while I'm on holiday? We're only in Devon! I need to know either what I can do to the phone to get it working (tried removing battery several times but no effect) or can I go to the nearest vodafone store and get a replacement in store? I can't take it in to my local store until next Monday, although I will be working then so it's not that easy to get into town. HELP!!! I need a phone right now, and this is so not funny, and I'm not impressed.

Jan 1, 2010So I got this phone for Christmas.And I had a few troubles at first but nothing a quick post on these forums didn't clear up. But a few days have gone by and new problems have developed. Any help would be appreciated.
1) The middle button (used for menu and selection) is not working. But when I turn the phone off for about 5 or 6 minutes and then turn it back on it magically works again for about.5 or 6 minutes.What is the problem and how can this be fixed?
2) when I turn the phone off and back on it makes the sounds of it starting up but the screen just stays black.and then I have to let it sit for (go figure) 5 or 6 minutes before the screen shows. please help with this problem as best you can

Jul 20, 2010I have just received a new Sony Ericsson Elm. On my K800i, there is a play button on the left side of the phone which is really handy for playing music. But on the Elm getting to the music player is a lot more difficult, even though I create a shortcut to the "media" option, in order to access to the music player.
I will have to scroll down once, select "music", then click on "resume", which is rather inconvenient. I just wondered is it possible to create a one touch shortcut to "Music Player"?

Oct 14, 2010I am having trouble with the GPS on my vivaz.The problem is that it seems to be having trouble finding the satellites and at best only picks up one, giving me a message that says "GPS works poorly indoors and in enclosed areas".I have had the phone for about two months now and it did work perfectly at first, I have fitted a zagg invisible skin to the phone and cannot recall if I had used the GPS with it fitted but have tried with the back cover removed and the invisible skin peeled back where the GPS sensor is located but to no avail. May 20, 2010I got the phone about a week ago , GPS didn't work since i got it . I installed the newest software R1FA035 ,and the result was. When i enter the current status: after around 3 or 5 m. it finds around 3 or 4 satellites and they are located on the top of the screen 2 right and 2 left , they are outside the circle. before updating it could find 1 or 2 max. at same locations , but the new soft finds 4 and faster the old soft was R1FA035 too so it is always searching and never connected. Jul 15, 2010Slight technical problem with my C905 . Having updated the phones firmware to R1FA035, it has developed some connectivity issues. Firstly, when I now connect the USB cable, the mode menu pops up, but then disappears and the phone does not connect in any way. In addition, I cannot turn on USB charging in the service settings, just says 'charging off' every time. Also when I connect the phone using the 'C' button to boot, it just boots into mass storage mode.windows does not even pick up any hardware connected. Tried a number of cables on 3 different computers. I have tried doing a master reset but no luck. I cant update the phones software to try fix the problem, as USB does not connect. I tried phoning SE, but they just told me to send it off for a fee...and no guaranteed results.

Jun 18, 2010A couple of days ago my Satio's GPS receiver doesn't work properly any more. I get no specific error messages, it's just trying to connect tot satellites but doesn't succeed. When trying to connect to pinpoint my position, the response (in Dutch) is something like: GPS has a poor performance when you are inside. Google Maps is trying to connect all the time, SportyPal is trying to initialize the GPS all the time.
No connection with satellites whatsoever. I'm not sure, but maybe there's a connection with installing SportyPal on my phone? I installed that about a week ago. I have the latest software/firmware update installed successfully. I restarted the phone a couple of times, left it outside for half an hour to get connected, nothing works.

Aug 20, 2010I have a Sony Ericsson W995 and i've had it for about a year now. About 2 weeks ago my space button just randomly packed up. And now my "5" button is also starting to play up, when i press the button nothing happens so sometimes i may be pressing it 10-20 times before it works, Anyone else had this problem? Or can suggest how to fix it?
