i today, downloaded (with se update ) updated software on my phone, it downloaded and then started installing. when the install had almost finished (98-99%) it suddenly said on my pc screen, "update failed".when i re-tried to update, it says i already have the latest software the phone will not turn on anymore. anyone got any ideas please?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy son-in-law is in Mozambique, Africa with the Peace Corps and his Ericsson k618i will not turn on, even with it plugged in. He has tried the suggesions of removing the memory card, and then he pulled the battery and cleaned the contacts well. All he gets with it plugged into the charger is the light on the phone blinking red (which is not mentioned in the manual either). Replacing the battery might be an option the next time they make the 12 hour trip to the capital from their remote village, but nothing in Mozambique is a sure thing when you are talking about spare parts.

It was working fine but now no matter how I try turning it on, the buttons just light up and it vibrates but nothing comes on the screen. Is this a battery problem or a screen problem? View 2 Replies View Relateda couple of days ago I tried to do an update on my W995a via the SEUS program (latest version used, downloaded the day I did the update), It got to about 90% then stopped and stayed at 90% for about 2 - 4 minutes then it came up with Update Failed, I've retried the process a few times and all have failed, I've used the repair feature in the PC Suite program to try to fix the phone but it fails about about 90% as well, I had no issues or software glitches with the phone before attempting the Update. The phone now will not load the OS but instead just sits there with the keypad lights on. Is there a solution to this problem? As this is my main phone and the SEUS program has broken it.

They are very non technical and I am afraid I think these phones are not really what they should have gotten, but never mind. They don't have data bundles and don't want to use GPRS / 3G / internet. The top right hand corner bar never moves to "confirm" it just stays at "connect". Can anyone kindly help me? I really don't want to make a trip down to the Service Center as updating of software takes more than a week!
