My w902 has an issue with the light of the keypad. When I go into the walkman player, the keypad turns orange and it would not turn off, even when the screen's light completely turn off. I don't know if it's normal this way or my phone got a problem.I would like to know your ideas.

This is not a super driver because i don't possess the knowledge to change certain parameters. I believe the result is still better than the original. I would like also increase quality of video in butyrate, don't know if it's possible but if anyone can help me please post suggestions! 1.0 New Scenes: The images are now sharper, have more contrast and saturation, Less Compression: The shots @ 5MP occupy up to 2,6MB.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't think anyone will remember it, but I posted here on esato a while back asking advice about getting a smartphone, as I couldn't decide what to get. Well, long story short, I found a good deal on a N97 shortly after that and I took it, even if it meant betraying SE, since I really needed a good smartphone at the time. And lets just say it wasn't one of the smarter decisions I've made in my life. Sure, it served its purpose well, thanks to the good WiFi connection, the convenient qwerty, decent camera etc., but aside from that everything about it was so boring, and above all, really sluggish. Needless to say, I quickly started to regret switching from SE.
Well, I've learned my lesson, so to speak, and now it's all in the past, because fortunately I managed to sell it. Plus, things have changed, and I dont have the need for an all-conquering smartphone anymore. So now I'm trying to find a good enough successor to my good old trusty W810. Which is still performing flawlessly, mind you.
But I guess after all these years its time for an update, and here's where I need your help. What I'm looking for is basically an updated version of the W810, with the same strong points, such as good camera + good music capabilities. After a bit of research, I've narrowed it down to either the W902 or the newer Elm.
I guess the perfect match would be an Elm with the W902 looks, since the Elm is, according to reviews, better in the camera/video/sound quality department. Plus, I cant seem to find out if the W902 supports 16 GB cards. I guess the awesome looks of the W902 is really what keep me from going straight for the Elm, while the purple fringing I've seen in W902's photos puts me off quite a bit. And here I am going back and forth, trying to decide between them. And also: is the purple fringing really that bad in the W902 photos? If anybody here had the chance to play with both phones, and have a say on their advantages/weak points, it would be awesome.

Except for the * key (lowest key on the left which you use for locking the phone for instance), which makes an audible click, unlike all other keys. Is this normal? For me, they could/should be all silent!

And about 4 days ago, I just get dead button on C (for erase character) and the next day it just get worse. Another dead buttons on left button (option), Green button (call) and Red button (ended call). Not sure why it happen.
I found in the internet forum for the same problem but not solved. Also I have friend with same phone type and problem, bring to Sony Ericsson service and they have fix it. But the problem just back in next few days. They said the problem is on the flexible. I can't make a call with it.

The phone is about 6 months old from AT&T and is flashed to use the Taiwan firmware, any ideas if the problem might be software or hardware?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Sony Ericsson Cybershot C510a was working fine for last 6/7 months.I upgraded to latest firmware 3 months back.& it was working fine. Recently I cant use the phone because: It's keypad. It acts interestingly:
Case 01: After making the phone ON, 40/50 seconds it remains OK, but when I push the down arrow in menu list or in phonebook, It keeps going down & down.
Case 02: when I click on call end button to close anything, it closes that but opens the phonbook.
Case 03: After few minutes, it's keypad freezes/hangs & display shows nothing. I cant bring back the display(Pls note: at that time, when I open the camera slider, display cames again). When a call comes, display comes but I cant receive the call.
I tried master rest, Memory card format, Update service successfully, but problem starts after few minutes.
My K850i has brod (vibrates and blue ring & keypad only lightup - it repeats these). I upload /boot folder from backup, but problem same then I reflash main, fs, finalize with a2uploader, but problem still same. Phone not dropped, no sign of hardware fault.

But the problem is that the keypad backlight is VERY dim (almost off) all the time with it. I tried to modify it a bit and used the value 0008.
