Jun 15, 2010I Have Sony Ericsson w610i about 2 years and before one week. It started stucking and I had to put of the battery and making reboot to be unstucked. I tried to update it with SE update service but it stuck in the middle of the update and after that it doesn't opens. Only a red light blinks. I checked the battery but it is ok. So as I searhed I found out that the problem is the EROM or GDFS. I am trying to repair it with flashing programs, but nothing.How can i fix it?

Jan 11, 2015- using my phone in the car, charging via my Sony Bluetooth Radio (built in to my car)
- battery was decreasing faster than charging and the phone ran out of battery and turned off
- tried to plug it into mains but no red light to verify charging
- used another charger and still no red light to verify charging
- tried to turn on. nothing. tried to reset. nothing.
- checked chargers with friends phone and chargers were working fine
- tried to charge the phone with a PC USB. PC verified something had been plugged in but said they couldn't verify and there was a problem.
- left the phone for about an hour.
- when returned to the phone the red out-of-battery light was blinking when I tried to press the power button.
- went to my car and tried to charge it via the sony bluetooth radio
- lights turned off and phone returned to unresponsive state
- got home about 40 minutes later and red lights are on
- charged it via AC adapter at home, left it for a bit, now charging normally.

For a while i thought my phone was completely busted and I was so angry as I've just had a replacement. Before lollipop if the phone ran out of battery it would just start to charge.. I wouldn't have to wait an hour for it to become responsive again?! just making sure this isnt a fault.

Nov 3, 2010I am not sure if others have a similar problem.but here it goes.so I got my Vivaz Pro in Hong Kong around July and I brought it back to Toronto, Canada.The phone is nice all along. However, in September (2 months after I bought the phone), the battery is starting to warn out for some reason.I have charged it for the whole night and it only charges for half the amount.Sometimes, is not even charge for the 10%.So I have thought is the battery's problem and got another back up battery.But nothing have changed, the phone is still not charging the battery.I read somewhere that this problem is because there is some error in the phone's motherboard itself, not a battery problem.Can anyone verify the above information?What should I do now since I am in Canada and Vivaz Pro is actually not out in Canada?My phone is still under a 1-year warranty, but I am not too sure if this goes international (like I can still send it to Sony Ericsson Canada for repair?).Someone please help me!

But the problem is that the keypad backlight is VERY dim (almost off) all the time with it. I tried to modify it a bit and used the value 0008. Nov 13, 2010I got my Elm in June and to start with it was fine. There was the occasional moment where I almost had a heart attack when it wouldn't charge straight away but other than that there were no problems. A few months later, an update came out which I immediately installed on my phone. After the update, the home screen would no longer show my calendar, Facebook etc. (the widgets) and I discovered that other elm users were having the same problem after the update so I wasn't too worried by it.
However, I went to charge my phone one day (it still had 20% battery) and plugged it in using a Sony Ericsson wall charger and it did not respond, not even after several hours of waiting. The charger was definitely plugged in, turned on and correctly connected to my phone yet nothing happened. I turned my phone off and on again, still nothing, even when I used different wall chargers. I tried using the USB cable and plugging it in to my laptop and luckily it responded. However, it is very inconvenient to have to plug it in to my laptop every day and it charges painfully slowly. Is anyone else having this problem and can I do anything to fix it?The other problem I am having is that the Elm is using data (which I am being charged ridiculous amounts for) on its own.
I occasionally check my phone to make sure I don't have any missed calls or texts and within the last couple of months, I have noticed that sometimes the Mobile Internet globe is visible in the top corner of the screen and I have no idea why. I haven't done anything different to the settings yet I am being charged maybe £10 a month for data and I don't know what it is being used for or why and when it is activated. My phone is always on lock in my pocket so there is no way that I could be pressing any buttons by mistake and I have made sure that no applications are running. I have tried to keep Wi-Fi on in an attempt to stop the automatic connection to the mobile network but it just runs the battery down immediately and does not stop the data being charged to my account.

Aug 24, 2010I notice a flashing red light on the side of phone. I put the phone on charge seemed to be charging ok approx 5 hours later took it off charge. I used phone and noticed the battery indicator showing 1 red bar the phone bleeped low battery and turned off. I've done all normal trouble shooting tips still the same. I've bought original Sony Ericsson charger and battery that hasn't worked either.
