I have a sony ericsson t715. anyway whenever i charge it it will get to 100% then if you leave the charger plugged in it will drop to 99% or 98% and just stay there no matter how long you leave it charged in! for example my battery got low last night so i charged it overnight and when i woke up this morning it was stuck on 98% with the charger still plugged in!

I originally was thinking of using Google Map, but that requires a data plan which I do not have. I am wondering if it is possible to transfer the maps from Google Map straight to my phone via USB? If not, are there any apps or any way for me to get a copy of a map onto my phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a brand new sony ericsson t715 3 days ago. before i went to bed i charged it when i woke up the next day 10 hours later i checked my phone and the battery icon in the top right hand corner showed it was still charging and it had the lighting bolt symbol. i checked the battery status and it said it was 99% charged. the weird thing is when i unplugged the charger from the phone the battery symbol in the top right hand corner was full? so to test it again i ran the battery down to 60% by talking and using the camera. so i charged it again. it got to 100% then I left the charger plugged in 20 minutes later the battery status went back to 99% and the battery icon indicated it was charging by the green bar moving. so i thought the phone was faulty so i took it back to the store and complained to the technician and the manager and they said that this was normal. they refused to replace it and said there is nothing wrong with it!! are they lying? what do you guys think? just it seems to me once you charge the battery and it reaches 100% and you leave the charger plugged in after 10-15 minutes the battery status drops to 99% and is stuck there no matter how long you charge it. the battery indicator would show that its charging. weird huh? im used to nokia phones and no nothing about sony ericssons. is this normal? if not how do i fix this?
View 11 Replies View Relatedi live in aus and i have SE T715. im with 3. on prepaid. when i woke up today it said where the "3" symbol is meant to be "Inactive SIM". called 3 and they said your account isnt barred or anything and everything seems fine on our end. so i turned the phone off and turned it back on and wala it was back to normal again! the sim is only 1 month old! it hasnt said "inactive sim" since! weird.another thing is i couldnt make phone calls a couple of hours afterwards. the signal bar was on full but the "G" symbol in the top left hand corner disappeared and wasnt replaced with anything. so i turned my phone off and turned it back on and guess what? back to normal. it only did it that one time and same with the usim message only once. hasnt played up since! it just seems turning the phone off and turning it back on fixes it.there are three things that can be causing this 1:the sim card 2:the phone or 3: the network. what do you guys think.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my Elm in June and to start with it was fine. There was the occasional moment where I almost had a heart attack when it wouldn't charge straight away but other than that there were no problems. A few months later, an update came out which I immediately installed on my phone. After the update, the home screen would no longer show my calendar, Facebook etc. (the widgets) and I discovered that other elm users were having the same problem after the update so I wasn't too worried by it.
However, I went to charge my phone one day (it still had 20% battery) and plugged it in using a Sony Ericsson wall charger and it did not respond, not even after several hours of waiting. The charger was definitely plugged in, turned on and correctly connected to my phone yet nothing happened. I turned my phone off and on again, still nothing, even when I used different wall chargers. I tried using the USB cable and plugging it in to my laptop and luckily it responded. However, it is very inconvenient to have to plug it in to my laptop every day and it charges painfully slowly. Is anyone else having this problem and can I do anything to fix it?The other problem I am having is that the Elm is using data (which I am being charged ridiculous amounts for) on its own.
I occasionally check my phone to make sure I don't have any missed calls or texts and within the last couple of months, I have noticed that sometimes the Mobile Internet globe is visible in the top corner of the screen and I have no idea why. I haven't done anything different to the settings yet I am being charged maybe £10 a month for data and I don't know what it is being used for or why and when it is activated. My phone is always on lock in my pocket so there is no way that I could be pressing any buttons by mistake and I have made sure that no applications are running. I have tried to keep Wi-Fi on in an attempt to stop the automatic connection to the mobile network but it just runs the battery down immediately and does not stop the data being charged to my account.

I was installing the latest software update on my new Satio tonight and didn't realise I had insufficient battery charge until midway through the update. The phone crashed before finishing the update and now doesn't seem to take a charge, I have taken out the battery, SIM card and memory card and put them all back in, and had the phone connected to the charger for over an hour, but I have no indication from the phone that it is charging and it won't boot up. I tried running the update again but it failed again as well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title implies, I need to ask if there are varying kinds of Sony Ericsson LCD screens for the G705 or if there are variations in models made. Nearly 6 months ago I bought a Sony Ericsson G705 phone off eBay that only needed a new LCD screen. Well I purchased a screen off eBaand was good to go except for a few minor issues...
1.) The LCD screen had a thicker screen/border than the original so I had to mod it by taking off the white border around it.
2.) The ribbon that connects the LCD screen to the G705's keypad wasn't aligned correctly causing it to disconnect from the keypad every so often. This too I had to fix by sticking some paper underneath where the connector sits. It worked after the modifications but the end result is the keypad was raised causing issues where pushing the up key would force it to push the left key too. Unfortunately after awhile the screen stopped working likely due to the fact the different layers were separating. I gave in and bought a new screen from an online dealer elsewhere just to get scammed in the end with a broken LCD screen which they refused to replace claiming I cracked it. So now I've purchased a new screen of eBay yet this one has issues too, it's thinner than the first one I got, but has the same problem where the ribbon doesn't appear to be aligned correctly either. This time however, I get some ugly dead pixels in the lower left corner of the screen and the rest is completely jumbled with white lines going through it. I've already contacted the seller for an exchange and am about to lose all hope getting this phone working. Anyway, back to the topic. Do the screens in the G705 vary from region to region or between versions? When I got it I found the phone was from Hong Kong (firmware was HK anyway.) though the manual and included paperwork suggested it was from France. The screens I have purchased seemed to have varying differences between either the thickness is too wide, the ribbon doesn't fit the correct position, or some other incompatibility. I bought this phone.
Please help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. My Sony Vivaz was working properly and then suddendly applications stopped working. Then I noticed the applications I had installed in the memory card are not longer displayed on the screen, and when I try to take a photo it says there is no memory card and that they will be stored in the phone's memory. Additionally, when I try to reinstall the applications I always get the message File error. What is happening to my phone? How can I fix all these problems?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with the GPS on my vivaz.The problem is that it seems to be having trouble finding the satellites and at best only picks up one, giving me a message that says "GPS works poorly indoors and in enclosed areas".I have had the phone for about two months now and it did work perfectly at first, I have fitted a zagg invisible skin to the phone and cannot recall if I had used the GPS with it fitted but have tried with the back cover removed and the invisible skin peeled back where the GPS sensor is located but to no avail. Can anyone help or is it a warrenty issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my satio in may and didnt even have it for a month before things went wrong. firstly, i was never able to send a MMS to a virgin mobile phone. and then i wasnt able to send a text message to anyone. i called SE and they did all this stuff and called my carrier AT&T and nothing was wrong with my service because i put my SIM in my old phone and was able to send MMS and SMS. so SE said i had to send my satio in for repair(why they didnt just replace the phone i have no idea) and now i am waiting for parts. its been 2 weeks since i sent my phone in. and now i hear there isnt going to be another update? theres slight problems with this phone that if were fixed, it would beat the iphone and droid by a mile. i was just getting used to my satio and then i had to return it. they say i probably wont get it back until the 8th of july. thats just crazy in my opinion. why didnt they just replace the phone? when i looked into the satio as my new phone it looked so cool and when i got it i was so amazed by it. i even got a manuel in a different language, had to call SE and they said they wont send me an english manuel and that i should just look it up on their website since they update the software a lot...well apparently they dont since they havent updated it in months. to say the least, i am disapointed in SE with their future of the satio.

Is it neccessary to update to the latest firmware? I've also heard that Hazel has a lot of bugs. Is that truth? And recharge problems, are they that bad as they say?
