Nokia :: E72 Keypad Not Work Properly

I got my new e72 (fw up to date 031.023)a couple of days ago and i already found a HUGE problem with the keypad. The keys which have a number (R,T,Y,F,G,H,V,B, N and M) do not work properly!
I found that when typing at a regular speed these keys do not get registered all the time. At first i thought i was nuts and that i just "havn't gotten used to the phone yet" probably to satisfy my emotions of just having bought a completly new phone, having "upgraded" from the e71. For instance.. Without thinking please try typing these words, as you would normally with two thumbs:
I also found when the words start with a number key, everything is okay. But when you press those keys in the middle of a word, or at the end of the word they don't get registered very often (this does not happen with the e71)

i'm using a curve 8520 on 0S5.My letter 'A' in the keyboard suddenly won't work properly.. Just a soft touch and it would appear automatically... in Uppercase. Because of this, i am having a hard time when typing. i copy paste the lower case 'a' so typing would be easy.Also, since the 'lock' is also in that key, my phone would always lock automatically and with that... my phone seems to go 'off' and i would have to longpress any key so it would come alive again.i tried the application clean-up thing in the desktop manager as @BlackberryHelp tweeted me when i asked them about this but still there are no changes.. i also tried putting a tissue in the back of the metal plate thing.

I updated my N97, and after that my phone did not work properly, the old version was 2.0 and the new is 2.1, the charging light did not work and i get black screen when i turn my phone on.

I have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys.When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.
The problem I have is that I can't select the 'PC Suite' on my phone when I plug it in because it won't let me press any keys.Any suggestions as to how I can get my computer to recognise that I have the phone connected, without having to select PC Suite on my phone?

In Maps when I find a place to go to and press ok it says Waiting for GPS. And never finds it. I need to restart the phone, then it works ok, but only for one route. New navigations are not possible again.

I have a qwerty keypad on my E72 and I see the '&' sign on the button right next to the ctrl key but when I want to insert the & it doesn't work even combined with the shift and up arrow key. How can we use this? Same goes for the '?' and '!' and '-' buttons.

My Mmc card had a virus that's why i am not inserting it in my phone. that's why i'm only using my phone memory... i went to a special occasion and i took many pictures. after that, my phone hangs and it's keypad doesn't work. when i slide it up, it asks my security code but i can't enter it. Others say I have to format my phone but I don't want to lose my pictures on that occasion.

I have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys. When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.
I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.

I was wondering: on my Elm all keys are almost silent. No clicking soundm which I like. Except for the * key (lowest key on the left which you use for locking the phone for instance), which makes an audible click, unlike all other keys. Is this normal? For me, they could/should be all silent!

After recent upgrade to v 60.0.003, my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic does not seem to be working properly with my car bluetooth kit. It connects to the car kit alright, and the incoming call's ringtone is heard on the car kit and the call can also be accepted by pressing the green button on the car kit but the call voice (both mike and speaker) remains with the phone and does not come over the car stereo. If I look at the phone screen during the call, there is an option to activate the speaker but none to transfer the call to bluetooth device. I have tried fiddling with options in Accessories - > Car kit, as well as the bluetooth options, to no avail. Tried re-pairing but that didn;t help either.

I've bought my 5800 XM yesterday. Today I was playing some music and noticed that the sidevolume buttons don't work when keypad is locked! It's very difficult to take out the phone from your pocket and then adjust the volume or change the track unless you have put on the handsfree. Please let me know if there is any fix for this.

I have pulled the battery out many times. I have turned off the power many times. But when I click the roller ball when I want to say click on SMS my wife or who ever it goes to "Add speed dial". Then on the key pad when I hit delete it will type two letters, and some of the other keys do the same thing. And it comes and goes. Do I need to update my phone or is it broken and I need to get a hold of my insurance company to get a new one. I don't want to spend $50 if I do not have too.

Some of the key pad numbers on my phone do not work properly. The 1 does nothing. The 3 shortcuts to the camera and the 6 defaults back to the wallpaper. I have tried the master reset and this has not helped.

My keypad started acting weird today, the 4 key kept mapping to something in the music player and at least the 0 key spazzes and enters more than once even if I only press it once (haven't tried the other keys for that problem). The phone is about 6 months old from AT&T and is flashed to use the Taiwan firmware, any ideas if the problem might be software or hardware?

My best earbuds do not work properly w. this device.These are the v-Moda vibe duo and they work really well in any device i;ve ever plugged them into.i have 3 of these. I use my phone a real lot for music and the earbuds that come w. the Nuron are cheesy sounding and cheaply made.i thought this device would work fine w. standard earbuds.I;ve tried diff settings.the sound is muted and garbled until I press the speaker button and keep it held and then it sounds great obviously this isnt an option.what gives? does this phone require some proprietary earbuds? if so, that is really lame IMO.

After doing the update to v40 my alarm does not work properly (on both my 5800's), when the alarm goes off and the stupid orange and red bars come up saying snooz and stop they do nothing ! I hit them and the alarm just keeps going and going, I have to hit the red menu button and it goes to snooz mode, is there a way to revert back to v31 as I really do not like this newer v40 firmware.

I would like very much to download again the files I have downloaded, but it seems quite frustrating when trying to do that. When accessing ovi music throught Nokia Music Player then accessing Download History I can only download albuns that do not need to be full downloaded, that is, some of them needs to be fully downloaded and other not, besides that problem when I click download to get an album I have to refresh the page as it wont allow me to download again, it seems to have many bugs, bugs that did not exist when downloading the album not from the history.

It keeps telling me that the c: memory is full and that i should delete some items, however when i try to, there is hardly anything on the c:. Also the phone only works sporadically for about five minutes after switching on and after that the menu button and the touch screen do not work properly and i am unable to make any calls or texts, but can still recieve calls.
Also it is telling me that the sim memory is full and remains full despite deleting text messages. Has anyone else experienced such problems or know how i can fix these problems?

I have a huge problem with my N79, its only about 3 months above a year old. Its been acting up for the last 24 hours. When the phone's on, and i try using the keypad to either to type out a text or to move around the menu, the phone hangs / keypad doesnt work. I dont know whether its the phone hanging or the keypad problem because the screen goes dark, and i cant revive it, but its still on, and i have to restart the phone, but the same thing keeps happening. I tried hard reseting my phone, that didnt work either.

My map on Nokia E6 does not work properly. when I compare it with my friends, when he click on the map icon, there is some icons for driving, walking and .... but mine directly go into a map without any options! my other options like driving and weather is ubder application folder seperately.

I purchased a blackberry torch 9810 in Dubai from a Vodafone shop at the airport (brand new), I have had it for about 2 weeks and my keypad seems to stop working when it feels like it, it is usually the "ALT" and "n" key, I currently live in South Africa, where I can take my phone to be repaired? Should it still be under warranty even if I purchased it abroad?

I decided to sell my Evo 4G, so I erased all the contacts and all the data. Since I did that when I press "Phone" at the bottom of the phone, nothing happens. The number keypad should come up, but nothing happens. I used to use Go SMS Pro, so does it not work because I erased it? I took it to sprint and they cant figure it out, they say its broken and thats not the case. They did a full system re-boot on it and it does the same thing?

My bold 9700 stopped working for no reason! The keypad stoped working all of a sudden. I cannot type in my pin, the trackpad doesn't function, the unclock button on top doesn't work and after a few seconds the screen goes black and the only way to bring the light back on is to either connect it to my laptop via USB which will show the clock and once the USB is removed I get the home screen but cannot do anything there again; or i have to remove the battery and reboot but again I would get the black acreen and the cycle would continue.
My email, text messages, missed calls, facebook notifications and all come thru alright and the red light flashes to indicate this and I get the little sign on top of home screen but cannot access anything as the keypad and the trackpad are both completely non-responsive.
I called my mobile from a landline but again i cannot accept the call as pressing the green call button or any other key for that matter doesn't work. I could access the device via the BB desktop software and have backedup and updated the firmware (i was using the most uptodate version untile now without any problems) . The phone has not gotten wet and hasn't been in any damp environment. I haven't got any dodgy apps or security issues for instance as aresult of opening sapm etc.

Apps and free space:File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): can't get onto phone?Did a battery pull fix your issue?Apps installed and their version if possible. (Go to Settings, then Options, then applications): few games can't find them all out as can't get onto phone?
my problem is that I cannot get onto my phone because I cannot type in my password it comes up with unlock emergency call and cancel and I cannot chose any how ever when I take the sim out and put the battery back in it takes me straight to unlock and I cannot type anything but the blinker is solid is don't blink could this be the problem?
