my blackberry has just decided that non of the key pad or buttons are going to work but touch still works if i restore it back to factory settings will this sort the problem out also how do i get the phone back to factory settings?

It's very difficult to take out the phone from your pocket and then adjust the volume or change the track unless you have put on the handsfree. Please let me know if there is any fix for this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI picked up my phone three days ago to find it had turned itself off, it had only been in my bag and then next to me on the floor. I turned it on to find that it turned on in safe mode. I took out the battery to reboot it in normal mode, and from then on none of the keypad buttons work. It is also still in safe mode. The touchscreen does work, but nothing else. I have taken out the battery multiple times to try and fix it but it doesn't work.

When I do the apple logo pops up and behind it is a black screen with red and blue vertical lines. The screen is not damaged and never been dropped. The day it happens was when I was charging the phone and when I got back it the touch was gone and wouldn't respond, I also found it dropped and was hanging on the side of my table, or maybe it short circuit for some reason. No water damage, no drop damage, just stopped working. I am limited in what I can do and almost every time I want to close an application, i need to remove the battery because there is no way to close. It's very frustrating. I've been a customer of blackberry and Telus for the past ten years.Blackberry, or Telus doesn't seem to give a care about the substandard quality of their product or their customers.I had a Storm and traded it in due to the buttons simply not working. Bought a Torch and six months later the buttons failed. Sent it in for warrantee and Telus blamed me for a problem I didn't even have to avoid the warantee until I complained so much they reoplaced it a few months back. Now this piece of **bleep** is giving me the same heartache.Called for support and they said to send it in for warrantee work. I'm a realtor and can't anmswer my phone half the time. I can't use the back button or the menu buttons. I get charged every time I send the phone back for an evaluation even though it's not my problem and its under warrantee.

The only way for me to do things on my Blackberry is if I pull the battery, put it back in, wait for it to load, then enter my password ( using the on screen keyboard) then click one app. And once I am done with that one app, I click my red button, and nothing happens same if I click the back button!

All of a sudden the keys stopped working, no matter what i press nothing happens, only the trackpad is working. It happend out of nowhere, i didnt drop it or get it wet, so i have no idea how or why this is happening.
Can someone tell me shortcut keys for Zoom In & Out in Adobe LE 2.5 ? Since the firware upgrade pressing the optinav key does not zoom the document. Only way now is to use options and press zoom to activate zoom in & out.

And about 4 days ago, I just get dead button on C (for erase character) and the next day it just get worse. Another dead buttons on left button (option), Green button (call) and Red button (ended call). Not sure why it happen.

I think, I know a lot of you can relate because this seems to be a very popular problem...Bout a week ago my bb randomly started messin me about, first the 'L' key along with the 'alt' key and then also the 'A' key, they were stuttering, typing on there own, sometimes wouldn't work at all, they would even pop up when I typed a different key! also there would be times were my phone would freeze and I'd have to hold down a button for roughly 10 seconds to get a response, also all buttons including mute, side buttons, keypad etc.. would stop working all together, only track bar would work but I could only scroll, I also cannot use my phone whilst chargers in, on rare occasions my phone fixes itself, then brakes around 5-10 mins later

I see it the most when I am typing on the phone, the lower half of the space bar does not work, when i press it the phone vibrates as if I touched it but I don't get the space in the text, I have also seen it in the media player when I cant move the bar. it is as if the section at the bottom of the screen above the touch buttons doesn't do anything anymore, the phone senses that that part is being touched and vibrates but it does not do what it is supposed to do when touched in that location.
