I have a nokia e6, and it is a great phone.After the latest software update, the firmware was updated to Symbian belle which is also great, however there's a big bug concerning BELLE:Sometimes when i unlock my phone, the keypad freezes and i cant type anything (the green, red, menu button all work), the keyboard freezes, so i have to restart the phone so it will function properly.

It not only does this in text messages, but also in apps and in the internet browser.

I purchased it 2 days ago.Somehow i managed to write an entry (?) to a specific day (30Jan2012) which makes that particular day freezed in my calendar. I can't see any entry on that day, but on the weekly view there are colored markings of my appointements and birthdays and reminders. From today the Calendar widget doesn't work on the main screen either.It is really disappointing from a business smartphone... I can see the entries of the day on my E90. If i'm searching for the birthdate of a particular person on that day in my E7, the searching application collapse as well.

View 19 Replies View RelatedDriving back home today I noticed that whilst my E6 connected to my bluetooth handsfree, it didnt change profile to car but remained on default. Usually it does as I set it in the accessories options. Anyway I heard a new sms arrive and soon after stopped at home and went to check. I tried unlocking the phone both with pressing the d pad and flicking the side slide, but the display remained blank. I tried the power button and again nothing. I eventually resorted to removing the battery and rebooting. Seemed ok.

1. does the keypad lit-up (or is back-lit) when at night or in the dark?
2. does the actual package include a free microSD card?
3. which colour in your opinion is best? ( if the question to #1 is Yes then i would probablly get a balck one. if No then white i suppose).
I keep my phone in a leather flip case and when it's in my pocket, the torch button (space bar) key gets pressed causing the flash to come on.I don't know why this is as I always keep my phone locked and no other keys seem to work when it's locked.

Keypad special characters (the one in yellow) on the keypad do not correspond with the special characters printed on the screen. Example letter D should print "&" as a special character instead it prints "=". It's the with almost all other characters. I am not sure whether this is a language pack problem or not.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E71 which as I write is not responding to any of the keys. When I turn it on it boots up and then gets to the 'Set date' window, which I can't get past because it does not register me pressing 'OK'.
I think reinstalling the firmware will fix this, because before it stopped working it went through a phase of not working, and then working again, and then not.
The problem I have is that I can't select the 'PC Suite' on my phone when I plug it in because it won't let me press any keys. how I can get my computer to recognise that I have the phone connected, without having to select PC Suite on my phone?

2. Quickly do "Delete Data and Restore".
3. Installing Remind Me.

I did not experienced the self restart, the disfunctional pick call after screen lock, etc. My battery also lasted more than one day, it is almost 1.5 day now with 2 bar left in heavy usage (wifi, bluetooth, angry birds, fruit ninja, messaging, some calls).So, what bugs left?
1. The keypad lights is turned off when the display brightnes is less than the mid point of the slider.
2. The notification lights in the middle of dpad is still barely visible even when I use the Remind Me, faulty design in my opinion.
3. The mail widget sometimes did not update the mails that displayed, even though the mail client is already showing the new mails. I need to remove then add the widget again to fix it or restart the phone..
Im using Nokia E6 from past 2-3 weeks. One of the most annoying features i found so far is that phone's keypad light doesn't turn on when you want to type the passcode for unlocking the phone. Even if you manage to unlock & want to type an SMS or a browser URL, still the keypad light is OFF. This makes it really annoying & next to impossible to type proper keys in darkness.When you leave the phone without touching any keys till its screen goes little dimmer, then when you press any navigation keys, then the keypad light actually turns on!

every time I plug the USB battery charger (nokia standard model), or when I connect E52 to my PC the phone goes in locked state and ask for the security/lock code to unlock it.I know it because it's the default 12345 and after pressing OK the phone continues to work, but if I disconnect USB and connect it again, it goes again to clocked state (like doing it with the power button). firmware is 71.004I have this problem sice some months, but I'm not sure when it started ... may be the last firmware upgrade ? Or the last reset of the phone ....
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy E52 has proble. After enanled function phone auto lock period 30 mins, I could not disable it. When i goto phone autolock period, change, select NONE, then it appeared error: phone unable to unlock.
I tried factory reset and reinstall software but still can not change. I have to enter lock code after every 30 mins phone unuse.
Lock key stopped working during some update today. I installed the phone from scratch and installed anna over previous os.At sometime on the process lock key stopped working. It does not work neither as led torch switch.I have found no place to change this key behaviour.

With the almost over-sensitive touch screen interface there is a constant danger of hitting a function by accident, therefore one must have the screen locked at all times. However, it would be important to see the home screen or the running application. I need to see the screen, with or without backlight, not a clock display or blank screen. With S60 this was no problem, that's why I have an E72 for backup and SSH use. The E7 would be a better phone for this, if only it would show the contents of the screen while being screenlocked.
