Nov 14, 2011I bought E72-1 in China, Chinese (primary) and English languages built in. If I would have to reset to factory settings, the phone will start in Chinese. I've done it once. I do not read Chinese, so I had my Chinese friend to help me set it to English. Possible problem: if I had to reset to factory settings again, and I had no help at hand - is there some secret code to access the language selection directly (so I could select English)? As I'm unable to use the menu in Chinese, it'd be difficult for me to locate the settings.

The problem is that the phone lock code expires for every 24 hours.It is really annoying to enter old phone lock code, new phone lock code and finally confirm the new lock code every 24 hours. I think it maybe has something to do with the security issues in Microsoft exhange.

Jun 23, 2012I am using my nokia E72 for the last 18 months. 3 days before I reinstalled phone's FW 081.003. From that day onwards my phone is asking me lock code. And always showing lock code error. I already used the lock code option for restarting phone. I changed the default 12345 to 543215 and the feature is working smoothly until 3 days before. Now what happened is that phone is not allowing any of the codes. I try 543215, 12345, 0000 everything I knew. But in vein. I cannot use my phone anymore.

Now every time the Activesync Policy is loaded we get the message "lock Code set to 20 minutes" although in the Activesync Policy it is set to 30 minutes. With the Firmware 54.005 we used the same Activesync Policy and this did not happen.

Nov 3, 2010So I did a hard reset and I knew that I'll lose the Ovi Store. What it's completely new for me is that now each time I'm starting the phone I am requested to input the lock code. I have given 12345 but a message saying "Code fail" is shown and afterwards the phone works normally.1. Does anybody know why12345 is not working anymore?2. Jan 19, 2010Like so many people here, i have also forgotten my phone Lock Code. So today i have decided to reset it anyhow and while playing with my phone K850i - A2 phone, db3150, BINGO, i found the way. May be this should work with all platform phones. But still this has to be confirmed by the owner of different platform phones. The solution is- look in your FS in this folder. tpa/preset/default now delete this file- 'security_domain_settings'. That's it. Your Phone Lock Code is reset to 0000.Before deleting you might want to back up that file. Though it is not required. Tested by me.Pls confirm this method by different platform phone users. edit: Just found that by deleting this file, it is not recreated. so there might be some functions which will not be able to use if you delete it. But by activating it, it serves the purpose. asking for passward and all. if you give wrong passward, it will not let you access. Do it at your risk. this means if you forget the passward again, you will not able to retrive it. edit 2 : By flashing the phone this file is recreated and you will have the same passward as you have set after deleting that file. In my opnion, just flash your phone after you use the above mentioned method.
