Eseries / Communicators :: E72: Is There A Secret Code To Reset Language
Nov 14, 2011
I bought E72-1 in China, Chinese (primary) and English languages built in. If I would have to reset to factory settings, the phone will start in Chinese. I've done it once. I do not read Chinese, so I had my Chinese friend to help me set it to English. Possible problem: if I had to reset to factory settings again, and I had no help at hand - is there some secret code to access the language selection directly (so I could select English)? As I'm unable to use the menu in Chinese, it'd be difficult for me to locate the settings.
I've install 2 languages pack (Thai and Japanese), which my phone origin is in Thai.Thai language is working fine, but Japanese is unreadable (shows in square symbol).
I forgot the unlock code for nokia e90 i bought used. it was bought from ireland. so i was searching the forums and i found the *+3+call button+switch on technique to hard reset. the hard reset is complete but fone asks for code and now i am totally struck.

I'd like to install an additional language to my phone.Does Nokia provide any online resources for this purpose?I have checked with Nokia Service in Tallinn, Estonia - I was told there is just one service address in whole Estonia that can do this + it'd take about 2 weeks.

I use Nokia E52. Since some time I cannot write SMS messages, because strange letters appear in SMS editor. Options -> Text language show me that Cestina language ist set. This is the first from the choice. When I set any other language like English or my Polish press OK and return to the editor I can write one letter and after it the editor switches back to Cestina language. How can I set the proper language permanently ? Alternatively how to reset the E52 to the factory state completely?
On my Nokia E63, before updating phone firmware to 501, Hindi language was displayed and speech correctly in dictionary. But after updation hindi is not displayed at all. I have reinstalled language pack many times but not working. What is solution?
recently purchased a E6. Has updated software version to the latest Bella (What now regret!) I have the following problem: After unlocking the screen, i start typing need me contact. In the Ukrainian language, there where on the keyboard is characters "." and "," Is the Cyrillic letters and they do not typed. In the Russian language (which is very similar to a Ukrainian) there are also the same letters and they typed.
I´m working in China and I´m using my german mobile (E5-00) with a local provider. The provider sends me from time to time messages in chinese letters. The mobile is not able to display them (I see only boxes instead of signs)I want to know if it is possible to install the chinese fonts on the device - if the´re displayed correctly one of the colleges can translate me the message.
the subject says it all...i upgraded my e7 by doing the nokia software update and lost arabic language support. i can read arabic but have no option for phone language or writing language.on a side note i also dont see predictive text even for english.
[note] the keyboard does have arabic letters printed on it so i hope i am sure in thinking i do indeed have a real Middle East version of the phone and not some European one brought and sold here.
