using latest firmware in my e55, i found out that the images which are taken horizontally (wide) is rotated "clockwise" ingallery when you want to view image vertical instead of horizontal which is not the desired. It must be rotated "anti-clockwise".
View 3 RepliesI replaced the original memory card on my E5 with a new, larger one. All OK, except I lost the media gallery preloaded on the first card, of which the pictures were the most important. Problem is I used that card on another phone and formatted it since, so I can't recover the files from there.Is there any way to download that gallery anywhere? If not, I would be very grateful to any kind soul who could create an archive from his or her phone and post it somewhere for me to get to.

When I restart the phone it vanishes. The small dots comes only in the home screen, and not in other screens like call or games. Only in the 3 home screens. Is there any fault or something else is happening from Nokia site?

View 2 Replies View Relatedthe gallery app which was included isn't showing any pictures, which is extremly annoying, because many apps, like facebook apps, just show a black screen when I select "upload from gallery" If I open up the Gallery app the screen is just black and no pictures are displayed, only the exit and option buttons. Same problem is with the video app... I've already reseted it three times, but still no change.... And the crazy thing is, that with the photo browser app I'm able to see the pictures... Also there's a problem with switching the ring and alarm-tone. Exactly the same thing, I Do have music on my phone and the player is working... But I can't choose another tone for alarmtone, won't open fricking folder.

In my case, the sequence went like this:1) Receive email with attached pictures2) View each picture3) Press the scroll key while each picture is visible, get a Save prompt, and choose the internal phone memory. A "Saved to Gallery" prompt appears.4) Pictures were written to the root area of C:DataImages and can be viewed in Gallery5) At some later point, delete one or more pictures using File Manager6) Now when running Gallery, placeholders for the images still exist, and trying to delete them results in the a "General: System Error".There is no high level "Refresh" option.
If the pictures were on the SD Card, deleting E:private101ffc31glxmdstn (the card's thumbnail database) would fix this problem, but these pictures are ON THE C: RIVE! Assuming C:Private (which is inacceessible from any file viewer) contains another thumbnail database, my only options appear to be1) Soft reset (Will this work?? Please. no guessing! )2) Hard reset3) Hack the phoneI am using the latest E73 firmware that was released just a couple weeks ago. When I enter the gallery, I get a menu that I would rather get rid of.
I can choose between"all", "taken", "months", "album", "etiquettes". (I am using a swedish translation of those words on my telephone).
All I want is to see the first taken image and be able to navigate backwards and forwards.
i have to wait for 30sec to open gallery why........so late to open process.see the gap while opening in image?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason when I put my memory card into a new E72 when viewing pictures previously saved on to the memory card the images are showing incredibly blurry and sizes range between 1kb and 3kb, the pictures look fine as a thumbnail, and its as if the picture is saved as the thumbnail.
However when viewing through file manager or trough my laptop the images are perfectly sized memory and when opened they aren't blurry at all they are back to normal.
I have already attempted removing images from memory card, putting them back on, moving to phone memory and trying to view them there, but it's the same.
i was updating my e63 yesterday to v400 and at about 2 min left, my software updater roze and the phone stuck at blank screen. i pressed green, 3 and * button as it was xplained in faq, and i was able to boot up my phone. now, few things are missing,ike tiger woods game, facebook, Internet applications. they have shortcuts but not on the phone, maybe something else, but this things are noticeable. i can live with it, but what i can't live is connecting this phone to pc and sync, and future updates. ftware updater won't recognize the phone anymore giving me error "unable to retrieve device information". i disconnected the battery, tried to reinstall ovi suite and software pdater, but nothing works. today i took my phone to work, and was trying to run ater on this computer with clean install (never had any nokia software on isachine). same error message "unable to retrieve device information". the updater suggest to install updater (done!), unplug the usb (done!), remove battery for 10 sec nothing seems to work. well, the phone still works, even though i lost wlan in one of the restarts, but overall the phone is functional. i made calls, sent messages, installed few applications, listening radio right now.

is some of the dialled number is called again, then the right icon is shown.
I have a Nokia E7 product code 059F7J6 (language set 014.002.09.01). Phone language and writing language is set to english but I have a problem with the QWERTY keypad. Keypad special characters (the one in yellow) on the keypad do not correspond with the special characters printed on the screen. Example letter D should print "&" as a special character instead it prints "=". It's the with almost all other characters. I am not sure whether this is a language pack problem or not.

It seems that the problem may have coincided with me removing the memory card - hopefully not coinciding with firmware update! Is there a way to reset the image gallery to show all captured images?

I have to turn my phone off a few times or dismount the memory card a few times. And then they come back including the new picture. How do I avoid this. It's killing me (and my blog =P )Btw if I open and close the gallery a few times it starts working again. I just realized this.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I use the Galaxy S5 Gallery to view photos taken with the S5 the location data is always way off - maybe 400 or 500 metres.
If I use some other image viewer such as QuickPic or Gallery KK for the same pictures the reported location is accurate. If I copy the pictures to my PC and view them in Picasa or Lightroom the reported location is also accurate.
So why is the Samsung supplied Gallery app so wrong? (I know I could just ignore it and use an alternative app, but its other features are useful to me).
Incidentally, the recent Gallery update if anything made matters worse.
I deleted images directly from the images folder via my PC, and now have loads of broken image icons (1577 of them) which are presumably there because somewhere there's a file or database referencing the original image names.I can't restore them from anywhere because they're deleted, so some of the fixes I've found on the forums don't work. I've tried deleting files from within the private folder as well, as per another forum post, and that didn't work either. I tried resetting to factory settings, but that didn't help.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.
